15 One Step Forward
Arlene's house was just in the next neighborhood and decided to finally tell Edward her feeling and thoughts about him…
Arlene asked Allen to call Edward for her and meet her up in a nearby park which is just a few walks away…
(Hey Allen, Haven't you arrived at your home yet? I'm starving…And I want to get to bed asap!) Aria said to Allen, with the use of telepathy…She wonders what is taking him so long.
(Sorry, Sorry. Just a little bit more.) Allen said as he smiled
Allen finally reached his home and rushed to his brother's room, as soon as he arrived…
His brother was sitting at his chair and was doing some school reports.
"Bro… Arlene is asking you to meet her at XXX park. Hurry up! She's all alone over there. Thugs might hit on her." Allen said
As soon as Edward heard this, He hurriedly went outside to rush towards Arlene… He was in hurry that he forgot that he was wearing his pajamas which has a cat design on it that their grandma gave him.
He only realized it when he was already near to the park. He is too shy to show his crush himself in pajamas but he is also worried for he fears that thugs might really appear.
He was walking around a circle as he try to think about it… He seems to be not coming into a final decision until he heard Arlene's scream…
He hurriedly went to the park to see real thugs around her…
(I thought that Allen was just saying that to make me hurry… I never thought that it would come true…)
(Back at the Rivamare Residence)
Allen was eating HB chips as he tries to register in the singing app that Lea passed to him… As he do this, he was having a tiny chat with Aria so that she wont fall asleep yet… They talked with the use of telepathy.
(What??? Lea is finally answering Edward???) Aria said as she sounded full of excitement.
(yeah… I gave him a little push earlier because, he seems to be a little afraid of Arlene's answer…) Allen said
(Ehh…What did you said?) Aria asked
(I told him to hurry up and go because there might be thugs there…) Allen said
(XXX park, right? I heard that there really are thugs around that park…tho…) Aria said…
"Shiii***" Allen said out loud because he doesn't want Aria to hear him swearing…
(Heh…heh…Don't worry! My brother is going there! He will Protect Arlene) Allen said
(Back to the park)
It is as what Allen said, Edward really did protect Arlene. Just like, how Allen beat up the armed boys in the school, Edward was also able to beat the thugs up and made them leave Arlene alone.
Arlene was fine…but, she was afraid… She was really glad that Edward came and protected her.
She was still feeling scared until, She saw Edward in his pajamas…
She find it awkward for, Everyone always thought that Student Council President, Edward is cool and flawless… In fact, She is one of the students that respected him…
"Uhm…Your pajama looks cute…hehe…" Arlene said to Edward
Edward feels so much embarrassed that he thinks that he might die… This was the most embarrassing thing that has happened in his whole life, except when he wet his bed as a child…
"I'm sorry to show you this embarrassing state of mine…" Edward said as he stood still
(Back to Allen and Aria- in the dream world)
"Hey Allen! Want to bet and see if Arlene and Edward would work up?" Aria said
Allen smirked and looked straight to Aria's eyes
"What do you bet in?" Allen asked
"If I win, you pay for our lunch for a whole week!" Aria said
"And if I win, you'll have to fulfill one request that I will ask of you." Allen said and two agreed upon the betting…
"I bet that it would work between Arlene and your brother." Aria said
"I bet that it won't work between them." Allen said
Little did Aria know that Allen already knows the outcome. She only thought that Allen doesn't like his brother to date Arlene because they don't get along that well…
(Back to the park)
"Uhmm…Please have a seat…" Edward talked so formal that made Arlene talked in that way too.
Edward took upon that invitation and sat beside the swing next to Arlene's…
"Uhm…I'm sorry that I can't date you and became your girlfriend…I already have someone I like!..." Arlene said while her voice was trembling through the whole statement…
Edward looked like disappointed… He thought that Arlene would also like him because he was quite confident into his popularity back to their school…
"I see…" Edward said as he smiled and yet, he looked so sad…
Arlene felt bad for that and looked down to her knees… She started crying because of that… It was the first time that someone liked her and felt sincerity from Edward… She was always said to be plain, boring, and a nerd for her style and liking to Anime…
"I'm sorry… I'm really sorry…" Arlene apologized and apologized
"Don't worry…It's not your fault…Thank you for giving me your honest reply." Edward said as he smiled to her from the bottom of his heart…
Edward stayed by her side and guarded her as she cried all she wants…
He then, Walked her home safely… Edward went home afterwards and woke up Allen to accompany him… Edward has the habit of drinking milk tea when he is feeling down and so, They went to a convenience store to buy a lot…and then went home to talk about the matter…
Aria was excited to hear the news for she thinks that they would end up together…
Allen called her instead of talking using telepathy so that he can prove that everything she hears will be the truth that came directly from Edward's mouth.
Aria felt sad for Edward for he waited patiently for Arlene…but the feelings that they hold were not mutual at all… But she can't blame Arlene for that, It made her proud instead! For, Arlene answered honestly…not like other girls she knows…
"Bro…Cheer Up! Here, I have a fairy friend that can give you an advice" Allen said as he turn the speaker in his phone, up…
(The Heck Allen???) Aria said using telepathy for she knows that Allen was talking about her.
(You're a romance expert right? You already watched many romance anime…I heard that Otakus are mostly expert on this.) Allen said as he sounded sarcastic
"//Uhm…Mister Edward…I think that this is also good for you…//"
"//Instead of thinking this as a horrible memory, Think of this as a chance for you to search for a better person that would also like you back//"
Aria said while Edward listen to her attentively.
The words that Aria spoke to Edward, was not just for Edward alone…Deep inside, she wants to make herself realize of this…
"But…She was my first Love…sob…sob…" Edward said as he started to sulk
"//HE WAS MY FIRST LOVE TOO!!! I GAVE EVERYTHING TO HIM AND YET!!! HE DECIDED TO BE JERK TO ME!!!" Aria shouted out of the blue… She was talking about Shawn, her ex boyfriend.
"Don't get me wrong…I don't mean that she is also a jerk. What I'm trying to say is that… There are still a lot of opportunities to find true love! So don't give up Edward!" Aria said
"Then, Would you like to try dating me?" Edward said and chuckled… He only meant this to tease but, his brother, Allen on the other hand, Was alarmed…
"SHE CAN'T!!!" Allen said to his brother, with his face, flustered all over
"Chill…Allen. I was just kidding" Edward said…
After drinking the milk teas, They went to bed and sleep.
Inside Allen and Aria's dream world, Aria kept on asking Allen what his request is… But, Allen said that he won't tell her until tomorrow, at the school…
In the next morning…Aria was so curious to what Allen wants to ask of her as a request, that made her come to school, a lot earlier than the time she usually comes…
She was waiting near a tree that she accidentally saw Arlene confessing her love to Jerry… She was surprised that she tried to hide from their sight as possible…
Later on, Allen finally arrived and was ready to tell her what the request he wants Aria to fulfill…
"Aria, Let's go on a date at this Saturday." Is what Allen said
