In Trust

As the dust clears, Jesse and Max are nowhere to be seen all that remains is a rip in space.

     Jesse and Max wake up in a market district within the city of Trios, surrounded by people staring at them, as Jesse and Max stagger to their feet simultaneously facing each other as to finish the fight they had started earlier.

" Was that not one of your people? "

" Who speaks like that ?"

" Does my pattern of speech offend you or maybe I should just finish what I started "

" that would be unwise," says an ominous figure standing behind them as the crowd dissipates.

" you both are trespassing on Trios. As the King's Guard I Gadreel Kuma offer you the choice of death or bail by combat " says a fairly muscular light dark-skinned woman with grey eyes and thick black hair donning ash battle armour

" Sorry lady but I don't give up my bounty so easily ".. says Ryan as he impales Gadreel

" So shall we continue from where we stopped "

   Jesse and Max notice purple like tattoos running across Ryan's Face as his eyes become black, Ryan whirls his scythe dashing towards them swinging like a mad man

" Die! "

" Die! "

" Die! "

" Die!"

     Jesse and Max fall back, Max reaches into his trenchcoat and pulls out an extendable sword,

" Dragon Wrath Inferno," says Jesse as his body is covered with gleaming yellow scales accompanying a dense fog oozing from his body,

Max and Jesse unrelentingly attack Ryan simultaneously as tendrils sprout out from Ryan's body impaling Max but not fatally damaging him.

Ryan breathes in heavily letting out an ear numbing scream, Jesse punches him in the throat searing off the skin there and putting Ryan in agony.

" Have to kill... The pain... The pain... Kill... Pain... Have to kill, "

Ryan looks at Jesse with a twisted sadistic smile as dashes towards him

" Aryon! "

Jesse paralysed with fear, refuses to move while Max removes a serum from a side pocket, crouch and loads it in a rifle, shooting at Ryan who dodged a few shots.

" Tch! Something is wrong, no living thing can survive that explosion, we must have fallen into a dimensional gap opened up by the shockwave "

Max stands to his feet as an electrical current runs through his neon blade, he stems ahead in a second in a hurry to end the fight but he is intercepted by a semi deformed Belis.

" Juggernaut Destroyer "

    Belis releases a feedback energy wave pushing back Max. He grins looking at max as though he has found an old ally. Ryan appears out of nowhere and tries to impale Belis who in turn cuts of his weapon-wielding arm.

" Ryan or whatever you are don't get in my ..." tendrils impale Belis " way "

and reattach Ryan's arm.

The purple tattoos begin to run up Belis' body. His eyes also turn black but tendrils shape his missing arm and sprout out from the backs of both Belis and Ryan as they both let out an ear numbing scream.

   Jesse looks at Max, as though they both know that without the other they cannot win this fight.

" Give me time to use my final technique," says Jesse as he steps backwards

" I'm not sure how much you'll get," says Max as he drops a metallic box on the floor which opens up to form a platform unveiling an arsenal of weapons he tosses a flash grenade and picks out two guns switching his neon blade for another sword.

He rushes towards Belis and Ryan shooting at the tendrils, Ryan and Belis attack him head-on, Max draws out his sword its edges light up, he swings it releasing a plasma wave cutting through everything in its path. The tendrils reattach both Ryan and Belis' upper half, they come in contact with Max releasing a barrage of punches as their tendrils try to impale Max he swings the sword once more releasing another plasma wave. Max pauses as he coughs up blood and the opponents reassemble once more.

" Clasping Star Void," says Ryan and Belis as they both shoot out gleaming lights from their mouths at Max which implode on contact. Max falls to his knees as the rest of the King's Guard arrive only to be impaled by the tendrils aiming for Jesse.

Jesse opens his eyes, his body glows brightly as does his eyes he forms a spear of light while forming wings of light.

" Divine Celestial Technique: Vanquishing Spear of Light "

     Jesse phases through the tendrils and pierces the spear into Ryan and throws it through Belis. The bright light coming off him extinguishes as the opponents wither away leaving a trail of blood.

" I can sense a spread of evil energy. I need to warn the kingdom " says Jesse before he falls unconscious.

      A few days later after the battle,

the King of Trios, Andre Lawtre gives a pardon to Jesse and Max, while also making them part of his guard. Jesse and Max leave Trios arriving at Krone where Jesse meets up with the scouts heading back to mythika.

The dimensional gap opens again in Hale, an ominous young man with a white striped red gem on his chest appears.

He grins deviously...
