He hate that demon with everything in him. Sarah too was surprised while she switch glances from Kai to Nicko. Kai never told her about this.   "Then why are you here?" Nicko flip through a page on his text while he asked.   "Sneering for the souls of sinners whose time are already running thin but still seeking redemption from the 'ONE' who forge the planet into life."   Nicko instantly slams the text again his desk which shook Sarah nerves.  . . . . "Don't you want to know who you really are." Sarah halt in her stride. "What do you know?" "Only for you to find out." He smirked. She was a little annoyed taking fast paces toward him. She had no time for games. Within a second Sarah stood before him but what he did next was quite unexpected. Sarah stood still like a doll already possessed. Chapter 5: Night School

At least compare to either statements, Sarah's was less offensive and bitter, horribly bitter. Sarah could not believe Kai had such a devious idea. She could have suggested something less severe. Still, she contributed nothing.

Kai coughed loudly bringing Sir Charles back to the present. Now he was looking intently at the duo, obviously infuriated.

"You two nuisance wrote this?" Sir Charles stretch forth his hand to the board. His aging jaws clenched.

"Yes." Kai spoke first. "Since you are a dick and more so, your mentality should be checked."

Everyone burst into an out roar of laughter while Sarah only pray the earth could just swallow her out of here. She white skin became even paler. Her blood ran dry on what's going to happen next.

"Kai?" Sarah was already giving Kai a dark timid face. They followed behind Sir Charles.

"I myself will take you to the principal's office. This issue will not slide. I will make sure all necessary punition are adhered to. God be my weakness, I will not let this slide."

He held Kai back neck to make him move faster while he held on to Sarah's hand in case she tires to run. Getting to the office, Kai only kept smiling to no one but himself while his intellect plans kept working out well. Sarah could only imagine the worse. Other than the punishment, she fear her aunt will be summoned in to take precautionary punishment on her. Oh hell, she dread her aunt. This damn school may look like a prison but it was her only source of leverage from her aunt. 𝑷𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒊'𝒔 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌. She prayed silently.

Before they could see the principal, Sir Charles need to enquire from the secretary for them to be let in if the principal is free or not tied up with work.

"She is not in, an emergency came up at home and she had to rush down to attend to it." The woman secretary made no feeling while she cut in. Her seriously spectacled face was only focus on her work on the computer. While there were pile of files on the table that need sorting out too.

Sarah shift her gaze to Kai at the other side of Sir Charles body. Kai didn't notice her gaze. The feeling of triumph was building in him. He smiled.

He turned to Sir Charles giving him a pretending gloomy face like that of a sad girl,

"uh oh, seem like there's no punishment for us."

The mockery only made the man more infuriated.

"When will she be back." He asked.

"She has not called to update me on what's up. So until then, I can't tell for now." Her face still did not turn away from the screen." Until then I can't tell for now."

Kai chuckled while Sarah only thanked her stars that all her mind's worries did not proceed through. But then what emergency made the principal leave on such short notice. 𝑲𝒂𝒊, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐. His plans had worked out. She should be grateful yet she became anxious.

"Then you two will be attending my night class. No dinner for you." He lead them to an empty class, where they will stay for the night. He left them both to go grab his materials. Moments later he came back with Nicko slacking behind him. There was grave silence everywhere. Why wouldn't they be, there are only four souls in the class which is much farther away from the rest classes. And now Nicko is here to worsen the whole matter.

Sir Charles shared both their history texts books with small booklets. He announced.

"You are to read from first to fifth chapter of your text and summarizes it in your booklets. Since reading keeps your mind at alert, five chapters will do. You should know, your summary should only be contained in that booklets. If you failed to summarize all five chapters, you will be attending another night class with me." He face his three students with a smile, then went to take his seat before his almighty desk.

But Kai did something amusing. After Sir Charles made his announcement, wanting to take his seat, Kai stood up and blurted out.

"Yes sir" His ridicule was demonstrated as if he was a soldier saluting his corporal. Kai took his seat.

Sarah giggled but held herself so it wouldn't look obvious. Kai ignoble humour is way different from Nicko. She wonder how they became friends.

Sir Charles just couldn't take more of Kai misconduct. He was fuming angrily. He now know his target for any punishable offences. This Kaiser was not scared of him at all. He has forgotten his place.

Dusk came and everyone was still focused on their texts except Kai who keeps making disturbing growling sounds like a little child. He hates reading. He hate books in particular. Only when they are much importance to him that's when he reads. The text before him was enormous, well that was what he thought. Not to mention the pages a chapter carries. He wish hell could swallow him right now. He need some fresh air. So he kept growling like someone who is hurt and needed help.

Already perturbed enough, "stop the pretense Kaiser." At least Sir Charles was able to calm his loose knot of anger. He was even surprised how that came about. 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑲𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒇 𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒔, 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒊𝒎. 𝑯𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒚. He smiled. Those thoughts made him feel better of himself. He was a devil when planning out his punishments at his targets and he knows it.

"Take five minutes to attend to yourself, there must be a washroom close." He said calmly, again still surprised.

Kai rush out still performing his pretence of some sick child hanging on to his stomach. Sarah giggle behind her text book.

Hours past, and it was already past bed time. All the students are already in their respective dorms and teachers in their quarters. Sir Charles, Nicko, Sarah and Kai are the only ones left in the building. No one has made an attempt to write something on their booklets. They are still reading their text. Damn, it was frustrating even for Kai. Two hours after bed time Sir Charles walk out of the class saying he will be back. Kai spirit lit up when he is no longer within hearing. He stood up, stretched his aching muscle and walked to Sir Charles almighty desk and cleared his throat while he looked forward mimicking Sir Charles stout voice.

"Listen class. Today we talk about colonialism. Who can tell me what it entail. I bet you Miss Sarah Alden."

"Stop that Kai. You will get caught." She warned him in between giggle.

"Yes ma'am Sarah." Kai plops back on his seat, sighs and continue reading his text. He hasn't even gone across two chapters. He became bored, looked Nicko's way but got no reaction from him. Kai toss a paper ball behind Sarah hitting her arm. She picked it from the floor, opened and read through it.

'Who knew Nicko was one heck of a party pooper. His boring nature here is worse than the punishment itself. Jeez, what a waste of evil DNA.'

Kai lamentation on the the sheet of paper made her unable to control her laughter. Boss Nickolas Hade has always been a party pooper, charming yet he emits a dark demure which allot of his employees fear. She wrote some words on the paper and stretch her hand behind her to gave the paper ball back to Kai.

"Quite it Kai."

They quickly continue reading thinking Sir Charles might just come in unexpectedly to ask them questions from all five chapters. They both heard footsteps down the hallway towards the corridor but was wrong. Maybe it was the school janitor.

An hour or two tick by, yet Sir Charles hadn't come back. Where could he have gone to leaving them alone.

"Kai, where could Sir Charles be." She turned to ask him.

"No idea. But at least my eyes can have some bits of rest. Give it a break Sarah, aren't you two tired?" He turned his gaze to Nicko. Sarah did the same but quickly turned. Instincts told her Nicko must have noticed her.

Kai spoke aloud for Nicko to hear, "You guys can read your brains out, am taking a stroll down the hallway."

"Did my uncle sent you here to look after me. Like some damn helpless kid."
