Chapter 5 : Protected By You

"hey Zeke, may I come over your house again today? I want to see the plant." I asked kindly, Zeke stared at me with his usual cold stare, when will he ever look at me with affectionate eyes.

"then I'll take that as a ye-"

"hey you two, aren't you guys gonna go for lunch?" Matteo popped up from behind making me jump in surprise.

"oh um I was just about to go for lunch, I'll see you guys later then." I stood up but Matteo put his hands on my shoulders, stopping me from leaving the classroom.

"why are you leaving, why don't you eat lunch with us?"

"but my friend is waiting so it's-"

"then ask your friend to join along, we can have some friend time, after all I'm new, please~?" Matteo showed his shining eyes, making me sigh. I looked over at Zeke but he was looking out the window, not caring about what was happening.

"fine...let's go I guess?"

"Okay let's go! Come on Zeke, stop it with your gloomy face. You should be happy that your spending time with your soulmate!" Zeke rolled his eyes as Matteo grabbed my wrist, dragging me to the cafeteria while Zeke followed behind.

"Hey Clover! umm who is he...?" Millie pointed at Matteo, looking at the both of us as Zeke just sat down at the table, not giving a reply.

"this is the new student, Matteo. Matteo this is Millie..." I introduced them to each other, while trying to remove my hand from his grasp. After i got my hand out of Matteo's grip, i went to sit down beside Millie and we had our lunch together. Zeke wasn't talking much, he just ate his lunch in silence.

"I'll go to the washroom for a while, I'll be back." I told the rest before leaving to the bathroom, my stomach was suddenly hurting.

After some minutes, i washed my hands and face at the sink before walking out the washroom. When turning a corner to go back to the cafeteria, i accidentally bumped into someone.

"ah, im sorry!" I quickly apologized, bowing to the person. I walked pass, wanting to head back to my friends when i got held back and dragged into one of the further most empty classroom that no one uses in the hallway.

That i even never stepped into at all before, the person pushed me back, making me stumble on a broomstick and falling onto the floor.

"who said you can go?" i looked at the person, giving a glare to them as soon as i recognized their faces.

"What do you want Jake..."

"hey isn't she taking her time in the washroom?" Matteo questioned which was true, it has been 25 minutes since Clover went to the washroom and have not came back.

"normally she wouldn't take this long maybe she has a bad stomachache?" Millie chewed on her biscuit, saying.

"i'll go check on her..." i sighed, standing up from my seat and went to find Clover. I didn't know why would i offer to go find her when she may be just having a stomachache in the bathroom like what Millie said. But i do somehow have a feeling that she might have gotten herself into some trouble.

When I reached the bathroom that was the nearest to the cafeteria and stopped there, realizing that i can't just enter the girls bathroom, i'll be seen as a pervert...

"Great, how dumb can I get..." I muttered to myself, feeling dumb at that moment. I was about to walk away when he heard something from the far end corner of the hallway where no one walks to.

"am I hearing things?" I thought but went to check anyways just in case. I looked around the place and there wasn't much of a difference from the other hallways.

Just empty classrooms that were not used and it was in a messy state with tables and chairs pushed to the back and front of the classrooms. It was my first time seeing the unused classrooms like that.

"I said let me go...!" I heard a voice which seemed to belong to Clover's. I followed where the sound came from and it led to another empty classroom.

"what are you doing with her?" I spoke out, seeing that Clover was on the floor, her clothes were nearly taken off. Showing her tummy and her collarbones, she was struggling to get out of the other twos grip while Jake smirked at me.

"I just wanted to have some fun with this girl, now who are you to interfere?" Jake walked up to me, he was glaring at me for ruining his moment. I knew Jake, I heard that he was a playboy and a bully in the school.

"leave her alone." I sternly said, punching him in the face harshly.

"woah...why are you so angry for and why would you care?" Jake asked, looking at me before walking back to Clover, holding her by the neck. Jake tilted Clovers neck, licking it along with her ears while his other two sidekicks held onto her hands.

"well I'm not gonna lie, she does have a nice body..." Jakes hands touched Clovers bare waist making her flinch.

"don't touch me!"

"I said leave her alone..." I walked over, kicking the two at the side before giving Jake another hard punch to the face.

"she's mine and im here to claim her back, so don't you dare touch her!" I coldly glared at them, I helped Clover up and held her close to me.

"if I see you touching whats mine next time, I'll kill you..." I warned them, giving each of them a glare before taking Clover and leaving the classroom. I brought her to the infirmary room to rest up.

"T-thank you..." Clover thanked me but I just coldly stared at her.

"like I said your weak...so i was just doing my part." she kept silent, looking down at the floor. Seriously, i don't have to always keep an eye on her do i?

"how's your wrists?"

"It's f-fine..."

"then you just rest here, I'll inform the Teachers." I glanced at Clover's neck, walking towards her. She looked at me, curious about what i was doing.

"what are y-" I held her waist, placing my head into the crook of her neck and licked the same place Jake licked even her ear. Unconiously, i gently bit her ear, making a biting mark on it.

"h-hey, it tickles..." i backed away and stared into her eyes. I could see that her face was bright red like a tomato, before taking my leave from the infirmary room with no other words being said.

"hey Zeke! Where's Clover? And why were you in the infirmary?" Millie and Matteo asked as they walked pass and saw me coming out from the infirmary.

"Jake got her and I went to help." I told them, Millie looked in disbelief while Matteo was just staring since he didn't knew Jake.

"what...that bastard! then how is she?"

"she's in there, I'll get back to class." I pointed to the infirmary before walking away, leaving Millie and Matteo on their own, outside the infirmary room.

I walked while thinking about what i did earlier in the infirmary, why did i do that...and what i said earlier too, those words that came out from my own mouth. I was in disbelief but those words meant nothing, I don't love her a single bit, there's no feelings to it.

Yet what Jake did pissed me off somehow, i didn't like the way he touched her and did those things to her...

but I didn't say that because I loved her, I just said it to merely protect her from Jake and his pals.

To me, Clover meant nothing, other than just a stupid soulmate. My actions towards her meant nothing either, right...?

"tch...what am I doing..."
