Bad Day & An Unexpected Surprise
Midnight’s point of view-
Midnight was about to text Sam to come and pick her up when Xavier’s black Mercedes pulled up in front of her. He rolls the window down as she walks towards the car, heart racing in her chest as her blue eyes rest on her black ones.
“I will drop you off at home,” he says. “And no ‘buts’ please.”
Sighing, she opens the car door and settles down inside putting on the seatbelt before Xavier starts driving into the night. They were both silent for a while but it was starting to bother them as they both knew we had something to say. The tension was getting on the edge, filling up the air and getting thicker by every second until the both of them couldn’t take it anymore.
“Xavier-”
“Midnight-”
They both call each other’s name out at the same time then crack a smile at the silliness. The palpitating tension breaks a little.
