Demonic Samsara

[Disclaimer: There are swear words in this novel. You have been warned.] «Check out my other book, Mana: The Land of Magic! It's new!» In 2030, the amount of hikikomori increased and I, Tatsuya Kimihiko, am a hikikomori in 2042. One day, I'm visited by my sister and her husband. I was offered a job but declined it. And that stupid thing led me to death. Oh, but what's this? I'm not dead yet? I met a god-like being, and I reincarnated into another world, but as a child-like Demon. Can I live successfully and strong in this world, while protecting those close to me? [Cover image does not belong to me, I simply edited it.] NOTE: ~I try to make every chapter 1000 words or above, however, this may not include prologues and epilogues, which could have around 800 or 900 words. ~I try to post everyday, except for when I'm tired and just need to rest. ~Hope you can enjoy my book. Feel free to skip Ch. 20 to Ch. 22–and Ch. 23, if you want–I feel like those are just there for the fun of it. ~Because of my other book, updates here will be less frequent.

Venturing for Riel

It was one day after I made Sakurako my slave, we ventured through more woods, and both of us were attacked by many monsters. Varies from wolves, boars, goblins, kobolds, etc. I've actually levelled up quite a bit. I've gotten from Level 8 to Level 10, and Sakurako has levelled up to Level 17.

The skills I've gained are these:

Ultimate Skill, Black Culverin

Mana Affinity, Shadow Magic

Mana Affinity, Ice Magic

Status Skill, Stamina Recovery

Resistance, Poison Resistance

Resistance, Water Resistance

Unique Skill, Skill Combination

Skill, Bash

The Unique and Ultimate Skill I gained from achieving Level 10, while the rest I earned from killing some monsters. Actually, Shadow Magic came along with Level 9, but the rest were from either being attacked or attacking.

Black Culverin is a skill that uses up mana and uses Shadow Magic as a catalyst. It likes a cannon of shadows that packs a punch, or so Ai says. Anyways, we plan to go to Riel and score some credibility there, if possible. Maybe an inn too.

Now that I think about it, I haven't thought about what I'll do in this world. Zyn just said things about trying hard and being successful but I haven't thought about what I'd do... Well, that can come later. It's not like I was thinking of becoming a shut-in NEET, but I did. Things come without warning, I guess.

Sakurako and I continued walking through the woods toward the east. Since I had the skill, Internal Compass, I knew which direction we would be going almost instantaneously. I'll say it once more. We were heading toward a city called Riel, no doubt we would need identification, but we can get in with Conceal.

«Assessment. Incorrect.»

Really? Why not?

«The kingdom of Riel is a multi-species city, meaning that multiple species are allowed to live there. Quite different from the city of Warbeasts to the west of the kingdom.»

There's another kingdom to the west, that's good to know. So, why can we not enter with Conceal?

«Assessment. Some mages keep up a barrier invisible to the naked eye. It can detect anything which passes through it. If you go through with Conceal, you will be hunted down almost instantly.»

Yeah, now I know we can't enter. Is there any way to take down the barrier or nullify it?

«Assessment. It is impossible to take down the barrier without taking out the mages, which are inside the barrier.»

So, there's no way to get in. I guess getting into the city is impossible.

«Confirmation. It is not impossible.»

Ai-sensei!

«There is a skill which can nullify anything, that has mana, around you for 4 metres–it excludes natural mana within the atmosphere.»

Ai-sensei! Ai-sensei! What's the name of the skill?!

«That skill is the Rare Skill, Magical Nullification.»

Judging from the skill title, it's hard to get, right?

«1 in 100,000 people have it.»

How many people live in Riel?

«302,892 people are currently living in Riel.»

There are 3 people in all of Riel who have it. Maybe less, since, I'm guessing, most people in Riel are the average people. Meaning that we can't get into Riel. There's no point in diverging off of our current route. We'll just have to continue and camp somewhere near Riel for a while. Since, in games and anime, people enter and exit the city occasionally, meaning that I can use Identify on passing people and check who has Magical Nullification and who doesn't.

I feel like I'd just be wasting my time. I won't say anything to Sakurako since she'll just say something childish about it. Something like "it doesn't matter," or "we won't get caught." Those are the only things I can imagine her saying.

'Yeah, but I already told you...'

'Stop...'

I stop and so does Sakurako. We heard voices within the forest. If I'm correct, it was coming from behind us, the south. They sounded close. Both Sakurako and I looked at each other–we nodded at each other and silently go toward the voices.

We hid behind trees and peaked to see what was going on. There were two people. A guy and a girl. They looked to be teenagers. And... the guy was undressing the girl. Currently, he was unbuttoning her shirt. It didn't seem like she was reluctant, but her face was beating with red and the boy's face was too. I would use Identify on them, but it's rude to use it on random people.

«Assessment. But you just explained that–»

Did I now? I have no recollection of that, Ai, sorry.

But, anyways, from the shy look on the boy's face, this will be his first time. I'm rooting for you, dude! I remember always reading manga and stuff like this would happen. This boy with blue hair was about to lose his V-card with the crimson-haired girl. They looked somewhat similar. I wonder why... Is there an answer for that, Ai-sensei?

«My knowledge is not needed for something mundane.»

Pretty please...

«Sigh... The two are siblings.»

Oh, right, they're siblings. Come on, my guy, you can do it! I'm rooti–wait, Ai, please explain that bit again.

«The two are siblings.»

Once more so that I can comprehend it.

«The two are siblings.»

'STOP RIGHT THERE! YOU TWO CAN'T DO THAT! THAT STUFF IS FORBIDDEN!'

I jumped out and took my stand on top of a log. When the two saw me, the boy took his hands off of the crimson-haired girl and the girl hid herself with her arms. I couldn't see any of her assets but that's fine. The boy looked at me with his china-blue eyes. They looked like they saw a ghost or something.

'W-wait... y-you saw?'

'Of course. Weren't you going to have intercourse with your sister? That's why I jumped out and stopped you before you were going to do anything. I can't have people so young sinning early.'

'You say that, but you're a kid yourself.'

I tutted and shook my index finger at the girl.

'Girl, I'm older than I look.'

Despite her embarrassment, the girl started to smile at me.

'Then, you wouldn't mind if I looked into your soul, would you?'

'I don't know what that means.'

'I'm taking that as a yes.'

The scarlet eyes of the girl turned yellow and red marks appeared on the edge of her eyelid. She was using a skill on me. She said she was looking into my soul. I don't know what that means.

'S-sis?!'

The girl suddenly spiked and vomited, followed by continuous vomiting and rapid sweating. The boy went to his sister and held her softly. I don't know what happened, but, it must have been something to do with my soul or something.

'You... how can you house three souls?'

Three... souls?!

Writing this at 6 am in the morning. Hope you enjoy this chapter. I plan for part two either later today or tomorrow.
