Ch 3-A Transformed World

A century ago, a man descended upon Earth's equator like a meteor, ablaze in the inferno of hell. He released all his heat and energy, which radiated across the world, transforming humans and animals into demons and zombies. Trees began to flourish. Those above the age of 24 turned into zombies, while those under 24 metamorphosed into demons. They all hungered for blood, attacking and devouring each other in their quest for evolution. Some demons and zombies retained their self-control, protecting themselves from their bloodthirsty Demon and the frenzied zombies.

Demons feasted on zombies and became known as "Necrosyths."

Zombies devoured demons and became known as "Zombigors."

Demons mated with demons, producing more demons.

Zombies reproduced with zombies, yielding more zombies.

Demons and zombies interbred, giving birth to a new species known as "Lichmorphers."

Necrosyths, Zombigors, and Lichmorphers possessed immense physical strength and remarkable regenerative abilities. However, they lacked the ability to learn breathing techniques or possess any form of art.

If Necrosyths and Zombigors consumed Lichmorphers, they could unleash a formidable "demozo art."

There existed a theory that if they acquired humans, their power would increase tenfold. This was why I refrained from transforming any zombies or demons back into humans.

Then, one day, a year later, as I stood before your grave, an elderly man approached and began elucidating the origins of this world. He explained everything transpiring within it, asserting that you were the chosen one destined to restore the world to its former state—to bring you back from the dead. I used Nakime DNA and merged it with Yushiro, augmenting his power. With his newfound abilities, he erected Soratopia Manor on Mount Natagumo, the site of your battle against the spider family, if you recall. I preserved that old man for a century to pass his wisdom to you. According to his account, it seemed he was the very demon king who had descended from the moon.

Soratopia Manor housed a city within, where demons and zombies coexisted, while Lichmorphers ranked as elite soldiers, safeguarding the mansion against Necrosyth and Zombigor incursions. The mansion was nearly impervious to attacks, thanks to Yushiro's demon art, which rendered it invisible. His newfound powers allowed him to transport anyone from the entrance to the exit in an instant, creating the illusion that the mansion didn't exist.

Tanjiro listened intently to Tamayo's narrative. Suddenly, the room bathed in crimson, and Tamayo remarked that someone else had awakened too.

The warning bell began to toll.

Tanjiro felt a pang of confusion, wondering whether the mansion had come under assault by awakened Necrosyths and Zombigors or if someone from the ten capsules on the top floor of the laboratory had awakened.
