C20: Miscalculation

As soon as the magic was launched I and the other leaders all scattered, picking our own opponents on the way out. I was the lucky one and got Euclid. Flying towards him at my current max speed I instantly reached him with Asuramaru in my hands slashing towards him.

However, my attack was blocked by a small black cross-like dagger that radiated an intense aura that made even me feel fear. I know what it is. As a fan of Owari no Seraph it's impossible for me not to. It was a Sinful Key. A tool that in the world of Owari no Seraph was able to weaken a second progenitor immensely and completely stop his regeneration which was bad since it also damaged him.

"Where did you find that? Do you plan to fight with a small cross because I'm a vampire?" I said with a light tone completely hiding my wariness towards the object.

"Of course, that would be one of the reasons however I believe I should allow you to experience the other reasons." Euclid said with his stupid grin getting bigger by the second. Seems like he's confident in his Sinful Key but I don't plan on getting hit at all.

"Oh, then how about I give you a free hit? I mean there's no way you would be able to hit me when you're so weak." I said with a stupid teasing grin making Euclid's equally annoying face twitch in annoyance and anger.

"Very well then. Since you want to-" Euclid said with a voice that seems like he's trying to sound superior but really makes him seem self-entitled. Luckily for me, I cut him off, literally. When he was still babbling on I rushed forward once again and sliced towards him getting a small cut on his arm. It wasn't bigger than a paper cut but Asuramaru isn't a normal weapon.

It's a cursed gear and they are owned or possessed by demons and that means they are cursed, but that's obvious. The curse on my particular weapon is easy enough to understand, the more you get to hit the more desires you release and the closer you get to insanity, and did you know that devouring desires weakens the enemy?

Now that Euclid's got a place where desires will constantly leak from I'd say I have the upper hand. Oh yeah, it also causes a lot of pain since it's a curse but that can be ignored with enough pain tolerance so it doesn't really matter in these kinds of fights.

"Sorry did you really believe me? Sorry about that I thought you were smarter, my bad. Do you want me to kiss your booboo since you're so weak?" I taunted with an annoying face. Treating him like a child is crazy fun, I recommend it to all reincarnators in the future.

"You basta-!" Euclid started screaming but once again I slashed towards him making another cut on his body, this time a fairly long cut on his waist. It barely drew blood but that's not really necessary anyway.

"Oh is the little baby getting angry? Is it time for your nappy?" I taunted with an annoying face. I feel like I can hear Azazel laughing in the background but I'll ignore it.

"YOU BASTARD!" Euclid shouted at the top of his voice. At his shout, the magic circle began changing and I could feel the invisible chains on my power level weaken for a moment. Not wasting even a second I immediately shattered the chains without any hesitation even though it hurt a little. I don't know what he's doing but it can't be good so I took a little risk to make sure at tip-top condition though that did result in a large hole going through the entirety of my chest.

"HOW DARE YOU TREAT ME LIKE THIS! YOU BASTARD!" Euclid shouted with insanity in his voice while his desires increased from a little puddle to an ocean in an instant. However that isn't the biggest problem, I can sense the three artifacts starting to resonate with the Sinful Key and a huge amount of mana around the world is suddenly being drawn into the sky above us in huge amounts, like more than I even have kind of large.

However, suddenly it all stopped. The world stopped, Euclid's desire stopped, everything, and I mean everything, stopped where it was with only me being able to move. The sky in front of me started to change into a large portal of the colors representing the dimensional gap and out of it came the representation of 'red', the dragon of dragons, the one this universe was named after, the strongest being in our universe, Great Red.
