Adults are talking, kid. Stay out of it!

Charles looked at the data displayed in front of the ghostly face and couldn't help but smile. It was almost exactly as he had suspected.

—Warehouse Ghost: Chaotic Good.

"Outsiders?"

Narrowing its blood-red eyes, the Warehouse Ghost hesitated for a moment before finally opening the door.

"Come in and talk."

Unlike the other ghosts outside, this one didn't resent humans.

Upon entering the warehouse, the ghost locked the door behind them and led Charles and Zoe to a small, open area.

Using the light from their ghost candle, Zoe saw that the body of this ghost was actually a rusty metal box. In the distance lay some fairly fresh corpses.

"You're not the first people to come looking for me. Too bad..." The Warehouse Ghost took out a cigarette and lit it with a lighter.

"Don't worry; we'll be the last," Charles said, flashing a brilliant smile.

The Warehouse Ghost chuckled. "You want diesel, don't you? Help yourselves."

His easygoing manner made Zoe feel like the icy basement was suddenly a lot warmer.

"We need more than just diesel; we need your help," Charles said earnestly.

The Warehouse Ghost gave a cold laugh. "Why should I help you?"

Charles: "Don't you want to get out of here?"

The Warehouse Ghost shook his head. "No one can ever leave this place. It may be dormant most of the time, but it's always got an eye on things."

Lifting his ghost candle, Charles replied, "Before this candle burns out...there's a chance."

The Warehouse Ghost fell into a contemplative silence.

Zoe stood to the side, listening to their conversation like an idiot, completely failing to understand what they were talking about.

Even now, she had no idea who or what the 'it' they were discussing was.

"What... what are you guys talking about?" Zoe felt her mind go blank.

Both Charles and the Warehouse Ghost turned to her and snapped, "Adults are talking, kid. Stay out of it!"

Feeling wronged, Zoe sulked off to the side to entertain herself.

"You have an ample supply of ghost candles, don't you?"

The Warehouse Ghost's tone grew heavy. It knew how powerful these items were.

As long as there were ghost candles on the train, they could be assured of their safety!

It couldn't fathom the source of this terrifying power but knew it had to be related to outsiders like Charles.

Charles responded, "Yes, one of my teammates just left to fetch more. I've observed him; he's reliable. He should be able to leave us some ghost candles."

"That's not enough; there isn't enough time... The train is old and slow. It will take quite a while to break out of the station."

The Warehouse Ghost shook its head, skeptical of Charles's plan. "Once 'it' takes action, the ghost candles you hold will burn out very fast. They won't last long!"

Charles said, "That's why I've come to you."

The Warehouse Ghost sneered, "If I had the capability to deal with 'it,' would I be relegated to this corner? But I'm curious... how did you come to know about its existence? The ghosts here... they shouldn't be able to mention its name, should they?"

Charles dragged over a chair and sat down. "I found an electronic map in the control room. Although it's an overhead view, it had all the data about the interior facilities. With that data, I reconstructed the station in my mind."

"At that moment, I was surprised. Who would design a station that looks like a human head... No, a ghost head."

Charles spoke calmly.

"A few ghosts kindly warned me earlier that something has been monitoring all entities within the station."

"So, after reconstructing the station model, I began to suspect... the station itself. 'It' must be alive."

"And then I remembered the only area not labeled on the map—this basement."

"On this 'ghost head,' this warehouse seemed like a superfluous lump. A normal person would never waste a vast space like this, laboring to build a warehouse in the basement."

"There must be some special bond between you."

"If my guess is correct, 'it' is being suppressed by you, preventing its revival."

"Perhaps during the renovation of the station, some link between you was severed, allowing 'it' to escape your control and awaken!"

Upon hearing Charles's explanation and conjecture, the Warehouse Ghost looked visibly taken aback. And at long last, Zoe finally understood!

The ghost that couldn't be mentioned was the station itself!

They had been inside the station the entire time, which is why they were always under surveillance!

Thinking about this, she remembered the fleshy sensation underfoot just a while ago...

Does that mean... the Station Ghost is slowly reviving?

Her heart rate skyrocketed in an instant!

Charles once said that if the Station Ghost awakens, they would all die.

"Sigh... You're pretty much spot on," he lamented. "Its power can't invade this place, but I also can't leave the station."

"Inside the station, everything is under its watch, except for my basement. As soon as you get close to the exit, it will awaken!"

Charles placed a burning Ghost Candle in front of Warehouse Ghost, speaking earnestly, "I have a plan...

Zoe's candle and mine burn for the same duration. Use my candle as a timer. When it's almost extinguished, leave this warehouse and sabotage the station's control room and its 'eye,' drawing its attention as much as possible."

"Move to the train when the Station Ghost is on the brink of fully awakening, and we'll all escape together. As long as we move beyond the reach of the station, we'll break free from its control."

Upon hearing this, Warehouse Ghost fell silent for a moment.

"It's worth a try."

"But the Ghost Security Guard will be troublesome; it's the most loyal henchman under the station's command. If it gets serious, it could hold me up for quite some time."

Charles cleared his throat. "Don't worry, he's not here."

The Ghost Security Guard's grudge is now aimed at Tony. Even if Tony returns all the stolen clothes, the guard won't let him off easily. He may not be able to harm Tony, but he won't willingly walk away.

Warehouse Ghost took Charles' Ghost Candle and placed two barrels of diesel on a cart.

"This cart has my scent. You can take it back to refuel the train; you should encounter no dangers on the way."

Charles gestured for Zoe to take the cart. "There's one last issue to resolve."

Warehouse Ghost looked up slightly.

"What issue?"

Charles responded, "The Train Master; we need him to start the train."

"I don't know what exactly happened on the train years ago. The door to the driver's cabin will only open when the Ghost Candle is almost out. Obviously, we don't have time to wait."

"The Ghost Candle is our only leverage against the Station; we can't afford any waste! Tell me about the Train Master; I'll find a way to open the driver's cabin door ahead of time."
