DEFINITION OF FUCKED UP

Chapter 2: Her Hidden Self

"In the previous chapter, we saw how Junior was affected by the disputes between his parents and of which he was the trigger, Aisha submitted her documents for an internship, and Kisha got employed in her uncle's company"

Aisha screamed out loud and tried to run but a person quickly put her hands on her mouth to stop her from screaming out loud.

"shush...., stop screaming it's me, Aisha, "said the person in a low voice so as not to be heard by the security guard.

"SHIT... what are you doing here at this hour of the night? You scared the hell out of me" she murmured to Aisha

"Oh... Ma'am, I swear I didn't mean to scare you, I was just walking slowly for you not to notice but unfortunately, you did" she replied to Kisha.

"Why are you here this late? Your job ends at 4:30 PM, right?" She asked Aisha

"Ma'am it's a long story, you see..." she was interrupted before she could finish her response as the security guard came in a rush to see what was going on at the cafeteria before Kisha could notice Aisha was already under the cupboard in the dark side corner of the cafeteria where there is no light.

"Are you all right ma'am? Is everything okay? What happened?" The security asked while checking if there is anything or anyone in the cafeteria.

"Am all right, thank you, I didn't know that in such an impressive building, there could be big rats like the one that just scared me.... huuu..." She replied making sure she stands in the best position so that the security guard cannot see Aisha hiding under the cupboard.

"Sorry, ma'am for the issue that just happened I will tell the team in charge to see how this cannot happen anymore, am all around if you need anything, just call me," The security guard said

"Thank you for being that punctual, and of course, I will" Kisha replied to him cheerfully.

As the security guard was heading back to his occupation Kisha bent down to look for Aisha who was hiding under the cupboard in the dark and told her to make a cup of coffee for herself and find her in the office.

Aisha stood and made coffee for herself and followed Kisha into the office, she knocked calmly on the office door for fear of being reprimanded by Kisha, and she was trying to imagine different scenarios as to what she could tell her was the reason why she was still at the office that late.

"come in..." Kisha invited her into the office and offered her a sit near one of the two tables in her office, the one which had many documents packed on.

"Since you have nothing to do, we are going to cooperate" She added while handling a folder full of many documents that seemed to contain some company information.

" What will I do with this ma'am?" Aisha asked looking straight in her eyes astonished

"Oh... so you can eye contact with a person? For the first time today, you did look me in the face! Anyway, do you know how to use Laptop?" Aisha asked grabbing her laptop and opening it by putting in a password.

"Yes, I know how to use it" She answered

"Okay coffee girl, help me record those files I just handed to you in the database I will be needing them very soon".

"All right ma'am" She replied taking the laptop and as Kisha was verifying if the files are complete. Aisha took the opportunity and went through Kisha's laptop in the gallery and started to look at the pictures and videos and at she saw something that made her freeze and is shocked.

"Wow!" Aisha exclaimed

"What...! Why are you so excited?" Kisha asked with a gaze at the files which she was busy checking.

"Are you a model or something?" She asked all excited.

"Shush..." She quickly grabbed her laptop back and checked if no one has heard what she said though no one was around. "please don't tell anyone about what you have seen or anything about this okay... "She said with a pity face.

"No, I am not a snitch don't worry," She replied at the same time snatching back the PC. She kept on scrolling down the pictures and she fell on some quite interesting videos.

"Wow... so you are also a designer! How can you be this talented and waste your time on these papers? What happened?

Kisha stopped everything she was doing and face her in the eyes and told her that not everything had an explanation and that every person has his or her own untold story.

They both agreed to finish work due in thirty minutes so that they share their stories. Forty-eight minutes later, they had both finished what they were doing.

"Let's leave, "Kisha said while arranging the office files.

"Go where?" Aisha asked with an expression of curiosity.

"It's clear that you want to go home, so wait and follow me where I want to take you," Kisha replied.

After putting everything in place they headed to Kisha's car and drove chit-chatting to a fancy restaurant in town, while Kisha ordered a cold scotch as per her habits, Aisha preferred to order a cold apple juice. Kisha looked at her in as if she was shocked that she ordered a glass of apple juice, Aisha felt the emotion and was tempted to explain herself but decide just to drop it.

"What?" said Kisha in a teasing tone

"Well I don't booze and its' neither religious beliefs nor strict parents but because it's the path I decided to follow in my life" she replied in a firm and resilient tone.

"That sounds convincing," Kisha said shaking her head in conviction.

As they were both enjoying their drinks, they announced that a musician was going to take over on the stage to entertain the clients as is always the case every evening.

Junior was the star of the evening and as he was taking up the stage, before singing he started thanking her cousin Kisha who came to support him, and she reacted with a scream showing that she is a good fan of him.

Aisha was kind of astonished and with a sentiment of curiosity she asked Kisha whom that guy was, grabbing her drink Kisha told Aisha that Junior is her cousin and that they lived together at the time.

"Why were you in the cafeteria all alone tonight?" Kisha asked the coffee girl expressing curiosity.

"I didn't want to get home early" she replied expressing anguish

"Why? Did you quarrel with your parents or something?"

"No... I just don't want drama "She answered looking down.

"Can you tell me more about that drama Aisha?" She asked expressing concern

"Kisha, am the only daughter of my mom, my dad passed away long ago, and my mom re-married an engineer who has a son a bit older than me, my mom always wants to me be a businesswoman like her, while me I have other ambitions, she always insults me because of my style and way of being and thus makes me sick and I don't want to be home early and prefer to be home when she is already sleeping" She sadly replied.

"Damn, she doesn't like your style and behavior?" She asked in astonishment.

"She usually tells me that she finds me weird and that it's the same case with her friend who always tells her that am not normal, that I don't behave like girls of my age. She is so deceived by me to the extent that she always asks herself if am hers. That is without mentioning my step-dad who always asks me when I when I will be married, and all that upsets me a lot." She told Kisha with a cold sad face.

"Do you mind me asking you how old are you?" she asked Aisha.

"I am 24, with no career, no friends, no boyfriend, and a bad relationship with my parents that makes me feel weird and useless in society" She replied.

As they were conversing, Junior had finished his performance which was largely enjoyed by the audience, who gave him loud handclaps showing enjoyment of what he had performed. As he was leaving the stage, he went toward the table where Kisha and Aisha were sited.

"Hello, ladies ..." He greeted them in a friendly tone.

"What's up Cousin?" She asked with a big smile on her face.

"Am all right, but am smelling a serious conversation around here" He replied.

"Nothing much dear ..." Kisha said

Kisha continued introducing Aisha to Junior and Junior to Aisha, they conversed a little bit.

"Why are you staring a lot at me, Young Man?" Aisha asked Junior in a teasing manner

"I like your outfit Aisha, it unique " He replied.

"Like for real!!! Aren't you just making fun of me or aren't you going to ask my sexuality like others?" She asked

"Yeah I like this kind of outfit on ladies "He replied.

They kept on conversing, laughing, and taking drinks all along that evening but Aisha received an SMS that popped up on the screen of her phone, after reading it, she started shading tears and quickly stood up and picked up her bag and lefts without sparing room to Kisha and Junior to ask her any question.

Why is she leaving? What was the SMS talking about? Is it about family To another thing?

TO be continued....
