THIRTY EIGHT

I didn't know what to do, neither of us did. Amy just called Isabel her mother. That didn't make sense, she had told me about her mother when we were sitting in the jail cell together.

"Don't just stand there, somebody call an ambulance" screamed Isabel, walking over to Amy's unconscious body on the ground. I scrambled around looking for my bag on the carpeted floor, dialling the hotline

Celia and Hilden got dressed in time just as the door opened revealing John's face

"Celia? What are you doing here" he asked his flustered wife

"I was on my way to see you and l heard the commotion here and decided to come see what was going on" she said walking over to her husband and smothering him with a billion kisses. This caused Isabel and l to scoff but none of us had the heart to tell the sweet old man the truth about what his son and wife were doing behind his back

"what is going on? Who is this woman on the floor?" he asked mortified
