Pov Clowey:

I watched as Gregory walked away, dripping with blood. Honestly, I was traumatized, that was the most horrific thing I have ever seen, but what I was confused by was how I felt about it. Gregory, I knew for all of my short life, yet I would have never thought he would have done something like that.

'Was it wrong?' I thought to myself as I looked at the corpse of Aunt Erica, though I was only able to get a glance before looking away due to shock and disgust.

'No… the morals of the situation don't matter! Once Mom finds out that Erica is dead, then she might report it to the headquarters that Aunt Erica was talking about and will have demons here that may be killing us. So we must escape, right now before Mom knows that Aunt Erica is dead' I thought, as my high IQ kicked into gear.

Looking at the twins I could tell that they were not happy with what they saw. "I say we just ditch him, I wouldn't want a person like that around me," Adriana said, I think she was traumatized, who wouldn't be. "I don't think that is a good idea… it was wrong but he may have just saved us…" I say back.

"Do you honestly want someone who can do that around us? And did you forget that he almost killed you!" She said while pointing at the corpse. "Yes… honestly yes I would want someone who could do that, you heard what Aunt Erica said, Demons, we are livestock for Demons. And he was out of it, totally not aware of his surroundings, and I don't blame him, it was probably traumatizing for him too!" I say while emphasizing the word Demon.

"She was Crazy, you saw how unhinged she was! How could things such as Demons be real, it was just ramblings of a lunatic" Adriana said. "And if what she said was real? What would you do? Are you going to kill one?" Silence, after I said that silence until I continued.

"... Yea I wouldn't be able to kill a demon, you wouldn't either, neither would Gregory, but did you forget that he was our friend for all of our life, he has never lied to us like Erica has or Mom, we shouldn't ditch him, even if he did something horrible, at least he did it to protect us." My argument ends.

*sigh* "Fine, you're right, I don't like it but you're right, in the worst-case scenario where there are demons, at least he could be a meat shield," Adriana said as she crossed her arms. "I-I a-agree" Adrian stuttered in agreement. I just nod seeing that we have agreed.

"We should plan to escape soon when mom finds out Gregory killed Erica, in the worst-case scenario she'll send Demons, so we should escape today," I say as I pick up the compass that Gregory said was a tracking device, while I did that Gregory came out of the brush. "Ok guys we have to escape, so we already got most of the plan down, what's the rest of it?"

----------30 Minutes Later----------

Pov Gregory:

"Ok, guys you all know the plan, let's go," Clowey says as we all go back to the orphanage, we discuss the plan in finer detail and we're about to execute it. I didn't know what they talked about while I was cleaning myself, but they seemed to be uncomfortable around me, I thought it would be worse.

I was the only one not heading back to the orphanage, my clothes were stained with blood, and I would stand out like a sore thumb. My job was to make the distraction, and what's a better distraction than a forest fire?

I rushed through the forest collecting twigs and sticks, and anything that seemed burnable. I put all of the stuff in a pile, the forest was pretty dry today, so it was pretty lucky. Taking my shirt off I used it as a sort of rope as I tied the two ends of my shirt to a bow-like stick I found, creating a bow drill.

I searched for Brian's and Aunt Erica's bodies, it wasn't hard to find in the woods, as I just tracked where the direction of Aunt Erica came from. Dragging the corpses near the pile of burning stuff that I stacked on a tree, I started using the bow drill. Spinning the drill back and forth using the friction of the wood to create heat.

While I was doing this I wanted to say my final goodbyes to both Brian, this was his funeral. "I'm sorry… I'm sorry Brian... I wasn't able to save you, but we will try to escape for you and save as many people as we can, we all will miss you…" is all I said.

After a long time where my muscles seemed to give out on me, a small fire started. Being careful not to put out the flame, I put more burnt stuff on the fire until it got bigger and bigger until it got the tree on fire.

Standing in front of the fire I had made, I pulled out my knife, the stainless steel stained red from blood, I held it up to my left ear. You see when we discovered that we were being tracked, we concluded that we must have a tracking device on our bodies.

Clowey quickly figured out that it was in our left ear from her experience taking care of the babies, after a while, she noticed this bump in the back of all the baby's left ears, she didn't know what it was at the time, but after she knew we were being tracked she immediately figured out that it was the tracking device in our left ear.

So if I were to cut it off… *Slice* "Aaaaaahhhhh, Fuck" I screamed as I cut off my ear, it was extremely painful, blood came out of the new hole I made in my body. Trying to collect myself I take my severed ear and throw it into the fire. *Huh-ah* *Huh-ah* *Huh-ah* I breathed heavily as I watched the fire roar. 'Now it's just up to the others, I'll meet them at the gate' I thought as I tried to close up the bleeding.

Pov Adrian:

Looking at the smoke in the distance I knew that was our signal, I nod at the others as we make our move. "MOM MOM!" We all yell as we run desperately to the orphanage, hearing our plea mom comes rushing out with a concerned look on her face.

"What is it? What's going on?" She says considered. "There was a fire, then Aunt Erica ran in and Brian and Gregory" Adriana acted. "W-What she is saying is that t-the three of them are in that fire," Clowey said with a calmer but still panicked voice.

Mom looked up into the sky and saw the smoke flume, her eyes widened in shock. She quickly got out her compass and flipped it open, her eyes widened again as she looked shocked at the compass. "Ok! Recess is over everyone inside now!" Mom yelled. Everyone followed her command as we went inside.

"Clowey takes count of everyone, makes sure everyone is accounted for." She said to everyone before rushing in the direction of the smoke. We all walked confused inside, some of the kids saw the smoke and are now worried.

"Adrian, what's with the fire? Is everything going to be ok?" One of the younger kids came up to me, he was barely 3. I kneel on one knee and say "Don't worry Tommy everything is going to be just fine". I say reassuring him.

All of us are now sitting in the dining room, some worried and most confused. We already planned for me to explain the situation to the kids, so I stepped up to one of the tables and got everyone's attention.

"Ok everyone, I know you are confused, but I will explain everything," I said in a loud voice. "But before I explain, I would like the kids younger than 5 to please leave," I said, after a lot of deliberation we decided with a heavy heart to leave the younger kids behind, if we brought them along, they would slow us down and may even kill us all, it was a hard decision.

After watching the older kids help the younger ones leave, I start explaining how this orphanage was a human trafficking scheme, and Mom and Aunt were part of it. Some of them didn't believe me, but I then showed them the compass and how they were being tracked. I lied to them, we didn't have much time to tell them the whole picture, I just needed them to trust me enough to escape with me.

I watched as they went through shock, surprise, grief, and all of the emotions I went through when I found out about the truth.
