Dear Diary, I’m Fine

It all began with a diary. Her diary. *** "There are a lot of things I wish to do with you, Tinkerbell" My hands gripped the sheets, breaths pouring out heavy, while my moans drifted to his ears. "Only if you'd let me" His eyes held onto mine, as if requesting for permission, watching the rush of life that had pulled to my gaze. *** Things take a major spin for Anna Darcy when she's accepted into 'The Wilbur Bowers academy', a boarding school known for its upholding glory and defined stand. There, she meets, Zachary Cobain, the school's all time rebel, who had taken it his responsibility to crack the innocence Anna was veiled in. An encounter between the two leaves the Seventeen-year old breaking every virtue she was known to move by.

We had scraped off every content of our plates, every single one of the trays completely emptied.

I mean if one was to have one-over of this room, you'd assume the students were being starved, but it was only the greed of the people pushing in, even after having plates after plates, they turned an Oliver.

"Lord! I'm exhausted" I heard the raggedy voice of Audrey call out to me, figure pulling off the seat.

"All I seek is my bed" She added.

"What are you waiting for, Anna? Come on let's leave" She had turned to me, weary eyes taking my form after realizing I was still packing up the plates into the tray.

"I'll join you guys" I followed, waving them off.

"You didn't even touch your juice" Followed Hannah Grace, eyes fixed on the bottle of juice in my hands.

"Believe me, my bowel screams enough!" I called out.

"Let me have it then" She pushed forward to retrieve the juice from me, but the pull of Audrey, had stopped her in her tracks.

"Whatever were we thought in Ethics class, Hannah?"

"Greed never is the way" She followed in a slurry tone.

"Since when did you follow the teachings of our lectures?" Hannah let out in a chuckle.

"Since now, dear" Their voices fell faint in my ears, as they made leave out the room, while I was left stacking up my plates into the tray.

I just could hear mother's voice bellowing at me, to pack up after my meal. Oh how much I've missed her. How much I've missed home, and it was barely twenty four hours gone.

How was I to survive if I was already feeling lost, in so little time?

Time.

When would time go by so fast? But, how could I ask for that, when I barely had done anything in this school?

One could only imagine the things going on back at home.

Laurie.

Oh, the distance made my heart ache.

If only we were allowed our phones, then I'd ring her every now and then, requesting for the latest happenings in our town's latest school.

That school which never did me good. Pfft!

I could picture the look of horror that was to befall the faces of those people I call my classmates when Laurie goes telling them that I had been accepted into Bowers!

Oh, if only I could capture that moment.

They sure wouldn't give the topic a rest. Especially Sally Carpenter. That girl who's always had it out for me.

If you ask what sparked her hatred for me, believe me, I'll remain as lost as you are. But surely everyone's to find one who doesn't fancy them wherever they turn to.

That definitely was inevitable.

Nonetheless, I missed them all.

I miss Stanford, and the feel of being home.

I miss the quiet environs, with the quarrels coming from the neighbors. I miss Daisy's dog—

"What the fuck?!"

A voice out of nowhere had snatched me out of my thoughts, my gaze registering the sight away.

Before me, was the figure of a boy, eyes shot fiery onto my form, while trickling down his pants, was the orange juice that had spilled out my hands, drenching his clothing.

"Are you blind or what?!" That bellow poured into my ears.

Definitely not blind, but I swear, I didn't notice you come my way.

I mean, it might be your fault. But you dare not utter that word, Anna. Your first day here, and you already seem to be getting into trouble.

Wouldn't wanna make it your last, would you?

"Relax, dude" A voice from nowhere broke out.  Voice so low, my eyes were found taking the profile which came into view.

That profile.

He strutted over here so calmly, hands in pockets, and only at the lock of his eyes in mine, did I come to recognize that profile.

That hazel gaze sought my soul, scrutiny shifting through my entire form.

"My pants are being soaked in orange juice, and you tell me to chill?" The voice of his friend rang out, for a moment snatching the focus of everyone present in the room.

"At least you're getting soaked. That's the first time in three weeks"

I caught the scowl which grew on the lips of my victim, while his glare remained fixed on the profile of his friend, who still seemed calm.

"Seriously, do we need to have waiting guards standing and guiding people through?"

"That's enough, Axel" I heard that voice call, with his eyes soon directed off of me.

"Come on, let's go get you cleaned up" He followed, soon leading the boy away from me, but just a step forward, and those eyes caught mine, gaze soft.

"It's you again" A haze of levity crossed his gaze, scrutiny fixed on me.

"Seem to get in a lot of trouble. Don't you?"

Silence.

My eyes only found rest in the hazel ones before me, so warm they were, I was found staring on, as if searching for something in there.

And in such low voice, that I could grasp his utterance, he called;

"Best be careful now, Tinkerbell"

Those were the words I heard right before he left my sight.
