A SECOND TIME

Later that evening.....

My phone rings for the fifth time as I get to the door to my hostel room and I sigh deeply. I take it out and check to see it is Christian calling. I have tried everything within my power to avoid his calls but I can't bring myself to continue anymore. I glance at his name on my screen and bite my lip.

Exasperatedly, I pick up the call and waited. "Hello."

"Hey. Rose. Hello. What's the matter? I've been calling for ages, you haven't been picking up."

I sigh . " I'm sorry. I just saw the call now I...uhhh....I wasn't with my phone."

He sighs softly. " It's alright. I'm sorry I ended the call on you the other time. I had a lot to deal with."

I nod slightly. " Sure. I'm not bothered."

THAT'S A BIG LIE!!!

He chuckles. " Okay. If you say so. I'm glad you aren't."

I bite my lip with curiosity eating away at me. " Uhm.. what is the matter you had to deal with?"
