The air within the grand temple was thick with the sweet scent of incense and the hushed whispers of devoted worshipers. Small grey bowls of white liquid hovered around the ceiling, the black flames flickering across the liquid surface of the bowl's contents. The black flames cast white snake-like shadows on the intricate green murals adorning the polished black walls, creating an eerie mixture of white and green snakes writhing against the walls.
Though an alluring trick of the eyes and light, this contraption which never failed to grasp the worshipers' attention and awe was woefully ignored by the young prince that traipsed through the thin corridor.
