Dead Man; Gone Rogue

It has been about a five hundred years since multiple dimensional cracks had started to appear around the world. As void started to shatter uncontrollably, from there countless otherworldly monsters came pouring out and had started to invade the world of Genesis. However, people started to adapt and mutate, and with it came the integration of their systems. Despite countless wars and bloodshed, the cracks did not disappear; they broke out randomly, with each wave growing stronger. Now, humanity faced the looming threat of death and destruction, were presented with a single choice by a mysterious organization that suddenly grew named Messiah. They took it, not knowing what the consequences of their actions would entail for their future. "To be born is to have a soul; at least, that's what everyone in this world thinks. However, I was never born; I was created. Even the system in this world believes so. Even so this all feels just like a fleeting dream. " "As I continued the massacre, taking their lives away from them, unknowingly, that they were also taking my life away from me. But I didn't want to let go my grasp of it, so I held it firmly."

Meeting New People

In a grey room that is surrounded with things that John Doe momentarily owned. He was scrolling through his Users Interface to find any jobs that he could do.

It emanated vapidity, as even though John Doe was granted the choice to turn on and change the color of the lights all over his room. He didn't know how bright and what color he wants the room to be. He didn't want to change anything.

So, the only source of illumination was from the blue screen that was invented by the humans, similar to the status windows that only the combatant itself could see. One can say that it was truly the modern touch screen of this era.

Except for the fact that it was more advanced, much more efficient, and definitely much more faster.

John Doe first searched through the most widely known internet browser-

[I-EDGE.NET]

The group that first popped up when John Doe was searching, is a renowned group at the outskirts of east city, as the Users Interface automatically turned on targeted search, and then filtered out the unnecessary information depending on the location of the user.

The group was looking to hire a new member of their team. They were wearing black suits with a paw print of their pet dog marked on their right chest, and on their head are different breeds of dog mascot heads. Apparently it was meant to signify loyalty, friendship, and trust between the members.

It was rumored that they found out, that one of their member was secretly a cat lover, so they kicked the anonymous member out. Hence why they are looking for a replacement.

He then tried another internet browser, and the searches couldn't have been much more different.

One group caught John Doe's attention, because this group were all middle-aged women wearing such thick and voluptuous armors. Additionally, they also held an interesting choice of firm and girthy weapons, that even from a picture alone you can see how hard it was.

...

John Doe just had to make sure, he doesn't get exploited by them. So he analyzed both of their recruitment posters.

The Shining Guild looks and sounds nice on paper, because of how professional they worded their official site, even too clean to be exact with their information. That it seems to be that they are trying hard to make things sound flowery, and also the part about not getting a fixed payment bothered John Doe the most.

On the other hand the Berserker Guild seems to be much more honest and straightforward with their approach, although not as professional and smart with their wording, they still seem to be a decent group.

Even though what John Doe was thinking might be wrong, and he might just be making assumptions. Nevertheless he still trusted and followed his own judgement.

...

That night John Doe applied to the Berserker Guild, and an AI interview was conducted online.

He was also notified by them that they will be raiding a dimensional crack tomorrow, so he needs to come early, as the Crystal Stat test will also be conducted on the same day.

***

John Doe decided that he will arrive early to show his sincerity, in order for him to make a good impression to his new teammates. Not only that but also the biggest reason why is so that he could make a strategic move, and that is by surveying the entire area that they will be meeting on, just in case something was amiss.

So he arrived about three hours earlier than the designated time...

On the distance, he could see the silhouette of a fairly tall, lean man, leading the other two silhouette behind him. They appeared to be the figure of a bulky man, and a slender woman, which seemed to be his subordinates.

"Hi! My name is Alfred. Are you one of the new recruits?" As Alfred extended his hands towards John Doe.

John Doe then"Yes I am, the name's Edward—Edward Collins"

The woman after giving him a knuckle blow to the head, started to give Brian a scolding, "What are you doing?! Why are you bullying the Kid?!"

"Anyways here is the Crystalline ball. Let's hurry up and be done with the test" As the woman gave him a wink and handed the crystal ball filled with different types of tessellations.

Who could've have known that John Doe was right on the money. The man in front, which greeted him was actually their leader, and the two behind him was the subordinates.

John Doe then held the Crystalline Ball on his right hand, and raised it above the chest level to signal them that he was ready.

Clare gave John Doe instructions, "Make sure to pour out as much mana as you could"

To which John doe replied, "Okay"

Zing! Zing...

The crystalline ball ringed twice with a sharp but melodic tone. The first ring was louder than the second one, and at the same time it could be said that the same happened to the two-pentagon pattern on the left side of the tessellation that lit up, one glow was brighter than the other.

"I see. That's good your stats are definitely around a hundred." As Alfred frolicked with his goatee and nodded his head after the test was over.

"Then we'll just have to wait for the other one HAHAHA—Hopefully he has the same attitude as this newbie HAHAHAHA!" Brian was not careful with his words, not thinking that maybe he might have just jinxed it...

And thus began the waiting. So, they waited, and waited, with each minute passing by, their patience growing thinner. Then after about four hours of waiting, the other new recruit arrived, almost about an hour late.

The newbie held a staff, with a face very similar to Elves, and with the long blonde hair to match it. But he was not an elf, he was a human who just takes really good care of both his hair and face.

With all three of the Berserker Guild members annoyed, and furious

Brian then clicked his tongue and spoke in condescending tone to show his annoyance, "Tsk! Tsk! You finally arrived! You Brat hah!!"

It was then followed by Clare asking in a loud and sarcastic voice, "Do you know how long we've been waiting for you?!"

"What?! How dare you guys question me?! I'm the one and only son of the Kohlberg Familia! If it wasn't for that damn registration requirements, I wouldn't even be here with all of you." The Elf looking man argued in an irked voice.

"Ahh! This kid's seriously pissing me off!" As Clare started venting her anger on the trees and the land beneath her.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

"Hey ki—

"Listen here ki—

Their leader Alfred with much more composure. Even though he was angry too, he tapped both of his members at their shoulder and prevented them from what they are about to do, just so they would not waste anymore time from this nonsense, and also to avoid further trouble.

"Here, Take this ball. I assume the son of a famous conglomerate already knows what to do with this thing." Alfred spoke in a monotonous tone.

The elf looking man then became the spitting image of a tsundere, posed with his arms closed and said, "Hmmph! You don't have to tell me!"

All the Berserker Guild Members collectively lost their minds, however they just didn't show it and act upon it, out of their respect for their leader.

But the anger of the Berserker Guild Members towards the late newbie was justified, not only because he doesn't know basic courtesy and manners, but also because they were only renting this dimensional crack for a certain period of time. So the more time they waste, the more money the lose.

Sike! You guys probably thought the main character was the late one.

I'm also adding a durability stat, cause I forgot to add it LOL
