Chapter 78 Lightfury

POV 3rd person

Location New York Docks

Inside an old-looking warehouse full of boxes and creates are two groups of armed men standing as two men in the middle of the group sit on some boxes with a create in between them talking. While that was going on outside the building multiple guards stood by their vehicle on the lookout, but then one after the other the guards outside began to wobble or lean heavily on anything near them but soon they fall to the ground asleep.

Then out of nowhere a small figure in white armor stands in the middle of the assortment of sleeping guards, they were small at least 5 feet with white hair and wing like a designed cap. the armor was beautifully ornate with silver and white engraved images of dragon wings and heads on the armor.

???: "Ok now what was step 2. . .oh, I remember making an entrance and beating up the bad guys!"

Nightfury: "Artenyx remember this is a stealth mission meaning taking out the bad guys without getting noticed and doing so quietly," The armored girl now name Artenyx slumped wanting but nodded her head and quickly made her way to the roof.

Artenyx: "But I could easily beat them all up I wouldn't get hurt I promise" she pleaded as she came to a skylight and watched the deal from above.

Nightfury: "I know you want to test your limits but this is to test your control over yourself" Artenyx looked over the groups inside one she dubbed 'businessmen' and the other 'Yorkers' because of one guy's t-shirt and doing a quick scan in total she found 20 thugs.

Quietly she opened the window turned invisible and got to work taking down one after the other with a burst of sleep powder a new ability nightfury had given her and she had quickly mastered while invisible releasing a burst of the powder in people's faces knocking them out cold.

Guy#1: "then I believe is business," the talking businessmen said as all side got their men together.

Guy#2: "Yeah hey didn't. . .why. . .?" and just like that everyone in the room was on the ground asleep Artenyx in the middle of them than in an instant Nightfury appeared next to her.

Nightfury: "Not bad for your first patrol now let's see what these guys were selling" tieing up all the sleeping beauties we opened the back of one of the Suv finding multiple boxes forcing one open he found Chitauri weapons and armor the next box was the same but with [observation] he found out that the weapons were mixed and matched with human tech.

Artenyx: "Whoa what are these," she went to grab a small purple crystal device but Nightfury stopped her.

"Don't touch anything go watch over our napping friends and make sure they stay asleep ok," Artenyx nodded and did just that while Nightfury using his inventory got out the earpiece he got from S.H.E.I.L.D

Fury: "So I see you finally got the earpiece working"

Nightfury: "Knew you would use it to track me so kept it where you couldn't, anyway I need you to send someone to my location"

Fury: "Sure while they're out there gonna drop by a McDonald's I ordered some chicken nuggets you want something?" he said sarcastic nightfury just chuckled dryly.

Nightfury: "Ok I stopped an arms deal and the arms that there selling is alien weapons figured S.H.E.I.L.D would rather The Trusted NYPD didn't get their hands on alien hardware.

Fury: "Wait right there" then the connection cut out.

(5 minutes later)

POV Nightfury

I watched as the quinjets landed and out came many S.H.E.I.L.D agents but the one I was focused on was the figure of Maria hill making her way towards me as her agents got to work getting cuffs on the dealers and sellers and grabbing the weapons.

Maria: "Nightfury," she said nothing more but her eyes dropped to the small figure standing next to me "And who would this be?" before I could speak Artenyx spoke for her self

Artenyx: "You can call me Lightfury miss," she said with conviction Maria smiled at her and raised an eyebrow looking at me.

Maria: "I knew you were taking notes from the bat but didn't think you would copy his whole playbook" I just shook my head.

"Can we just focus on what's important like alien weapons and tech in the hands of street-level thugs," Maria simpler noded her head.

Maria: "S.H.E.I.L.D has been tracking down and putting away any and all pieces of alien tech since the invasion and Superman's brawl with Zod and his people, but then as soon as the scavengers see their chance. . ." she went quiet after that watching her agents look over the scene.

Lightfury: "Can we go back on patrol no the secret agents are here now," she looked from me to Maria who chuckled at the girl's antics and looked towards me.

Maria: "We can take things from here Nightfury and before you go Nick would like a word with you and the fantastic Four tomorrow at noon," I nod patting Artenyx's head and teleported away.

(After some time)

"So how did you like being a superhero?" I looked to my side to Artenyx who was eating a pretzel that a stand gave to her after stopping a robber.

Lightfury: "Mhn. . .awesome. . .mhn" I shook my head as she took another bite out of the snack her mouthpiece, and helmet at we're off allowing her to eat and changed her hair back from silver white to its raven black. it was the beginning of morning as the sun just began to rise we sat on the top of my apartment building legs hanging off the edge.

"Since you like being a superhero so much you're going to need a symbol don't you think?" I pulled out a shield much like my own but with a few differences the first being the dragon on the front and its color being night black.

Artenyx nearly dropped her pretzel as I brought out the shield, she stared at the shield with wide eyes sparkling in the morning sun.

"And you'll need something to watch your back and pull out some extra surprises" I handed her [Inferno] the extendable short sword of hiccup from how to train your dragons and one of the first items I got from the system.

Artenyx did drop the pretzel this time and nearly toppled me and her over the side as she jumped into me with a tight hug, I put her items in my inventory as I felt and heard the muffled 'thank you that came from my chest.

[Iteams]

-Zippleback gas- Release a cloud of hideous zippleback gas that once ignited will cause an explosion.

-Smokescreen

Once she calmed down and I cleaned her face and my chest piece I brought her in and fixed her some food she sat at the table with her new sword and shield both retracted into their compact forms. I sat and watched the news talk about the new sidekick of Nightfury called Lightfury a smile on my face as the news went over what little information they had about this new young hero.

[She did well for her first night on patrol]

"Yeah much better than I expected," the whole night I was near buy watching over waiting for a reason to intervene but one never came.

[Do you think S.H.E.I.L.D will try to recruit her]

"oh I have no doubt that's why Maria was so smiley to her too bad Artenyx won't be patrolling solo for a while"

[But other groups will take interest in her]

"Then we give them something else to be interested in time for Zilla to go for a swim"

[What about the meeting with Fury and the Fantastic Four?]

"Oh ill be going to that too with the help of this guy"

And in a flash of light, a copy of me appeared and it stuck out its hand and I took it.

Max: "Well I best be off don't worry I won't do anything we wouldn't good luck with the Fantastic Four," and with that, he teleported away using the mini-map I could see he teleported in the middle of the Atlantic.

"Well that was interesting why was he in such a hurry?"

[You mean you want to talk to Nick Fury and Reed Richards and if you think Artenyx won't be coming with you I suggest you turn your left]

Looking to my left I found Artenyx in her armor looking up at me with puppy dog eyes shield on her arm and [Inferno] on her hip.

". . .fine but got take a nap you've been up all night" she quick nodded and went into the guest room "and don't sleep with your weapons in your bed!" I didn't hear the response back as the door closed.

(A/N: Just for some clarification the duplicate can use all of Nightfury's monsters and items the drawback is the original can't use said item or monster while the copy is using them)
