Chapter 74 Magnetic meeting

POV Max

(two weeks later)

Sitting in class barely listening to the teacher I watched as the clock ticked closer to the end of the school day as I managed my monsters, looking around the classroom I saw most people were doing the same as I was waiting for the bell.

*RIIIINNNG*

Before the teacher could get a word in em students were flying through the door one kid even jumped out the window yelling "freedom!", as he ran I just grabbed my thing and walked out to find an empty corner and teleport home when I happen to run into shadowcat.

Kitty: "Max just the person I was looking for" she had a bright smile and bubbly attitude that was contagious and attracted your attention so I gave a smile her a smile.

"And why would you be looking for me?" she handed me a paper which I took and read it was an invention for a party at Oscorp, I was about to decline the offer but my face must have typed her.

Kitty: "Come on Max I know you're the loner type but please come to this party everyone's going to be there and some of my friends from Bayville will be there." she gave me doe eyes but I had seen better from the kid's but it did sound like fun and I get to meet more X-Men so I shrugged my shoulders and nodded.

"Sure why couldn't hurt to hang out with you guys and meet new people," Kitty cheered and ran off to tell the other meaning everyone else I shook my head and left finding a quiet corner and teleporting to a roof on a building. I equipped [Nightfury armor] and [Nightfury] the monster going out on patrol, it didn't take long for me to find a mugging and dropping the guy as I came from above.

After stopping a few muggings and a purse snatchers even got to see Spiderman stop a car chase, after a while, I was about to teleport to Nighthawk island when I heard a yelp and the sound of a trash can falling over.

After a few jumps in one of many New York alleys we're four guys surrounding a girl quickly I climbed down the wall, and as the guy in front was about to reach out for her I dropped down on top of him knocking the man out.

"Leave now or leave in an ambulance" I picked up the unconscious man and tossed him into a pile of trash, the other three ran screaming I turned towards the girl. "Are you alright?" the girl looked to be around my age, she wore a leather jacket and hoodie with ripped blue jeans. But one thing I noticed a few things one how dirty she was the other is it looked like she was staying there.

Girl: "Thanks for the help Nightfury right?" I gave her a nod 'let's see who you are,' I use [observation] and my eyes widen.

Lorna: "So I guess-" *Grr* for a moment I look around for the source of the growl when I notice Lorna even under her hoodie is blushing as another growl from her stomach is heard.

"So want something to eat?"

(Minutes later)

"So you finally going to talk" Lorna and I was on top of a roof. overlooking a highway and the busy streets of New York as she was finishing off her McDonald's, she now had her hoodie down and let her green hair flow free in the wind her emerald eyes that were dull were now full of life.

Lorna: "Nothing much to talk about after my parents died in a plane crash was sent to an orphanage, but no one wants to adopt a freak and no one wants a freak around so I left." she said it casually as if it was no big deal, but I knew she was only telling half the story but I won't push for more.

"So you don't have a place to go?" I got a nod as she ate her fries "Well I just so happen to know a place," her head wiped around to look at me "Have you heard of Charles Xavier."

POV 3rd person

Location: Xavier's mansion

Behind a gated wall many children could be seen on the front lawn playing, chatting, and relaxing, watching over them were two people Charles Xavier and Ororo Munroe watching in over it all smiles on their faces.

*Whoosh* *Whoosh*

Then the sound of large wings could be heard everyone stopped and looked up but nothing could be seen, but before an announcement could be made the source of the sound made itself known, out of the clouds came what could only be a dragon, out of western myth it's scales were a majority of blue but with golden underbelly and pointed horns, the beast flew down from the sky and landed softly in the ground it was at least the size of 3½ school buses.

As everyone stared at the impossible event the dragon shifted and brings its body closer to the earth allowing an unseen girl until now to jump off its back. As this was going on Ororo and Charles make their way forward while some students come out and watch keeping their distance, but others try and get a better look to see what is going on.

Lorna: "That was incredible" adrenaline still run through her smile on her face as the large dragon suddenly became the familiar figure of Nightfury.

Nightfury: "I told you id make this trip worth your while and flying on the back of a Dragon seems worth it." seeing the approaching teachers he nodes towards the two gettings Lorna's attention.

Xavier: "It's good to see you again Nightfury I hope you remember Ororo" the two nod to one another, "to what do we owe the pleasure of your visit, and might it have something to do with this young lady?" Lorna noticing the eyes of the two on her gets closer to Nightfury.

"Her name is Lorna she's a mutant with nowhere to go," he said pushing her forward much to her dismay "she needs a place to stay and it just so happen I knew a place." Xavier smiled and nodded before looking around Nightfury did the same and saw many eyes on the group from the surrounding students.

Ororo: "I believe we should take this conversation to a more private location," as Xavier nodded his agreement they all suddenly found they were inside the main office, everyone looked confused until Nightfury chuckled and explained.

Nightfury: "Just a little trick I learned I call it [Mass Teleport] now let's talk" the talk was mostly the two X-Men asking questions about Lorna's circumstances it took about an hour until Lorna was accepted and guided by Ororo to her new room leaving Nightfury and Xavier to talk in private.

Xavier: "Anything else we should know about now that were alone or perhaps something you wish to discuss?" Nightfury shook his head.

Nightfury: "Nope just needed to drop off a stray I found," Xavier nodded his head and put out his hand.

Xavier: "And if you happen to find any more please don't hesitate to bring them here, but do hold off on the dramatic entrance," Nightfury shook his hand.

Nightfury: "No promises," he said before teleporting away back to New York and back on patrol but once the sun set he got ready for a party.

(Sometime later)

As the sunset, the car arrived and taxis dropped off their riders at the Oscorp building one of the many vehicles is a strange-looking motorcycle that catches some eyes, and when it's parked the driver is recognized as the future CEO of Damage control Max Draco.
