No Longer Bored

There were plenty of cars to choose from in the massive garage. The young man had switched out of his fancy attire for a more comfortable wear. A yawn escaped Sora's lips as he chose a sports car. It was lowkey, at least more than the others.

After driving down the runway, he made his way into the city. The sun was out at full tilt. Crime was asleep for the time being. That couldn't be said during the night.

It didn't take long for him to reach his destination. He pulled into the lot while checking out the large buildings. Quite impressive. One normally wouldn't expect a crime city to have adequate facilities.

A woman with brown hair and green eyes stood at the entrance. Most likely a worker. She seemed to be passing something out to anyone that entered. Once he made it to the front, she stopped him.

"Welcome, we're giving out free coupons today. Buy one get one free." She commented while handing out a slip.

Sora took the slip and read the paper. It didn't seem to have any restriction on the category of book. Not bad. As he was reading the slip, the worker found herself gazing at his features.

At first, her look was one of awe and curiosity. His golden eyes and white hair were extremely unique. It then changed into something else. Finally, it became one of shock and recognition.

'It's him! He's that guy from the harbor…he's tall. But he looks much younger up close!' She thought. The image of him executing Carmine popped into her mind.

"...Thanks." He muttered before entering the building.

As the distance between them increased, he smiled. Nothing could be hidden from him as long as one was under the light. Her rapid heartbeat was as clear as day.

'So this is where she works when not wearing lingerie…how ironic. That little thrill seeker.' He thought.

Sora may not have memories of who he was in his past life, but he definitely knew about the people in this universe. This knowledge would always be helpful to him. It wasn't like he would involve himself in every little thing, however. Hell no.

Putting it in the back of his mind, he entered the fiction category. Finding something for Alice would come first. Only then would he curb his boredom.

'The Princess and the Frog. The Princess and the Saint. The Princess and the…'

Multiple titles were glossed over. The fantasy section was full of these stories. As he continued his search, a familiar gaze landed on him. The girl was spying on him.

Sora shook his head before carrying on. He didn't know which book to choose, so he took five of them. He then walked over to the same worker who was peeking at the end of the aisle. Her heartbeat increased the closer he got to her.

"...Excuse me." He called out sleepily. The girl jumped up, not expecting him to speak to her.

"AH! Um-Hi-um…Yes?" She stuttered. A blush covered her face due to embarrassment. Sora couldn't help but chuckle, which made her feel a bit worse.

"I'd like to buy these." He gestured to the books he carried.

"O-of course! R-right this way." She answered.

The woman spun her body as if on a swivel. She then led him toward the register. Almost the entire way, she could feel his gaze boring onto her from behind. Was he suspicious of her? Did he see through her?

'He could kill me with a flick of his finger…' She thought.

That's what went through her head, but her expression was totally different. An extremely perverted look could be seen in her eyes. It was as if the power gap turned her on. A thrill seeker indeed.

In reality, Sora wasn't even paying much attention to her. Of course, he'd check out her assets a bit. He was in the middle of his youth after all.

"Long day at work?" He broke the silence.

"Ah-pardon?"

"Has it been a long day at work?" He repeated.

"Oh! Pretty much. All of this standing is killing my back!" She complained.

"I wouldn't wish back pain on my worst enemy." Sora joked.

The girl couldn't help but stifle a giggle. It didn't seem that funny to him, but everything was funny if you were good looking. Such a phenomenon was just the way of the world.

"Really? I would definitely curse my enemies with such torture." She responded.

"How vicious."

"Yup! I'm dangerous."

"Like a beast?"

"Rawr!" She mewled.

"Heh. Was that a warcry?" He mocked.

"I'm just in tune with my inner animal."

"I see…is it a hyena?"

"W-What? You jerk! It's a tiger!"

"A tiger…I see."

'We both know that it's a rabbit.' Sora thought.

The two kept the conversation going until they made it to the register. This girl, now known as Jaina, had gotten much more comfortable with him. Her speech was smooth after that. The books were soon purchased instead of rented.

"Well, that's it. Is there anything else I can do for you, Sora?" Jaina asked.

"...I'd actually like to get a book for myself as well."

"Oh? Great! Is there something you have in mind?"

"Not really, maybe a dark fantasy?"

"Hmmm. Let's go see what we have." She suggested, gesturing for him to follow.

It didn't take long for her to reach her destination. Jaina quickly grabbed a nearby ladder and searched through the top shelves. An exquisite view of her spring scenery was visible from below.

"What are you thinking about?" He called out.

"Is it big-I mean, medieval might work for you." She said.

Sora decided to pretend he didn't hear that slip up. And yes, it IS big. Alice could barely handle it. Not that he would say it.

"...It's big." He said it! Jaina's face immediately went scarlet.

Eventually, she handed him a book. Its title was 'Soul of Searing Steel.' The name alone had him interested. He'd check it out soon.

Time flies when you're having fun. Before Sora knew it, the library was closing. Jaina asked if he would wait for her to close up, so he did. Carrying his bag of books, he watched as she locked the front entrance.

Jaina fiddled with her hair and clothes as she approached. It seemed like she wanted to say something, but didn't know how to go about it. Sora decided to just ask.

"What's up? It looks like something is on your mind."

"Um-well-I was wondering…if possible…would you like to maybe h-hang out sometime?" She asked.

The thump of her heartbeat was so loud, Sora thought he'd go deaf. But hanging out with a villain? Why not? He wouldn't only cater to one side. Morality is a joke with his power.

"If you promise that it will cure my boredom, then sure." He answered. Jaina nodded furiously.

"You won't be bored. I promise!" She declared.

The two casually exchanged phone numbers. It was time to go. Sora had already been away for too long.

"I gotta go. See you later then."

"Bye, Sora. Come visit me at work again!" She called out.

As soon as the sleepy man rounded the corner, he flashed above the library. His gaze focused on Jaina, to see what she would do after he left. He wasn't disappointed.

"Hehehe….HeheheHEHEHEHE!" Her giggles turned a bit evil.

It seemed like she was dropping the act. Jaina immediately dashed away, to what he assumed would be her home. She had gotten a good thrill today. That meant she'd be stepping out. Sora definitely wanted to see what she'd do.

Sora took a step in the air, and appeared at the manor. He quickly flashed into his room and set the books down. The man yawned before activating his light sense.

Alice could be found in front of the main door. She sat in the darkness with both of her hands on her chin. Her legs swung back and forth. Her empty gaze was focused on the doors, knowing that it was where he'd enter from.

"Soooooora. Soooooora. Soooooora. Soooooora…Fufufu." She sang his name in a creepy way before giggling.

She was definitely in her own world. Others would be scared out of their minds, but Sora thought it was cute. The young man was built different. He quickly flashed beside her, kissed her on the cheek, and vanished.

"Hmmm? Sora?!" Alice looked around in excitement. She then ran around the entire manor searching for him. Unfortunately she found nothing.

"I could've sworn my dear Sora was near." She muttered.

One...two

I'm coming for you...

Three...four...

Guess who's at the door

Fufufu
