14. Chat

 Tom was chatting with the Cullen family while drinking his coffee. Esme was asking Tom some questions. Alice could not ask these questions because of her relationship with Tom.

"You look very young, how old are you? Are you married?"

Tom couldn't understand why this woman asked this.

"I'm 25 years old. No, I'm not, Mrs. Cullen.".

Carlisle continued asking "So you definitely have a girlfriend?" .

Alice was looking at Tom carefully and listening.

 "No, Mr. Cullen, I'm doing fine on my own."

"Aren't you living with your parents or did you move out to live alone?"

Tom paused and continued talking.

"I don't have family, I've never met them."

 Alice froze after hearing what Tom said. Alice was very upset by what Tom said. Alice had a family who always had her back, but Tom didn't even have a friend.

 Alice swore in her heart that from now on, no matter what, she would never leave Tom alone. The other people sitting at the table were also very upset about what Tom said.

 When Jasper tried to feel Tom's emotion, he realized that Tom was not upset about it. After Edward read Jasper's mind, he was surprised. A person would want to see their parents at least once. But Tom didn't value them when his parents didn't value him.

 Alice reached under the table and held hands with Tom. Alice was trying to show Tom that she was on his side. Tom wanted to pull his hand away, but Alice had too much strength.

 If Tom wanted to free his hand from Alice's grasp, he couldn't do so without casting a spell on Alice's hand. Tom tried to pull his hand away without using a spell, but Alice wouldn't let go.

 Tom gave up struggling and took Alice's hand. Tom thought Alice was crazy. She was holding a man's hand in front of her family. If his family had noticed this, he cast an illusion spell because he wasn't sure how things would go.

 After sitting with the Cullen family a little longer, Tom wanted to leave to go home. Alice let go of Tom's hand when she realized he was leaving. After saying goodbye to the Cullen family, Tom paid for the coffee and went home.

While doing wand maintenance at home, Tom suddenly noticed a problem with his wand. There was a small crack on the surface of the wand, which deeply concerned Tom. As he looked at his wand, he felt a sense of disappointment and frustration.

The damage to the wand was likely due to its inability to withstand Tom's magical power. Remembering that the trees he used to make the wand were young, Tom realized that these young trees might not have been able to fully support his power.

With a distinct feeling of disappointment, Tom placed his wand on the table and drifted into thought. The idea of making a new wand came to mind immediately. Perhaps by crafting a new wand using a material that could better withstand his power, he could solve this problem.

However, before that, he needed to repair his current wand. He had invested so much in it and didn't want to give it up. Maybe with a suitable repair, he could restore it to its former strength.

Few days later

 Tom was happy to finish his work at school early today. He went home after doing some shopping. When Tom got home, he decided to take a walk in the forest. After Tom puts on something warm. He went out and started walking.

Nothing interesting happened to him on the walk.

When Tom went home, he noticed some people in front of the door. They were knocking on the door and waiting for it to open.

 When Tom examined these people carefully, he noticed that these men were wearing suits and ties. They had some bags in their hands. Tom went to them because he was not afraid of them. One of the old men among them saw Tom and asked,

"Are you Mr Miller?"
