Chapter 73 - Versatility - Breaking A Giant

The sentinel skeletons surrounded the towering Giant, their bones clanking together as they closed in on their massive target. With a unified battle cry, they lunged at the Giant, kicking and punching with all their might. Their skeletal fists connected with the Giant's stone-like skin, sending small cracks spreading across its surface.

"Oh, this time it must hurt."

Skalain laughed.

The Giant swung its massive arms, attempting to crush the skeletons under its powerful fists. But the agile undead creatures dodged and weaved, narrowly avoiding the crushing blows. They countered with swift kicks to the Giant's legs, causing it to stagger momentarily.

"The speed difference between Giants and the fact that Skeletons are controlled by me makes too much of a difference."

The Giant let out a deep roar of anger, shaking the ground beneath them. Undeterred, the sentinel skeletons pressed on, using their teamwork to gain the upper hand. One skeleton distracted the Giant with a series of quick jabs to its chest, while another delivered a powerful blow to its knee, causing it to buckle under the force.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaah"

The giant shouted again, but this time his voice carried even more pain and agony.

As the Giant fell to one knee, this time more tired, the sentinel skeletons seized the opportunity to launch a coordinated attack. They swarmed around the Giant, delivering a barrage of punches and kicks from all sides.

At the same time, Level 2 undead attacked from all sides.

Despite their relentless assault, the Giant refused to be defeated easily. It retaliated with a sweeping kick, knocking several skeletons back and sending them flying through the air. But as they crashed to the ground, the sentinel skeletons swiftly rose to their feet, undeterred and unyielding.

"Despite taking damage, sentinel skeletons or the undead in general have no understanding or feeling of pain. Which makes them relentless enemies. Unless they are destroyed completely, they will try to obey my orders."

The sentinel skeletons closed in on the Giant once more, using their combined strength to push it back. They struck with precision and skill, targeting weak spots on the Giant's body and chipping away at its defenses.

The battle raged on, the clash of bones and stones reverberating through the air. Each punch, kick, and strike was met with an equal display of resilience from the Giant. But the sentinel skeletons were unrelenting, their unyielding loyalty to Skalain driving them forward.

As the battle reached its climax, the sentinel skeletons gathered their strength for one final, powerful attack. With a mighty roar, they converged on the Giant, striking with all their might. The sound of shattering bones filled the air as the Giant finally crumbled under the force of their assault.

"It took much longer than I thought."

Skalain took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a second.

He turned to look at the ordinary skeletons and shook his head.

"Yeah, these are not going to be useful in fights. They may look scary to ordinary people, but against proper enemies and mages as well as strong magical creatures,"

"I need to focus on creating stronger armies and helpers."

"Also, it is clear to me that from now on, I will quickly need more versatility in my summons as well as myself."

"As always, there are many things to do."

Skalain then looked at the body of the Giant and smiled.

"Skeletons, take his corpse to the Dark Archive; use the main gate to enter, as it would not find it in the small entrance."

"Quick, we need to be fast to not encounter anymore creatures."

With the order from Skalain, skeletons looked at the giant and then started working. Using all of their power to carry it back to Dark Archive.
