Level 2 (Part 2)

As soon as Alex obtained the skill, flashes of knowledges flooded into his mind. The power to condense various attributes into sword technique. It included fire, ice, light, lightning, wind, darkness and so on.

Alex might only have the fire as he could only cast flame spells at the moment, but it was more than enough for him to use the power of fire everytime he slashed with his sword.

With Stellar Pilgrim, Alex could now perfectly utilize the flames if he combined it with swordsmanship.

"With this being added in my arsenal, I could definitely do better than before."

Alex imagined that even if he fought against the Juggernaut again, his chance of winning would be higher than before.

Finishing all the matters of the guild, Alex teleported straight to his room after saying farewell and thanking his beautiful advisor. Thanks to his Abnormal Status Immunity even he was now physically and mentally exhausted, Alex didn't feel he would collapse but the desire to sleep and rest was still there.

His body might be feeling fine, but his mind wanted him to rest. Following his desire for the moment, Alex comfortably slept with a dream of fighting Ottar and Juggernaut.

After having a good rest after that battle, Alex made his way to the kitchen after finishing his bath. Seating on the table, Kronos greeted him.

"Oh, it's Alex! Long time no see. It looks like you have improved a lot in this period of time."

Kronos greeted Alex who was now wearing his casual clothes. It had also been a few days since Kronos had seen him but he knew that Alex had spend several days in his dungeon dive.

"Little Alex, how's your little expedition?"

It's impossible to hide your actions from the god of your Familia since each time they update your status, they go over all your experiences since the last update.

Simply smiling, Kronos and Alex swiftly finished their meal and immediately updated his status.

Kronos was caught off guard to what he had seen. It wasn't only the reality shattering numbers but also the things he had pulled off in the dungeon. Not even a level 2 could be that powerful and with his new status, even a level 3 would he hard pressed and that's not considering his outrageous magic.

Kronos was intrigued seeing the changes in his status. However, what he didn't expect was that Alex still had skills he couldn't even detect through reading the status board. Had he known, he may have lost his cool due to the sheer ridiculous of the situation.

Each of the skills of Alex had incredible effects that would incite jealousy from other gods.

It is normally impossible to go past S rank, but Kronos knew that Alex have done this through his skill that had somehow evolved into Supreme Overlord.

"What kind of challenges did you face to have these stats Alex?"

Even though he had an idea seeing it earlier, Kronos wanted to hear the tale as it would only make it sound like an epic tale for him. Hearing his curious and intrigued tone, Alex then recalled what he had experienced in his dungeon dive.

"Oho! So you've fought against a strengthened war shadow, Ottar and a Juggernaut."

Kronos held his chin as he was amused about Alex's experience. Alex wasn't bothered that Kronos didn't feel angry or worried that he was being reckless as he knew that Kronos liked someone who was overcoming tough challenges.

Just like any other gods, the reason why Kronos had descended was to seek some entertainment.

"Do skills normally evolved?"

Kronos wondered about the Supreme Overlord skill of Alex. He was not sure if he had heard something similar before or it just didn't reached his ears.

Kronos might have stayed in Orario for years but it wasn't very long compared to the other gods. Also he wasn't in charge of any other adventurer aside from Alex so sounded natural for him to not know.

"Well whatever."

Thinking for a while, Kronos decided to brush it off. As both Alex and Kronos was satisfied with the change, the two of them agreed to make Alex a level 2.

"Hey Alex, you had eight development abilities. Mystery, Hunter, Rogue, Mage, Swordsman, Master of Swiftness, Luck and Tamer. You can choose four of these. What is your choice?"

He pondered for some time and decided his choice. As his fighting style revolved around his Flying Raijin that instantly appeared and to swiftly deal with his target, Alex carefully picked the development abilities that would be more useful in close combat.

"Luck, Swordsman, Master of Swiftness and Rogue."

Hearing Alex, Kronos amusingly grinned.

"Good choices young man."

Kronos always respected his choices. He might not be showing any of his soft side to his child but he adores and cares for him. Respecting his opinion and completed the operation, Kronos added the new development abilities in his status.

As soon as Kronos updated his status, leveling him up, a great change took place.

'What? This isn't how its supposed to work!'

Kronos was inwardly shocked seeing the sudden change in Alex. His body became more solid. His muscles became more refined and dense but also a lean body. Unlike his previous 12 year old look, he now looked around the age of 15-16.

Also he was radiating a suppressive aura. It wasn't the divine aura that Kronos was familiar but it was similar to the dragons.

'Could it be out of pure coincidence, he was born with a soul compatible with a dragon's essence or something like that?'

Name: Alex Uchiha

Race: High Human

Level: 2

Abilities:

Strength: I- 0

Endurance: I- 0

Dexterity: I- 0

Agility: I- 0

Magic: I- 0

Luck: I

Swordsman: I

Master of Swiftness: I

Rogue: I

Skills: [Supreme Overlord], [Sharingan]

Magic: [Flying Thunder God], [Fire Style Magic]

Basic abilities reset to I-0 at every level up, although those gained before each level up will remain as an invisible base.

Upon leveling up a person receives a massive boost in all of their basic abilities. The increase effectively renders one superior to all those from lower levels in virtually every aspect. However, exceptions do exist as mages seemingly tend to fall behind in terms of physical prowess due to extremely low stats.

Additionally, while strengthening the person, the suddenly gained power causes a desynchronization between one's mind and body which diminishes their combat ability. Nonetheless, said drawback can be overcome by fighting a strong opponent or a great ammount of enemies in order to grow fully accustomed to one's heightened prowess.

Without delay, Alex immediately looked at the system to see the description of his development abilities. Development Abilities are special abilities that have a chance of appearing every level up starting from Level 2.

Development abilities are different from basic abilities in the sense that they are characteristics specializing in a certain area. Starting from Level 2, there is a chance of gaining one every rank up. There is also the chance of one not appearing at rank up, or multiple appearing to choose from.

Like basic abilities, development abilities are also categorized from I to S; however, they are much harder to train and do not reset to I at each new rank up. Additionally, development abilities can improve during a normal status update.

[Luck]

[* The likelihood of lucky phenomenon will increase. The chances of a beneficial effect will greatly increase.]

The lucky phenomenon mentioned in the description means in other words the probability of positive effects occurring for him, such as Critical Hit occurrence, chance to avoid attacks, probability to obtain good items and many other more.

The biggest reason why Alex chose Luck was to increase his survival rate. Luck is one of the essentials needed to survive in the dungeon. He might not really afraid of death but after fighting against the Juggernaut, he awakened a desire to venture the unknown mystery of the dungeon and face many challenging opponents like the Juggernaut.

[Swordsman]

[* Greatly improves your control with the sword and increases all damage dealt with swords. Your enemies will feel more pain from your sword attacks as your damage increases. Your sword techniques will also have more impact.]

As he had just obtained the skill Stellar Pilgrim, Alex found that having this development ability will have a great synergy with the skill.

[Master of Swiftness]

[* Specialized in fast motion. It also requires high reaction speed and control to be effective.]

The reason Alex picked this development ability was mainly because of his Flying Raijin where everything he did in fast speed and swiftness.

[Rogue]

[* The dagger walking in the shadows will cause a death without any screams.]

As he used daggers as his weapon aside from his Splitting Edge, Alex intended to master the correct and proper use of the daggers to consecutively deal lethal and critical blows.

"I wanted to talk about your level up but I had a cafe to tend to."

Kronos' voice snapped Alex from his daze. Hearing him, Alex nodded and respectfully thanked Kronos for the time he had spared towards him.

"Also, don't forget to inform the guild that you had become a level 2."

"I understand Kronos."

Alex replied with a smile not knowing Kronos' intentions behind his words. Kronos carefully concealed his thoughts of boasting Alex's rapid level up in the upcoming Denatus as he looked forward in seeing the gods' envy towards him.
