9 Hunting

After taking care of the horde of monsters that the dungeon had sent to him, Alex stepped into the third floor for the first time. Just like the first and second floor, the walls are light blue colored in the third floor as well.

Entering the new floor, Alex didn't let his guard down even the slightest. It didn't took long enough for the monsters to began appearing. Scrutinizing the monsters, Alex could see three kinds of monsters that he had already encountered.

However the difference was, if he had taken care of atleast 300 monsters in the second floor, the monsters in front of him has double that number or maybe even more.

"Please give me a break. Can you please give a proper greetings at once."

Alex grumbled towards the dungeon as he atleast wanted to experience having to fight monsters that adventurers normally encountered not like what he always experienced of fighting hundreds of them.

Grabbing two newly purchased daggers in his hands, Alex rushed towards the nearest dungeon lizard and stabbed it in the eye. He then threw the other dagger to the goblin at the side.

In the blink of an eye, Alex disappeared in the monsters' vision instantly appearing where he threw the dagger. The dagger in his hand flashed, then spun through the air and stabbed into the back of the goblin's head.

Alex throws another batch of daggers from his backpack flashing around, killing one monsters after the another. Ignoring the bloody scene, Alex threw the dagger in his hands to the air, instantly appearing to where it is.

Appearing in mid air, Alex immediately made the hand signs, facing the horde of the monsters.

"Fire Style: Grand Fireball."

After spewing a giant orb of flames, Alex immediately drunk a mind potion then without delay, he turned into crimson flash again and brandished the dagger in his right hand.

Crimson flashes could be seen in the entire floor as Alex dealt with the monsters. In just a matter of 3 seconds, the monsters were exterminated as Alex casted another fire spell three times a row, making the numbers to dwindle fast.

Alex continued his way to the fourth floor as he was now accustomed in fighting goblins, kobolds, and dungeon lizards even if they numbers in thousands.

As he was moving to the fourth floor, Alex muttered while gazing at the daggers in his hands.

"It's surprisingly easier to slice and cut through the skins of monsters with this blade."

Compared to the weapons he previously used, fighting monsters had became even more easier while using these daggers, as aside from they were sharper, they were more comfortable to use.

Entering the fourth floor, the same scene happened again. Fireballs exploded into the walls of the dungeon while Alex used [Flying Thunder God] to swiftly deal with monsters that weren't much affected by the fireball. If someone would see this, they would really be surprised if they would know Alex's hunting rate.

In just a couple of seconds, he had already dealt with hundreds of monsters without receiving the slightest damage just by utilizing his inhuman speed by flashing or teleporting around.

Shrieked of agony and despair could be heard in the entire floor which made the other adventurers felt a chill as they somewhat heard the agony of the monsters in the distance.

Alex took a deep breath, his wrist twitched, throwing the daggers seemingly at random. Using [Flying Thunder God] again, Alex made the remaining monsters vanish into dust.

"With my pace, I could deal with all the monsters here."

Alex muttered to himself while collecting the loots and stuffing it into his backpack. Suddenly he remembered when he fought against the silverback that beat him up.

"But I'm afraid, I would still be poorly beaten up in the other floors."

With a serious expression, Alex continued muttering to himself.

"However I'm not backing down."

Seeing that even the fourth floor would not really pose a challenge, Alex decided to go to the 5th floor and the 7th floor. As Alex entered the 5th floor, he remembered the information about the 5th and 7th floor.

The walls change to a light green color and the structure of the dungeon begins to change. Stronger monsters such as War Shadows and Killer Ants appear and the monster birth time is faster, which are why these floors are where a lot of newbie adventurers start to die. It's recommended for Level 1 adventurers to have status of at least G in their basic abilities to explore these floors.

While maintaining his vigilance, Alex continued his way cautiously moving in the 5th floor. He immediately encountered a frog that has one large eye attacking Alex by shooting out its long tongue.

Alex timely deflected the incoming toung with his dagger. Without hesitation, he threw the dagger he used to block to the frog shooter, making the dagger buried in its body.

Taking out the short sword and gripping it tight, Alex appeared behind the frog shooter and directly stabbed its leg using the short sword, making it kneeled over and died as Alex quickly slashed its head, vanishing into ash.

After dealing with that, Alex quickly leaped backwards, avoiding an attack from a frog shooter. Gazing at the front, Alex saw atleast 20 of frog shooters, preparing its long tongue to attack.

"Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire."

Alex quickly fired several flames towards the frog shooters. As the frog shooters were more agile than the monsters than the 1st and the 4th floor, some of the flames missed and didn't have much impact to the overall situation.

Skillfully throwing the daggers at every frog shooters' location, Alex turned into crimson flash, slashing and kicking the frog the shooters. After killing them, Alex changed the trajectory of the dagger targeting another. His short sword twirled and left many fatal cuts on a frog shooter.

His movement was incredibly complex and heavily relied on his speed. Using [Flying Thunder God], Alex positioned himself behind and the side of the frog shooter. His attacks were lightning fast.

Unable to endure Alex's barrage, the frog shooter vanished leaving a drop item and its magic stone. After dealing with the frog shooter, he saw a black shadow charging straights towards him.

Alex successfully parried and immediately deflected the attacks. However before he could move his body again, five tongues hit him. Even he was able to sense it coming, his body wasn't able to react due to his agility not high enough to be able to react in that short amount of time.

Ignoring the bruise and the bleeding cuts on his body, Alex chopped down with his short sword and immediately kicked out with his foot sending the slashed frog shooter, smashing to a wall.

Swiftly picking up a couple of daggers in the ground by teleporting into it, Alex immediately throws the daggers to all frog shooters in his vision.

Flying Raijin Slash.

Alex mercilessly attacked without remorse the frog shooters turning them to black smoke only dropping the loots.

Breathing heavily, Alex muttered to himself while trying to catch and calm his heavy breathing.

"At the very least, I could last longer while continuously spamming magic without drinking a mind potion."

Mentioning that he had lasted longer before feeling any indication of mind zero, Alex immediately drunk a mind potion restoring the fatigue from simultaneously using [Flying Thunder God].

Alex continued his way massacring the frog shooters in the 5th floor. Feeling that he had adjusted enough, Alex decided to try on the 6th floor if he could endure the onslaught in there. With [Flying Thunder God], he was confident that he could get himself out of trouble.

The moment Alex stepped foot on the 6th floor, he saw several dark humanoid monsters that has long arms with three claws that are sharp like knives, attacking him immediately.

Alex disappeared from his position as he managed to throw a dagger and appearing on its location.

"War Shadows."

Alex mumbles looking at commonly known as the strongest monsters on the 6th Floor. Along with Killer Ant on the 7th floor, it is known as "newbie killer" for killing a lot of newbie adventurers.

As soon as the war shadows saw him, they immediately dashed straight towards him. In the blink of an eye, a distance of 5 meters was covered within a matter of second with the claws that are sharp like a knife with just a centimeter away from his neck, eyes and head.

'So fast!'

Alex exclaimed in his mind and his body turned to a flash as he repositioned himself with [Flying Thunder God] just before those claws pierced him.

Alex was surprised that the speed of the war shadows greatly outclass the monsters on 1st to 5th floors. Even with the agile frog shooter, the war shadows were even more faster by a great margin.

If not for the [Flying Thunder God], Alex would have been lying dead on the ground by now. Even feeling a sense of crisis, Alex made a smile, liking the feeling of his adrenaline rushing throughout his entire system.

"Fire Style: Grand Fireball."

Alex immediately sent a fireball towards the war shadows that was about to charge again the moment they saw him. As they were caught off guard, they were hit by the fireball as it exploded the moment the fireball made contact.

Channeling the strength in his legs, Alex swiftly dashed forward with the short sword in his hand, and immediately engaged the injured war shadows in close combat.

Even if they survived the fireball, the injuries they suffered greatly affected their speed which allows Alex to fight them head on. However as the war shadows were not called the strongest on the 6th floor for nothing. Their speed was still fast that Alex could only barely react in time leaving him some bruise in his body.

"Interesting! This feeling... I've never felt this before. In my longtime solitude, all I could feel was endless boredom."

Feeling a sense of crisis, Alex didn't fear that he was nearing death at this moment. As he had forgotten this sensation long ago, Alex welcomed it with open arms.

"Come! Do your best to entertain me!"

Alex exclaimed to the war shadows in his front with a grin on his face, not noticing that his bright crimson red eyes with vertical pupils, turned into with a black single comma-like pattern.
