Chapter 8: Remodel
Xeos slowly opened his eyes and noticed that his vision was a tiny bit blurry. He rubbed his eyes for a few seconds. Getting rid of the tiredness and noticed that it was still blurry. Not enough that he couldn't see just enough to be barely noticed. This is due to using the Mangekyou Sharingan. Blindness is sadly one of it's side effects. He guessed he just had to deal with it. He knew the risks when he wished to be an Uchiha. He has to figure out a way to get EMS somehow. He noticed that the in his status his Sharingan was leveled and right now it's level 4 so that must mean the 4 represents mangekyou Sharingan. Which means hypothetically, getting it to level 5 should be EMS. Though how to get it leveled up is the question. For now he's fine. He still has many uses before he is forced to keep the Sharingan open permanently to see and even then once that happens, he still has a few uses of MS Left till even that's gone. Besides he can still see even without his eyes so either way he'll be fine.
Xeos got up and made himself a cup of tea and sipped it quietly and enjoying the morning. He noticed Hestia wasn't here so she must of went out somewhere. He heard knocking on the church doors due to his enhanced hearing. He got up and answered the door and found construction people here. That's right we were gonna rebuild the church. Guess that's what Hestia decided to do today. He let them in and they took measurements and looked around calculating what needs to be done and how much it'll cost. In the end it's gonna cost them 1.2 million valis which is fine. He has more than enough due to the enhanced species. "Master, are we going to the dungeon today". Xeos was shocked for a second. He forgot that his sword is sentient for a second since she's mostly sleeping all the time. "Yes we are Sakurai but not right now" he heard a hmm confirmation and rubbed his blade gently while humming.
He decided to find a place to stay at for a few days while the construction people fixed their home and renovates it. After a few hours of looking, he remembered that the hostess of Fertility also has lodging and decided to pay for a weeks worth. After walking for a bit he found the hostess building and entered. He walked up to the counter and waited patiently for Mama Mia to be available. Couple minutes passed before she addressed him. "Hi, welcome to the hostess of fertility, how can I help you". Xeos explained the situation and paid the required amount and decided to get the special since he's hungry.
Ryuu was his server once again and after eating he left another tip for her though not as big as last time. She was confused on why this particular customer was giving her generous tips but before she could ask he was gone. She sighed before going back to work.
Xeos decided to head to the dungeon for a few hours to get use to his new level upped body. He was seen slaughtering monsters with ease. He was even testing his new magic out. He shot lightning out of his fingers like a pistol. He was having a lot of fun. Void magic is cool but it's too strong and erased everything. This is much more controlled and able to save more stones this way. He ended up leaving the dungeon after hitting the 12th floor after all he was just trying out his magic and new body out. After he left, he saw Afton was walking around with a girl and a grin made it's way onto his face. He decided to leave them alone though and ask later.
He continued to explore new areas and just having a relaxing time until he saw a few people surrounding a person and beating them. He looked closer and saw a little pallum girl getting beat. His anger surfaces quickly and killing intent leaked out. He recognized her as liliruca but that's not what made him mad it was the fact that they were part of the soma familia. He doesn't mind lili too much knowing her past and what not. He immediately looked around an saw a stand where there are selling masks. He grabbed one and put it on and left the money on the table. He also grabbed a cloak and put it on. He rushed towards their location and grabbed Sakurai and immediately sliced one of their heads off. The others were confused and lili was satisfied yet scared at seeing the mans death.
Xeos didn't hesitate to kill and slaughter the others effortlessly. He was covered in blood and was still angry but calmed down by breathing in and out. He looked at lili who was shivering and extended a hand to her. She flinches and closed her eyes and looked away thinking she was next. After a few minutes, she open her eyes and saw that the stranger was there and holding his hand out. She timidly grabbed it and was surprised she was being lifted up. He gave her a potion and she drank it gratefully. He turned around and left an before she could say thank you, he was gone and out of sight.
Xeos was in an alleyway calming down. His anger is still there just not overwhelming him. He was about to remove his cloak when he heard a noise from behind him and turned around. He saw Ryuu was there and they just stared at each other. He carefully removed his cloak and used void magic to destroy it. Ryuu was shocked that he used magic without chanting and then was shocked even further when he removed his mask and burned it also. It was the man she saw at the bar that left her generous tips and also one of the Deathly Duo she learned about him while trying to find information. Xeos decided to quietly leave and turned around. Just like with lili, he disappeared before she could say anything. Though she could of catch up to him quickly. She decided not to and wait for the next time they meet.
Xeos got home and saw Hestia had fallen asleep waiting for him. He kissed her head and went to take a shower. After showering for 30 minutes he got out and dried himself. He sneakily went to the bed and carefully entered without waking Hestia. She snuggled up to him immediately and he couldn't help but feel love and affection for her. He will do everything he can to protect her even if it meant costing his life. Like that another night has successfully passed.
