Chapter 7: Dungeons Anger
Xeos woke up with a headache for some reason. He noticed Hestia was sleeping on him and he kissed her forehead before getting up gently. He rubbed his forehead and decided to take a shower. After 15 minutes, he was feeling like new. He went outside and met up with Afton as usual. Today they were gonna level up for sure by using monster bait to lure monsters into a trap and make a kill zone where they can dispatch the monsters safely and carefully.
They headed to the 20th floor taking an hour or so to get there by running. "Ok Afton, this is the place, look for an area to place the dungeon bait but be careful." Afton nodded his head and found a circular room with only one lane to come in and out. So only one monster can come in at a time. On the ceiling are sharp rocks dripping water. Xeos noticed this and couldn't help but smile at his idea. The cleanup will be hard but this will be fun.
They threw the bait into the enclosed area and hid themselves and waited. Not to long monsters started entering the area and after waiting for an hour and noticing that no more monsters were coming. Xeos ran quickly into the enclosed area. He launched an unstable void ball into the ceiling causing it to explode and erase part of the ceiling causing the sharp rocks and another part of the ceiling to collapse. Falling onto the unsuspecting monsters. While this might not raise their stats much. It is a great way to make money.
After waiting 15 minutes to make sure it was safe enough. They both entered and saw a bunch of stones and a few twitching corpses indicating that most died and turned to ash. Luckily it looked about 100 monsters survived so they can at least upgrade their stats a little. After using void magic to clear the area and killing all the monsters with the minotaurs weapons. They collected all the stones equalling about 435 monsters have fallen. Xeos put them into his storage and they headed back out. Now there going to do this again except this time their gonna fight their way out. This was extremely risky but they both want to level up really badly to go further into the dungeon. They waited an hour then setup the plan again. Monsters spawned in and entered the enclosed area. They waited till no more came but this time they were gonna fight. They rushed in and the battle began once more. Monsters blood was being spilled left and right. Limbs and body parts from surviving monsters scattered across the ground. The two adventurers hacking and stabbing their way through the army of monsters. Each protecting their back and fighting like killing machines. Determination and and excitement appeared in their face. Killing enemies left to right. From another perspective, it was like a scene straight out of a movie. The way they killed and coordinated their attacks. The way they blocked the monsters and easily killing through them was a scene no one would forget.
A couple hours later and the room was filled with stones and zero monsters. Xeos and Afton were looking around vigilantly, making sure their were no monsters. They both took out potions and healed themselves when the area was safe. They collected the stones and put them into Xeos storage since it's useful. They waited an hour in their to take a break and relax since it was safe for now. Xeos still has 2 more dungeon baits that they could use and continue fighting. After discussing it with Afton they both agreed to do it again but before they could, the dungeon shocked and monsters suddenly started converging in their area. The dungeon was pissed off now and sent monsters to their direction. Both of them ready their weapons with a fire burning in their eyes. Enhanced monsters started entering their cave and they knew this was gonna be tough but manageable as long as they don't let to many enter and kill them one by one. The entrance still can only fit one monster at a time but then suddenly the entrance wall broke. As if the dungeon knew that fact and made it easier for monsters to enter. Now they knew they were in fact in danger though they will not fall like last time.
This time determination and courage as well as a burning desire to get stronger was seen in their eyes. This is exactly what they needed to level up. This another battle for the centuries begins again. Monsters surrounded the young Adventurers and attacked them viciously and without remorse. These monsters were stronger and more durable, so they took more than one got to deal with. Xeos ducked under his friends spear and launched a wave of void injuring many monsters at once. Then he swung his sword in sync with his friends spear and massacred alot of monsters.
An hour has passed and their looks like their was no end to these monsters. Other adventurers noticed this abnormality and reported the enhanced species to the guild. Some tried to fight them only to get killed by their arrogance and lack of teamwork and strategy. The rest of the adventurers retreated and left the area unable to help the two adventurers that were surrounded. They ran for their lives and went to the guild to warn them about this outbreak and strange occurrence.
A little more than 30 minutes have gone by before the guild was notified about the situation. They posted a urgent notice since an army of enhanced species is a dangerous and unheard of situation. The Loki familia were the first to respond to the situation and said they would handle this matter. The top executives of the Loki familia entered the dungeon and quickly made their way to quell this anomaly.
Another 30 minutes passed and Xeos and Afton were still fighting. Xeos used amaterasu and created a giant wall to prevent other people from getting hurt. They blocked the only way to leave with amaterasu since it lasts until the user wants to. On the other side of the wall the Loki familia came and noticed the black flames blocking their path. Before they could deal with it they heard Xeos yelling "Don't touch those flames. They are extremely hot and can't be put out. So if it gets on you it will burn you to death and still keep existing."
Finn the leader of the executives yelled back "we are here to help. How do we get by this wall. Xeos explained that it was a special ability of his that didn't go into details and that only he can put them out. They noticed that Xeos's eyes were bleeding when a hole in the wall of flames opened up. *Hurry up I can't keep it open for long while fighting at the same time. Finn knew that questions would be asked later and ordered the others to enter and assists with the execution of the enhanced species. Upon entering the area they were shocked to see so many stones of varying sizes scattered across the ground. There were thousands of them and they couldn't help but conclude that they have been fighting for a while. They ignored the situation for now and comenced slaughtering the rest of the monsters. It took another 2 hours for the monsters to stop spawning. Once the situation was cleared Xeos and Afton downed their last potion which was a stamina potion so that they wouldn't collapse. Xeos and Afton collected the Half the stones and left the other half for the Loki familia. Finn was curious about the situation and questioned them about the situation. Xeos explained that they used dungeon bait to gather monsters into a trapped area to kill them off. They explained the ceiling first then the fighting one. They were gonna use another one when the dungeon shocked and monsters of the enchanted kind came after them. They guessed that the dungeon wasn't happy with their way of slaughtering the monsters and this was punishment. They couldn't get in trouble about the dungeon bait since they had permission to use them from the guild in a controlled manner. Which they did.
They have no idea other than the dungeon being pissy that enhanced monsters came to attack them. Finn understood the situation and although slightly upset with them they did get permission with the paper showing it was ok to use dungeon bait to fight monsters. He wanted to ask them about the black flames especially Riveria because she could tell it wasn't magic. They didn't say anything about it just that it's one of Xeos abilities. After the Loki familia collected the stones and made sure everyone was safe and reported the fallen adventurers. Xeos rubbed his eyes since they were stinging quite a bit. He had to use amaterasu in a big way and was exhausted.
After everything was sorted, Xeos and Afton went home and explained what had happen to their own gods and needless to say they got scolded but we're welcomed back happily. Hestia updated Xeos's status and was shocked slightly but figured it came from this incident.

Skills: (New) Crimson Twins- when partnered with the other person who has this skill exp and stats will grow quickly and breakthrough the 999 limit.
(New) Monsters Enemy- Monsters will target you more often with vengeance but when outnumbered, stats double in number for 1 hour. Can only be used 2 times per day and does not stack.
Magic- (New) Lightning Control- You know have access to lightning magic. You can use lightning in anyway you see fit but you must practice to perfect new magic skills.
Hestia was shocked about the new skills and magic more than the stats. She showed Xeos his newest stats and asked if he was ready to level up. Xeos nodded his head and Hestia began the process of leveling him up. You have a few developments abilities to choose from. You have Hunter, Luck, Element Resistance, etc. Xeos decided to go with Element Resistance since he can be somewhat immune to all the elements. Hestia updated his stats but it was still glowing. Hestia nearly fainted since this was unheard of. He can choose a second development ability. Xeos choose Luck.

After showing him again his status, Xeos was excited and couldn't wait to try out his new skills and magic. Afton too has leveled up and has the same stats of 1500 and has the crimson twins skill too. Hestia kissed Xeos and congratulated him for his level up. Hestia left to report his level up to the guild while he stayed home and rest. He needs a long break after what he went through.
