Chapter 64: MON

Tiona and Tione tied up Belnas and Elnea, carrying them like trophies.

Even though they left Telskyura when they were young, they're still pure amazone that grew up there for several years.

Unlike the ones who were born out of Telskyura.

"Kali, did you miss us?" Tiona grinned at her and Tione had a twisted smirk on her face upon seeing her all banged up.

"Tiona, Tione." Kali uttered their name with defeat in her tone.

"So, what did you talk to her about?" The twins asked him and he sighed.

"This little girl here, is an idiot. She says that the ritual death battles here is all for the sake of the amazons." Lars sighed.

Which is true, but it is twisted. And he does not want to enable it any longer.

"Tch, I say we send her back to tenkai and rule over Telskyura." Tione really disliked her.

'Lars already killed Rudra permanently, sending her back would be fine, no?' Tione squinted her eyes.

"Well, that's going to be a big no-no. Are you going to be the empress of the amazons?" Lars asked her with a raised brow.

Tione shut up with that. She knows how hard Lars works to maintain order in Monstro.

And the amazons that will be left behind will not have a falna if they sent Kali back to tenkai.

"Fine, what are we gonna do then?" Tione huffed and Tiona patted her on the back.

"Good, I'm not telling you to let go of your hatred of her. But it's good you're thinking rationally." Tiona smiled at her.

"W-well... Lars needs calm and elegant women by her side." She twiddled her thumbs, giving him a stare that would melt ice cream.

"Uhh, let's not do this here please." Lars sighed and he picked up Kali by the head.

"Hey! I'm not a toy!" Kali tried to hit him, but she was too short.

"Now, I heard from a little bird that you've been buying something illegal." Lars asked her with a low voice.

'Buy something illegal?' Kali thought about it long and hard.

"Those talking monsters that could fight well?" Kali furrowed her brows and Lars clapped.

"Good girl, you know what I'm talking about. Now, where are they?" Lars smiled sweetly and Kali shuddered.

"T-they're at the prisons for monsters. They are supposed to be the monsters for level ups, but we haven't picked our fighters yet." Kali spilled the beans.

"MON, you heard her. Extract them and be on your way." Lars put a hand on his ear.

"Aye sir, roger that." Lyd replied as he was the leader of MON.

"What is your relationship with those monsters?" Kali was confused.

Everyone knows it, even mortals who have short memories do not forget. Monsters are the enemy.

"That's for me to know and you to find out. Know that they're the reason we attacked Telskyura." Lars huffed.

"You have a monster fetish?" Kali asked with a grin and he flicked her.

"No, why do people say that I have one?" Lars glared at her.

"Because you do?" Tione chimed in and Tiona laughed. "Yeah, we see how you get cozy with Marie!"

"Ugh, she's just a little clingy that's all." Lars groaned and they kept asking who he liked amongst them.

After a few minutes, MON successfully infiltrated the prison cells of Telskyura and they released the xenos.

Lyd then led them towards Lars' group because the Astraea familia and Hermes familia were still throwing hands with the amazons.

"Lars-chi! We saved them! There was a lot." Lyd waved at him and Lars checked them out.

There were a good few dozen of them. There was even rare species, like a vouivre and an arachne.

"Oh, Ranye would love to have another lady friend of her race. It will also lift a lot of pressure for the other arachnes." Lars nodded at her, pleased.

"Hi, handsome. So you're the one who saved us?" She cozied up to him and the twins pushed her immediately.

"Get in line!" Tione huffed at her and the arachne chuckled.

"I knew it, he has a monster fetish." Kali mumbled and he clearly heard her.

So he smacked her again and he began healing those who are injured.

"Osiris, inform everyone that the coast is clear. The targets are safe and sound." Lars ordered Ray.

"This is Osiris, the operation is successful. MON has exfiltrated the targets, I repeat, the targets are safe." Ray informed everybody.

"I see, then it's time to finish this farce." Alfia who was watching over the battlefield stepped up.

"Ataraxia." Using Silentium Eden, the whole world seemed to go silent at her will.

"Be silent, amazons. We have completed our task, it is time to say goodnight." Alfia snapped her fingers.

"Gospel." Vibrations entered through the ears of the amazons and they were all assaulted by extreme vertigo.

Some even started puking due to the intense dizziness.

"W-wow... Alfia, we knew you were strong. But you really held back against us did you?" Alise had a wry expression.

"You were only level 3's back then, nothing but a toddler in my eyes. My goal back then was to make you stronger, not kill you." Alfia explained and they were thankful for it.

"Yeah, I don't want to fight you for real." Kaguya can't see any openings against her.

"At least she is our ally now." Ryuu sighed in relief.

"Keep reminiscing later, tie them up everyone!" Lyra shouted and Ranye began to tie up the prisoners of war.

The amazons were dragged to Telskyura's colosseum.

They couldn't really escape their bindings. So the wounded were healed by Airmid and then thrown to prison for now.

MON guarded them while Lars had a talk with Kali and her substitute captains; Belnas and Elnea.

Everybody was present now and Lars started the meeting.

"We are going to talk about what's going to happen to Telskyura now." Everybody listened to him intently.

"1st in our agenda is the ritual death battles of Telskyura. As the winners by conquest, it is now banned permanently." Lars said with finality.

Kali and her captains winced, but they didn't have a choice or say in the matter.

"2nd, is how Telskyura will continue to raise strong amazons. They do not have a dungeon to rely on after all." Lars gave them some paper.

While waiting for things to calm down, he started writing policies.

Everybody read it and they mostly agreed with what he wrote.

"Will Orario even agree to this? You know how they are with strong adventurers, they don't like them going outside." Asfi raised a point.

"I will talk with Fels for this. Ouranos cannot reject this proposition. After all, this will increase the guilds profits and an alliance between Telskyura and Orario is one of the best things that will happen to the city." Lars explained.

Telskyura will be sending out groups to Orario and Lars would build an embassy for them.

Every year, a group of level 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's, and even 5's will be sent to Orario to grind in the dungeon.

The ones left behind will train in Telskyura and would still have battles against their fellow sisters.

Except, killing your opponent is now forbidden.

That way, Telskyuran amazons will still be the fiercest warriors the world will see.

Their culture thrives in battle and reproducing with strong males.

Nothing is wrong with having a competitive environment. What's the problem was you need to win or you'll die.

"There will be an influx of amazons in Orario. A lot of strong adventurers are also there. So more amazons will be born. It's a win-win scenario." Lars smiled in satisfaction.

"What about the children?" Alfia wanted to know what his plan will be for that.

She remembered Bell and she would slug him if he didn't have something for the future generations.

Lars smiled at her. "3rd, the embassy will register the births of new amazons in Orario.

To prevent familial disputes, the embassy will have to make the couple sign a contract. Whether it's a marriage, or simply for the sake of getting pregnant." Lars shrugged.

He stared at them, waiting for violent reactions. But they all agreed immediately.

"That's a good thing, they will have to know that Telskyuran amazons are not permanent residents in Orario." Kaguya nodded in understanding.

"But what if they want to stay though?" Lyra asked and Lars nodded at her.

"A good question. Kali here doesn't really mind if her children go. So they can stay if they want." Lars pointed at Ryuu who was raising her hand.

"Won't Telskyura lose a lot of their population that way?" Ryuu asked and they thought that was true.

"I doubt it, the amazons are a race that thrive in fighting and believe in might makes right. Even those who are born outside of Orario instinctively acts that way." Lars shook his head.

"That is true, my children are all hard wired to have a distinct instinct to find strong males. Either they are smart or strong to procreate with. It's in their blood." Kali affirmed.

"Besides, there will be an influx of other people here in Telskyura due to the alliance. I don't know about you, but amazons are attractive." Lars wiggled his eyebrows.

The girls deadpanned at him. "What about the economy though? A baby boom like that will strain Telskyura." Alise didn't want to see poor kids begging for food.

"Have you forgotten who we are? We're the Demeter familia. And Monstro supplies a lot of cheap food all over the world, we can easily expand and support Telskyura." Lars smirked.

Nobody had anymore questions and the meeting was adjourned.

Lars started repairing Telskyura with his magic and he sighed at the troublesome work.

The aftermath of battles is a pain in the ass after all.

While he evened out the destroyed pavements and walls. He was approached by someone.

"Belnas, Elnea?" Lars raised a brow and they brought Tiona with them.

"Ahh, I'm the translator." She smiled wryly as the duo didn't know the common tongue, Koine.

They started talking and Tiona nodded. "Belnas and Elnea wants to join Monstro." Tiona translated for them.

"Huh? Why?" Lars was confused, they just got their freedom after all. No need to be in constant fights and live with the thought of being paired against each other for a fight to the death.

And he even wondered if that would've been their fate against Argana and Bache.

"Belnas couldn't help but think of how I got so strong while outside Telskyura. And Elnea wants to know why we follow you." Tiona had an apologetic expression.

"Huh... I guess that's a valid reason?" Lars sighed and the two stared at him.

"Did you two forget already? I'm strong." Lars smirked at them and Tiona translated.

The duo nodded, but they said something to Tiona.

"They think you're a mage, not really someone who can brawl." Tiona shrugged and he thought that was a valid observation.

The last time they saw him, he was a cripple that couldn't really throw hands.

And both times he had an encounter with them, he used magic.

"Then let me heal you first and I'll show you why." Lars healed them fully and took away their fatigue.

The duo looked at their bodies in amazement and Lars took off his shirt. It was expensive, made of arachne silk.

"Come." Lars gestured and they understood what that meant.

As expected of level 5 amazons, they were out for blood.

The air whistled as Belnas aimed a roundhouse right at the back of his head and Elnea wanted to punch him on the neck.

Lars stopped their limbs and he didn't budge one bit.

He then pulled on them and he slammed them to the pavement with overwhelming force.

A shockwave exploded and they got planted into the ground, dazed.

"Whew, your strength and control is as ridiculous as ever." Tiona whistled.

Belnas and Elnea then looked at him, nodding in understanding.
