Chapter 4 - Tower of Babel
As Laurens entered the first floor, Laurens started walking through the Dungeon until he met 2 green and plump humanoid monsters with large eyes which he recognized as Goblins, the weakest Monsters in the Dungeon.
''Graarrr!"
One of the Goblin noticed Laurens and sprinted towards him, soon followed by the other, although Laurens would've preferred to test out their strength first but life is never perfect.
One of the Goblins held a wooden stick and jumped towards Laurens who sidestepped and kicked the Goblin's stomach and launch it a few meters away while its friend jumped at Laurens aswell.
'These Monsters have the same IQ as Bell...." Laurens sighed and sidestepped back to his original position and unsheathed his sword.
Lauren's avoided the Goblin's jump and used his right hand to slash downwards with his sword.
The Goblin was to late to avoid and the sword cut into it's neck, the sword wasn't sharp enough to behead the Goblin but it was enough to kill the Goblin anyway.
As the Laurens swung his short sword to get the blood of it, the other Goblin came running at him and swung its stick.
"Graaarghh!"
They are slow.... No, is it Heaven's Sense? Laurens questioned himself as he avoided the Goblin and grabbed its neck before pushing it down.
His gaze didn't change, and he moved his sword into the Goblin's neck, ending its life.
''No wonder so many newbies die, if you can't handle blood than this truly isn't your place to be since Monsters don't disappear on the first 5 or 6 floors'' Laurens cut into the Goblin, searching for the Magic Stones
The fight only last a short 30 seconds but the scavenging actually took 2 times as long, and that was considering Laurens' speed, normal people would atleast take 4 to 5 minutes on scavenging!
'Hopefully it gets better when I get used to it' Laurens sighed and walked further around the 1st Floor.
Laurens encountered another group of 2 Goblins which he quickly finished off and after that a group of 4 Goblins that still weren't a problem so he decided to move to the 2nd Floor.
Although Hestia forgot to notice due to him having skills but his stats were already comparable to Bell's from the get-go!
As Laurens entered the 2nd Floor, he just started walking away from the Entrance and it took him a good 15 minutes to find a pack of Goblins.
5 Goblins stood together and attacked Laurens, as his short sword flashed between the Goblins, He couldn't help but notice that the top of their head seemed to be their weak spot due to the height difference.
As Laurens started abusing this weakness more and more, even groups of 6 Goblins weren't his match.
He killed a total 37 Goblins before finally seeing a new Monster, A dog headed monster that was around 80 centimeters tall, Kobolds.
Although it would've been nice if they put up a fight since they were just a little bit stronger than Goblins but they never appeared with a group of more than 4.
As Laurens walked through the tunnels, he felt a weird sensation and a sense of danger assaulted his senses, his body instantly moved and jumped back.
*Boom*
A brown lizard jumped out of nowhere from the ceiling of the small cave and fell onto the ground, nearly flattening Laurens.
'That would've atleast broken a few bones' Laurens' eyes narrowed and swung his short sword towards the Lizard.
*Grrrr*
The Lizard hastily jumped out of the way but was a second too late and the short sword cut into its right front leg.
The Dungeon Lizard hissed in pain and revealed a look of hatred which made Laurens smile as he knew this fight was already over.
The Lizard tried running towards Laurens but its speed was already heavily obstructed due to its wounds and Laurens caught the small moment it grimaced in pain and cut into its head.
As Laurens took out its Magic Stone, he decided to call it a day since he was getting hungry and it probably would've been a good 10 hours already since he had been inside the Dungeon.
His clothed were already drenched in blood due to all the fights, his total loot was;

''My pouch can't carry anymore stuff....." Laurens looked at the pouch he had hanging on his belt, and it almost seemed that he was going to lose stuff if he wasn't careful.
Laurens also decided to buy some new clothes since it would be annoying to wash his clothes every single day without a washing machine.
Ofcourse, he could let people do it but although these clothes were cool and great for long-lasting fights, but in Dungeons they were quite impractical due to their weight after getting wet, with blood in this case.
'Let's buy a new weapon, I should buy a weapon box aswell so I can store this one. Seems like a nice hobby' Laurens thought, completely refusing to admit that despite the years he spent in Tenkai that this was his first gift from a woman that was his age and that he kept it mostly for that reason.
Although he wasn't innocent on Earth and had some relationships, due to him wanting to join the army it took most of his time since he didn't want to be an ordinary foot soldier.
As Laurens exited the Dungeon, he noticed the sun was already down and it was already dark outside.
'I wonder if Hestia is drinking, I should probably get some dinner for us and pick her up' Laurens wasted no time and walked into the Guild.
As Laurens scanned the Guild and noticed the exchange desk, he also noticed Rose talking to an Elf that he remembered as Eina Tulle, Bell's personal advisor.
She truly looked like a beautiful Half Elf with a slim body, pointy ears, shoulder-length brown hair, and emerald colored eyes.
Seeing that nobody was at the exchange desk, Laurens waved at the two women.
Eina noticed Laurens and calmly walked over with a friendly smile, Rose looked at Laurens and her expression said enough to tell Laurens she was pissed that he had already gone into the Dungeon.
After all, his clothes were still filled with stains of blood.
It was quite normal to see new adventurers covered in blood, not like Bell this afternoon, that definitely wasn't normal
Eina couldn't help but sigh at the eccentric adventurer, he ran over the busy streets covered in blood after he was saved by Ais Wallenstein and kept asking about her, which made her feel quite helpless as to what to do about him.
"Laurens-San, didn't I tell you to read the book I give you?" Rose looked coldly at Laurens as she asked Laurens with a berating voice.
Laurens merely smiled and handed her the pouch that was completely filled and seemed to be too small for his loot.
''H...how? Did you join a party?" Rose asked with a disbelieving expression before quickly changing back to her cold looks.
Seeing Rose's change of face was truly enjoyable, in his opinion, she looked quite cute when she was cold but when she acted like a normal woman made it even cuter.
"Anyway, that doesn't change anything! What if you got yourself killed?!" Rose recollected her feelings and said sternly.
''Don't worry, I know atleast all the Monsters traits and abilities until Floor 18" Laurens said with a grin as he put the pouch on the counter.
''It's not even been a day? How?" Rose squinted her eyes at Laurens who merely smiled and pointed at his head before saying,
"My memory is better than normal people''
"That is not just better, that's Genius level" Rose said seriously and sighed, it seems there was more to this new adventurer than just his good looks.
"U..umm, is this really your first day?"
A soft voice interrupted the two and they both looked at Eina who had counted the Magic Stones, she looked at Laurens with a stupefied expression.
"Yes, Rose can testify to that" Laurens grinned and looked at Rose who gave him a glare before saying,
''He came here yesterday to register for a Familia and this morning he registered as an official Adventurer''
''I..i see, Rose I think you should take a look at this" Eina said and handed her a paper, Laurens knew it was about him so it wouldn't matter if he just looked over her shoulder right?

''It seems like I will be eating a good dinner tonight'' Laurens said with a grin and looked away when he noticed Rose's face being extremely bad.
''I told you to keep it easy, I told you to get used to the Dungeon, I told you to not overdo it! You went onto the 2nd Floor on your first day?!" Rose nearly wanted to bite Laurens, did this moron have a death wish?!
Monsters got craftier the deeper you went so it was advised for new adventurers to get used to Monsters in general first.
''Umm, Rose. I think he did look out for himself'' Eina interrupted Rose who wanted to berate Laurens some more but couldn't, his life was his, but she still didn't want to see another adventurer die under her watch.
''What do you mean Eina?" Rose asked with an irritated expression as Eina showed her 2 different Magic Stones which instantly made Rose instantly understand she had judged too quickly.
The Magic Stones were obviously from Goblins but their purity differed which was an indication from what floor it was.
''I'm sorry for judging too quickly'' Rose apologized with a complicated expression and even wanted to bow her head but Laurens already stopped her actions and said with a kind smile,
"You're only trying to help me, if anything, you have probably met lots of overconfident people who lose their lives within a short period of time of becoming an adventurer. Thank you for caring anyway" Laurens said, he couldn't help but praise her nature.
She was right yet wrong; it was debatable and yet she still apologized and went as far as wanting to bow her head with her personality.
''I will watch out and be careful, I wouldn't pass up on the opportunity to see such a cute woman care for me coming back alive'' Laurens shrugged his shoulder and packed the money on the counter into his pouch which made it quite weird since he didn't know the exact currency's except Valis.
''First come back alive and then flirt with someone older then you'' Rose had a small smile on her face as she hit his side but Laurens could see she liked the compliment.
"I'm at a marriageable age, that's how old I am'' Laurens flashed a smile at her.
Rose looked away to recollect herself and turned back with a cold look a second later but Laurens could tell the gaze she held was atleast a bit warmer.
"Ummm, Eina, right? Could you tell me the exact currency's of Orario?'' Laurens asked with a smile as he looked at the coins on the counter.
''Ah yes'' Eina smiled and put her glasses right before grabbing a paper and pencil before standing next to Laurens.
Laurens leaned forward which led to their faces sticking closely together which made Eina's face turn slightly red but she still began explaining and drawing at the same time,

[A/N: I searched everywhere for a solid explanation but the opinions are way too different, in Episode 4/5 there was a moment when Bell and Lily earned a full pouch of coins so there is no way the currency is counted per 10 per quality (like 10 bronze coins are 1 silver coins) and later Lily said she converted her coins to Gnome Crystals but Lesser Gnome Crystals seem to be worth around 50.000 Valis, which I will keep it at, if you're not satisfied with that, I understand but just take this amount for this Fanfic and use your own amount you think it is separately from this Fanfic so we can keep it on 1 line here <3]

''I see, thank you for the explanation. But why did you give me so many coins in Bronze, Silver and some Gold coins?'' Laurens asked as he saw the coins on the counter.
There were 4 Gold coins, 216 Silver Coins and 425 Bronze Coins which amounted to 62.025 Valis, to earn that amount on an adventurer's first day was a new record for sure.
''Well, since you became an adventurer yesterday it seemed like a good idea to make sure you gold go get a good weapon if you didn't have one yet and to make sure you had smaller amounts of currency's to go shopping for a good meal'' Eina said while scratching her face with a smile.
''Thanks'' Laurens thanked Eina and put the coins into his pouch that was nearly half full, luckily his pouch was bigger than Bell's although a little worn-out, but he could just buy a new one tomorrow with the money he earned today.
''I should go and pick up the Goddess, how do I get to the Hostess of Fertility?" Laurens asked Rose who told him the way to the pub.
Although she wanted to explain some things to him, she didn't want to be a nuisance since it was the Goddess of his Familia they were talking about.... Although a bit of a special Goddess, a Goddess nonetheless.
Laurens bade the two women farewell and walked towards the Hostess of Fertility, on the way there he couldn't help but take in the fresh air of this world.
"Hopefully she is not too drunk...."
