24 Part 24

So here's.... I guess some have noticed that webnovel has banned reading "any free book after tagged volume 1". If they haven't downloaded the app. I have downloaded the app... and most likely means "in the app", so I don't know.

Also I read that you can solve this problem "delete volume function", so I tried deleting 000 volume, but it didn't work much.

So if anyone has any suggestions, tell me what to do.

Well, and I fucking can't read my own book. So editing and inserting pictures isn't very convenient. I mean, it's not convenient at all.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Finally." - I said into the emptiness of my house.

There was only one year left before part of the main canon began, which meant that the second year of high school was coming to an end. And this time the graduation party wasn't just limited to juices, and there were stronger drinks already; I certainly didn't have anything to look forward to with so many righteous people, but it was fun to watch their green faces in the morning. Of course, the whole class decided to find a better place to party and unfortunately most people knew that I had my own house, so after this party I had to remember my cleaning skills again and to my surprise I got another talent [Ultimate Cleaner], yes... another one.

At this point I had 14 of them, they were varied and some couldn't give me an advantage and others gave me some privileges. It may have been something incredible by the standards of this world, but knowing who shows up in the future it's nothing. A guy who just happens to get hundreds of Ultimates, Ultimates that had been accumulated over several hundred years and that numbered just an incredible number of strong Ultimates.

So I stopped hoping for talents and started to invest more into my stuff, spending thousands of hours in the gym the whole two years and what I usually do in the gym looks surreal while not forgetting to accumulate points. And of course, we shouldn't forget about the "gamer's body" which can take a lot more damage than a normal one, well, and carry a lot more damage.

It can't be that Izuru himself somehow automatically has all the physical characteristics of "Ultimate fighters" and stuff like that. He may have their experience and skills, but he has the body of an ordinary schoolboy, who can't replicate everything too.

But okay. I think we shouldn't think about the bad things and better remember the second party, which was more childlike compared to the one at my house, although that one was at my house, too. To my surprise, more people showed up than I expected. The first people to come to our party were the younger members of the Kuzuryu family with a little addition in the form of Peko. I can't really say that I was expecting this but in Peko's case, Natsumi is starting to show some feminine beauty and has clearly learned a few tricks for seducing men, and Fuyuhiko has grown up and should not be the runt of the mill canon anymore, he's about medium height.

I also invited Miaya, otherwise she would have languished in the lab and spends almost more time there than I do due to the fact that it's a relatively short walk and the lab is close to home. Of course, there was me and ------ who even decided to invite one of her friends to join us.

Komara Naegi. She's younger than ------ so I don't know how they met, but their personalities were complete opposites, maybe it's trite opposites attract? But anyway, she likes to walk around in her school uniform. She had dark brown hair styled in a braid, and her eyes were a rich green. She was a little childishly naive, she was also quiet, but with an optimistic personality. Also, to my eye she lacked a bit of confidence because of her being in our environment.

Of course, her last name Naegi confused me too much and whether she could have been the sister of the protagonist of the first game... I remember that he had a sister, but I don't remember what she looks like. There can't be that many coincidences... What bothered me the most was the strange proximity of them both, a word here, an action there. Can't ------ be building me a harem with her manipulations? No! No?

Although more confusing was Natsumi's behavior, who still hasn't lost her crush on me and has probably already turned into love, and the strange eyebrow flirting from Fuyuhiko and the fact that he "approves" of something is also stressful. Okay, better not to think about it. The problems of the future me.

...

To my deepest surprise, the last guest was Byakuya. Even though I had sent him invitations for the sake of fun and to sit at his receptions and bore him to rest, but when the doorbell rang and there, he stood on the threshold I was surprised. Of course, he didn't come alone and there were two hundred people with overly suspicious "guitar cases" in the neighboring buildings, but I don't think they would interfere.

And, to my surprise, it all went even too well Byakuya and Fuyuhiko found common ground with each other almost instantly, and the three of us had a pretty good game tournament, drinking everything with Coke and eating pizza chips, you could even say we were regular school kids. Unless, of course, you count the fact that these three schoolboys were almost the most influential people in the future. Well, you can't praise yourself, no one can.

The girls, on the other hand, had their own company at this point, but kind of in one. One was Peko and Miaya, who just followed the other three and just nodded when they were approached, but they seemed to understand each other pretty well with their nods. When the other three girls were chirping about just about everything they could, so I even stopped listening to it after a couple of minutes. Although maybe that was one of ------'s plans, then, to keep me from eavesdropping on them.

But the fact that ------ and Natsumi gave each other a thumbs up as they left and nodded at each other like they agreed on something. That one just made a herd of elephants run down my spine alerting me to something.

(From the author: Neither Komaru nor Natsumi will be in the harem. 4 people is plenty as it is, it's just going to be a pokemon gathering from here on out.)

So, the third year of high school started off in a pleasant mood. Other than the fact that I got the news that a student who has an Ultimate related to medicine had come in. And I was going to visit her, too, after third period, but to my surprise, a voice came over the loudspeakers that were in the school.

"Yasuke Matsuda come to the steering committee office."

Stopping in the middle of the hallway in surprise, I had no choice but to turn around and walk the other way. No, I had been to the principal's office more than once, of course, and had even gone to the steering committee a few times, but usually I was invited either through teachers or phone calls, not so openly.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

"Come in." - came a voice from behind the door.

When I opened the door, I saw a darkish room for my taste. In the middle of it was a large table with a dozen people seated at it, and relatively few people. On one side of the table were four different people in black suits and looking quite normal and not even looking like the villains of the world, and they weren't bad per se. They just followed what the academy wanted for centuries and not even for the banal "Conquest of the world", but on the contrary the hope of the world. You could just call them fanatics. But I think there was also personal gain here.

Right across from them on the other side of the table were two more people. Jin-san was sitting in the middle and Tengan-san was to his left, and the seat on the right was slightly pushed back and I knew by the slight and quick tilt of my head from Jin-san that I had to sit in that seat, so I walked over and sat in it without waiting long.

"All right, everybody's here." - One of the old men began.

"We've already discussed the main part." - The other one said cryptically, while looking at the others strangely. "So let's move on to the second purpose of this meeting."

"Namely." - These guys seem to like to go on for the other. "Namely, about creating a backup course."

"And you're probably wondering Yasuke. What are you doing here. Yes?" - The other one said again.

"You're right. It's a little confusing." - And I really didn't know why I was here.

"Yasuke, we want you to take over the organization of this project throughout this year." - Jin-san said that already. "Tengan-san will help you, of course, and you can also contact everyone here."

"And why do we need a backup course?" - I didn't say no and I didn't agree.

"A lot of people want to get into the academy, and we want to give them a chance at it." - The youngest representative said. "Of course, not for nothing and they'll have to pay for it. We certainly have funding from the government and from old students, but even with that we have a stretch to set up an academy overseas. After all, it's not the cheapest thing to maintain an Ultimate Academy, because everyone has to be pleased and helped, and that's not always cheap."

"I see." - That sounds plausible, but there's more to it than that. "Counter-question. Why me?"

"It's even easier than the last one." - Jin-san said relaxedly as he turned to me. "Yasuke. You are a genius among geniuses. The tenacity and time you put into your talent makes us respect you. We also understand how hard it is to develop your particular talent." - He paused to clear his throat. "We also see very well that you have reached the maximum in his development, maybe not in all directions, but it is already an impressive result. We're all confident that in time you'll be able to switch from single treatment, to treating people globally. And in time you will, you might even be able to cure most diseases."

"What's this all about." - I said when I saw that Jin-san was immersed in his thoughts.

"We want you to be the next director of Hope Peak." - Tengan-san laid it all out in his mind. "Not now, but let's say ten or twenty years from now. At this point, you're the best candidate imaginable."

"I... Director." - .... "I can't promise that now. But you still haven't answered why me."

"We realize it's a big responsibility and we didn't expect you to answer right away." - The first old man began again. "We want to better prepare you for anything that might come your way in the future."

"Ahh." - I stretched out a little. "What do I get for it?" - I couldn't help myself.

"Do you want something?" - asked the middle-aged representative a counter question.

"No. But you could try. Maybe..." - I really don't need anything. "Okay. Let's talk a little more about this Reserve Course."

(Time Skip.)

I sat in the steering committee office for a few more hours and came out after all the classes were over, so I just didn't have time for the new student, but I have to say that this meeting was not useless to me. Except for the fact that I understood their basic plans for me, which I don't mind very much in principle, I think becoming the Director of Hope Peak is not a bad option, which is better not to talk about yet.

But here are their words. They were surprisingly able to inspire me. Because really... if I put in the effort, I could create a vaccine that could cure any disease or repair any injury. There's a reason my talents say that I can create amazing things that defy logic

And, to my surprise, I have already figured out what I want to do and the word vaccine does not really fit that description, but rather nanomachines. These things should be capable of everything, and they are not like something made up if I make an effort, and if this effort is made not only by me, but by a few more academy students who are considered the best, then after a few years from a simple project it will really become a justification for the goals for which the "Academy of Hope Peak" was created."

Not sitting still for long, I ran with practically all speed toward my lab for the first time in three years to use it for its intended purpose. After finding Miaya in the lab and practically snatching her from the soft clutches of Chisa, who was the only one of the trios here, I headed to my office under the shocked gaze of Chisa.

(Time Skip.)

It was well past midnight when we finally broke up, and that was only because Mia started pecking her nose. We, or rather I, under Mia's approval, were able to make a basic plan of what and who we needed, it would of course be corrected more than once along the way, but it was already built, which was good.

When I was before I left the lab, I realized that for the first time in my life I wanted to stay and work as long as I could, I was surprisingly unafraid to be abandoned by inspiration. So, once again pulling out my phone and texting ------ this time that I wouldn't be coming in today at all, instead of staying late. To which I received [ヽ(°° )ノ], followed by [explain everything tomorrow]. I was left with the answer that tomorrow I would definitely come and go back to my office. A long but damn interesting night awaited me in the front.

(From the author: I've been thinking... It would be cool to do a rebirth in male!Junko, but I've already written too much.)

(Time Skip.)

After sitting up all night in my office, I went to the largest room, which by morning showed piles of papers, and the interactive whiteboard, which was practically the entire wall was painted completely that it was hard to find an empty space. Had a little time to write up the principle of how nanomachines work, but that was it. Also thought about funding and about that I wrote to Jin-san at 4am, who apparently also didn't sleep and almost immediately replied [It will.] and that was it. Didn't even ask "what" or "why," maybe he just, wants to show his faith in me.

It was a little frustrating with the fact that my project with {} will be put on hold, but I don't think it's critical and maybe within a year I can finish it. The nanomachines will be for treating the body and {} for treating the mind.

I was almost oblivious to what was going on around me and had almost forgotten to keep track of time and, to my surprise, I was pushed out of the hallway by voices that were approaching the door.

"...And I say to Grandpa..." - the voice fell silent for a moment and at that moment its owner appeared in the doorway. "Yasuke?"

"Yasuke?" - the second voice repeated. "Yasuke?" - again he already repeated, but after he saw me.

"Good morning Juzo, Kyosuke." - I said, and as I did so, I turned to my two friends to nod at them. "What are you doing here so early?"

"We come here in the morning to eat and get ready for class." - Juzo answered automatically. "No. Wait. That's not important. What are you doing here so early in the morning?"

"I didn't leave." - I said, not looking away from my laptop.

"Were you asleep?" - Asked Kyosuke, who usually worries about everyone.

"Of course." - I answered still without looking away.

"Liar. Even I understand." - Revealed my deception to Juzo. Am I such a bad liar... "What do you keep writing there, and what the hell happened?"

He said, glancing around the room while spreading his arms to show the extent of the problem, and then coming over to look over my shoulder to see what I was doing there.

"Wow." - he marveled and stepped back a little to give Kyosuke room. "So many incomprehensible words. Have you finally decided to take over the world with your headiness?"

"No." - I said, putting up one of the many dots. "It's just that inspiration has come over me."

"And what kind of inspiration?" - Kyosuke said with interest.

"I want to create a cure for all diseases." - I said, looking them both seriously in the eye.

".../..." - they said meaningfully.

"... what?" - Mumbled Juzo a little dumbfounded.

"Well - it's not really a remedy, and it's only in the plan, but I can do it." - I said with confidence.

"And you can?" - With an overly serious look said Kyosuke.

"Of course! You seem to have forgotten who I am." - I stood up to assume a cooler pose. "I'm Yasuke Matsuda, the Super Physician of the High School! Oh, and don't forget where we are." - I flopped back into my chair. "This is the Hope Peak Academy, where the most brilliant people on the planet gather. So, I'm not going to do it alone."

"And... and how are you planning all this?" - Juzo still didn't move away.

"With nanomachines. They'll be able to cure any damage or disease in or out of the body. In time, in a few generations most likely it could even make all humans immune to disease." - explained to them as well.

"Head!" - shouted Juzo and slapped my head with the palm of his hand to confirm his words. You could see an incredibly happy smile on his face. "I never doubted you! If you need help with anything, call me anytime."

"Yeah..." - murmured Kyosuke as the flames of admiration and... Hope flared in his eyes directed at me? "If you need anything, you can call us at any time." - He said in an already firm voice and stroked my head, but already calmer than Juzo.

"Thank you." - I said sincerely. "I appreciate it."

For the next minute there was silence in the room and soon no one wanted to go on because of embarrassment, but we were interrupted by a sound from the door.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

Looking in that one, we saw Miaya who had black spots under her eyes on her pale skin and it was obvious that she hadn't slept well that night, you could also see a bento box in her hands.

"Good morning, Miaya/ Good morning, Miaya-san/ Hey." - we said almost simultaneously.

*Nod* " she greeted us and walked over to the table I was sitting on in order to place the bento box on it.

"From ------?" - I knew at once who this gift was from by the colorful packaging.

*Nod* - " she confirmed my guess.

"Good. I was just getting hungry." - I said, opening the bento. "Mmmm. Delicious." - I said, popping the first portion into my mouth.

"You'd better get some sleep after eating. It might not be good for your activity." - Kyosuke began to worry about me.

"It's okay. I didn't have a schedule like this when I worked at the hospital." - I said while chewing my food at the same time. "Here, take this. It's a sketch." - I said, handing Mia the notebook.

Into which she stared with silent enthusiasm and began to read.

"A hospital?" - Kyosuke didn't understand.

"Well, I had to provide for myself, Mukuro and ------ somehow. So, I worked in a hospital after school. That's where my experience came from." - I remembered those times.

"I see." - Accepted my explanation Kyosuke.

"What's Mukuro?" - fished out one of my words to Juzo.

"Ahem..." - I hesitated. "Only not to anyone."

*Nod* - from the two guys. Mia seemed fully immersed in reading the text.

"------ had a sister, but just before she entered the academy she was kidnapped. Well, that's the official information, it's a little more complicated than that." - I revealed a little secret ------.

"I see. I didn't know." - Juzo said and hesitated a little, but then decided to change the subject. "So, what are your plans for today. Maybe the arcade."

"No. I don't think I can make it tonight." - Started remembering that whole to-do list right away. "I have to go pick up a new student, Miaya, I'll bring her in and you tell me more about it. Then I have to go to Jin-san for funding. To Tengan-san, to discuss something, and then I have to go back home, or ------ will kill me."

"To Tengan-san?" - Kyosuke inquired.

"I've been harnessed into something tense there. And for the whole year. But don't worry at the end of the year you'll know about it, or rather everyone will know about it, but for now I'm not allowed to talk about it. So, I'm sorry." - I said, finishing my bento.

"I see." - Kyosuke said again. He's got a bigger vocabulary, what's he doing with that "I see."

"Okay." - I jumped up out of my chair and did a little warm-up. "I'm going to go tidy myself up, and then I'm going to go to one class and see a new student. Miaya."

*Nod* - she said yes, looking at me.

"I'm excusing you from class today. Read and go to sleep, well after you describe everything to the new girl." - I remembered that I wasn't the last person in this place.

*A frown* - Miaya looked at me.

"Don't argue. I know better than that. Nothing's going to happen without you anyway." - I was completely serious.

*Nod* - she was resigned to my opinion.

"How do you understand each other?" - Juzo asked a logical question.

"Telepathic communication." - I said, leaving the room.

The two men looked at the little girl to see *Nod*, and then two doomed sighs rang out in the room.

(Time Skip.)

For the sake of decorum, I tidied myself up, although I already felt fine thanks to the system, but it would be weird if I felt fine after a night of work. So, with a slightly fresher exterior I headed off to my first class, which went relatively quickly. So almost immediately after the bell rang, I jumped up from my seat and headed towards one of the classes.
