18 Glorious introduction

Much like on earth it only took a few minutes after the first rays of the sun kissed the world for the area to brighten up considerably. alex knew that if the handler from the game took the same path in reality he could make a helluva introduction when she and the protag got jumped by a great jagras and an anjanath. the field team leader would also be there to make sure they didn't have any misunderstanding about him. alex merely needed to wait until the time was right so he did high in the sky.

Freya was not having a good morning first her ship got wrecked by zorah magdaros and now she had to walk through monster infested forest without any weapons other than her dagger. she wasn't alone at least as her guild issued handler met up with her shortly after making landfall with the small wyvern. her handler , alcina , was a bundle of excitement and inquisitiveness that at least brightened her otherwise abysmal day. it only got worse as they followed the map they found towards the base town of astera. the aptanoths were a familiar sight but when the path went into the tree line they were surrounded by jagras that required them to hide from.

If she had her trusty dual blades those pest would have been the ones that needed to hide after all freya wasn't A list for nothing. freya and alcina continued their trek through these unfamiliar paths and even saw the gate to astera when it all seemed to go wrong in the worse way. a great jagras showed up and looked like it was about to eat alcina when this other hunter started riding it. he got knocked off and freya was about to run over when a fucking anjanath showed up.

Freya was about to run over to alcina and the hunter through the mess of the fight between the anjanath and great jagras when something hit both of them at high speed kicking up a huge dust cloud. freya didn't move as the dust cleared revealing the most beautiful monster she had ever seen in her nineteen years of life. shimmering black and silver scales and thick bands of muscle greeted her vision as the dust cleared. in the dragons front claws was the anjanaths neck and she watched wide eyed as the dragon effortlessly snapped it.

It was such as simply looking action but it showed an extreme level of domination that freya knew she couldn't resist right now. "great work sid!" freya heard the other hunter yell out and much to her surprise the dragon actually seemed to puff out it's chest proudly. "THATS obsidian!?" alcina asked incredulously. freya also looked at the man for an explanation since the guild did NOT describe obsidian like like he was when they actually met the guardian dragon. that was the official designation given to alex that the fifth was meant to relay upon arrival.

The man walked right up to the powerful dragon and casually patted the beast on it's muscular shoulder. "yep , this here's the local mascot , obsidian , he did a bit of bulking up during the last month so he looks a good bit different than his reports stated. from what we can tell he's still very young so he goes through changes pretty often. the most recent are these oval horns and spines of his." the man explained proudly and freya just watched in awe as alex just gently tapped the man on the forehead and chuffed like he was laughing when a small red mark showed up.

Alcina wasted no time at all introducing herself to alex since he was a historic creature , the first guild recognized elder dragon that was on the peoples side. it was a huge deal back in the old world as the description of alex was spread to all people as the mascot of the people. as a sign off good faith alex had been given the official monster name of guardian dragon to symbolize his closeness with people. meeting him was one of the few things that had motivated alcina into coming to the new world beyond searching for her grandfathers clues.

Freya knew about alex but what she didn't know was that he was somewhat aware of her as well , the only difference was that her knowledge was because of this world while his was from another. freya could tell that alex was very intent on studying her for some reason she couldn't figure out as he stared at her curiously. the truth of the matter was that alex was just surprised at freya's appearance. she had long silver hair with a purplish tinge to it and and impossible smooth face with the perfect slender nose and thin delicate lips. but the biggest draw was her eyes that were a bright golden amber color and seemed to pierce through you.

First off no strange dragon human romance bullshit is going on here , alex is just noticing how gorgeous the chick is. second no romance will happen in this story no matter what , period.
