24 The Serious Moment & The Hotel

It was another day.

It's an another day of the week.

Darren frowned, trying to think of something while Tim was busy cleaning the dining area. He's had his phone on his hand for hours and he didn't even sleep beautifully. He will wake up every hour and he'll look at his phone for notifications, messages, calls, and other things that will indicate either Lily or Lee contacted him.

He cannot even focus. He's wasting the time he has Tim as a slave.

"Cutie?"

How can he focus with the reality right now when all he can think about is Atty. Elroy and his whereabouts?

"Hey"

Of all the time he could disappear, that lawyer really chose right now to go on a vacation? Really?

"FUCK!"

Darren jumped at his seat, startled at the swear word Tim just shouted.

He glared, "What are you in for?"

Tim was already leaning on the sink with arms crossed and serious expression. He raised an eyebrow and ignored Darren's stare.

"You're awfully distracted since yesterday. Is everything alright?"

Once again, Darren felt his mind wandering, out of the place they are in, out of the gates of the house, out of everything he can see right now.

There's either their impending doom or their success next week.

"Cutie, what's wrong?"

Tim brought him back to present and he sighed. He looked up and he faintly heard Tim's sharp intake of breath.

Darren was vaguely aware how hopeless he looks and how much of a disaster he's being right now. He looks back down confused.

He kept on looking at his phone but there's still no update coming. He's beginning to grow desperate.

He wasn't even able to feel when Tim moved away from the sink and grabbed a chair and spun it. He straddled it and rested his elbows on the back of seat.

"What's got you distracted?" Tim held his chin between his index finger and thumb and gently raised his head up.

His eyes fell to Tim's soft ones and it was giving him all what he needs. All kinds of reassurance that he has him.

It was a good feeling.

He clasped the phone on his hand tight and stare at the beauty in front of him. Tim was patiently waiting for him to open his mouth, patiently waiting for him to open up, patiently waiting for him to tell him what's wrong.

Darren held his stare tight, unblinking, even when Tim's thumb brushed over his jaw, soothing whatever tension stayed there.

He smiled and Darren had the highest quality, resolution, and definition to see it. If only that gentlest, realest, cutest, and most beautiful smile he had ever seen could solve all of his problems and fix his issues, he would be grateful.

"Your cheeks are so soft" Tim smiled and brushed his cheeks some more.

"I love how defined your cheek bones are but still squishy." Tim paused and trailed his index finger lightly over the side of his left eye.

"Your eyes is the brownest I have ever seen. They're fierce and yet soft, they're glare but they also held some sort of admiration" Tim smiled dreamily.

Tim propped his chin with the palm of his other hand and continued trailing his face with his index finger.

Darren bit his lip unconsciously. Feeling all kinds of emotions in a roller coaster motion. Why is he suddenly so sweet? Why is he suddenly complimenting him again?

Darren gulped. These are the kinds of moments he loves, being seen and his touch just made him feel better. The effect Tim has on his body and mind is both astounding and scary.

He's afraid if he'll get used to it, he'll be one with it. He's scared that if he'll get used to it, he'll be looking for it whenever he's terrified of something.

He cannot be dependent on emotional things as it was far too risky for someone like him. Someone like him who guarded his heart away from anyone. Mainly because the others who tried were pathetic and not up to his standards.

And Tim is beyond that. Pass the bar Darren set up for himself.

Darren held his breath when he saw his eyes flicker to his lips for a second before gazing it back upwards and Darren felt his heartbeat quicken, his blood flowing over his body and a hot flush on his squishy cheeks.

This is the moment he will for sure highlight on his Instagram account if he only filmed it. This is the moment he will love to tweet and make other people jealous of him. This is the kind of moment he will be ecstatic to brag about.

Ooh. What a sweet moment for this horrible day.

"I'm hella curious, why are you fucking afraid of lobsters?"

He just had to break the moment. This idiot just had to destroy that almost magical moment. Darren concluded Tim has that desire inside him to shatter sweet moments to satisfy his tomfoolery.

Darren grumbled in irritation causing for him to chuckle. He gently brush his knuckles over his cheeks and smiled.

"You're an idiot" Darren criticized but Tim only smiled more.

"Feeling better?"

Darren's lips parted a little with the realization.

Wow. . . t-this idiot.

This idiot said all of those to keep his mind off of his worries? Wow. It was quite effective when he also realized he thought of something else when that moment happened. He doesn't know what to say so his face provided it for him.

He blushed for the thoughtful action.

He wanted to say 'thank you' but he can't. He can't find his voice to do so.

"We can have a date here if you want" Tim winked and Darren blushed even more.

Of course they can't. He's not finished planning the flow of it yet. But it was too tempting. Maybe a date is something he needs so he could relax and get back into nagging and ordering him around?

Darren jumped on his seat when his phone rang. He quickly answered it when he saw it was Lily.

"Lils" he answered with a quiet voice, aware of Tim's eyes watching him with interest.

"Ren!" Lily exclaimed.

"What is it? What is it?" he asked, nervous of what she's gonna say.

"We have an update!" Lily squealed and followed by Lee's laugh.

"What is it, Lily?" he asked pissed off. He doesn't like the suspense it's giving him. He jiggled his legs in anticipation.

Darren looked at Tim when he felt his hands caressing his arms smoothly. He raised an eyebrow at him and he just shrugged in return.

"Relax. You're looking so worried" Tim murmured.

"We got an update that Atty. Elroy is last seen in Heart Hotel and we're going there to hopefully get some information or contact"

Darren's eyes widened and he felt him let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you Lily" that's not what was in the tip of his tongue but it was what he said.

Lily laughed and squealed in delight again before ending the call.

Darren nodded and sighed once more. Time to get back to what's currently at hand.

He turned to Tim and raised an eyebrow, "Come on slave. I have a job for you"

He smirked, laughed and nodded.
