Chapter 3: The Parallel World

In a daze, Gu Fanyu opened his eyes and his head felt dizzy. Looking around, he saw a large bedroom with modern furniture. At that moment, he was lying on the floor in the middle of the bedroom.

''Huh…this is not my office. Did I really transmigrate?

After composing his mind, Gu Fanyu let out a long sigh! He glanced around again and shook his head slightly. He didn't bother to think about it anymore and directly opened his mouse to call the System.

''System… System!''

''Host, you don't have to speak. Just say it in your mind. We can communicate telepathically to avoid being detected by outsiders. Unless you want people think you have a brain problem''.

''Oh, tell me, where am I?''

''Host, this is Earth but not the same Earth''.

''What do you mean?''

''System only knows basic information about this world. For probe detail information host need to spend 1000 world origin points that allowed System to scan this world''.

Hearing this, Gu Fanyu narrowed his eyes and asked with a thoughtful expression. ''How many world origin points do I have?''.

''7500 units are left. 2000 units were consumed for traveling and 500 for rebuilding the host's body. Also 1000 world origin points are used to give the host a valid identity in this world. But it only works for 1 year. After time, the world's will can sense and discover the host is otherworlder''. Replied the System

Gu Fanyu just calmly analyzes and ponders one by one crucial information told by the system.

Those three things are unknown to Gu Fanyu.

However, with Ga Fanyu's intelligence, he can guess that world-origin points mentioned by the System are some kind of medium needed by the System. While the world's will must be a consciousness of this planet. Now, after being told by the System, he noticed that his physical body was somewhat stronger with strong vitality. 

After a long silence, Gu Fanyu stood up and walked toward the window. Now it was the daytime, so he could see the vicinity, many tall and big buildings with similar style and design with Earth he was live.

He also saw countless people walking on the street. They are not Chinese but American. He also saw America's nation's flag on one of the buildings.

Combined with what he saw and what had been told by the System, hints of understanding flashed in his eyes.

It was a parallel world.

''System, scan this world!''. Command Gu Fanyu.

Instantly Gu Fanyu finished his words. The invisible energy condenses and with the speed of light sweeps the whole planet, but no one in this world can feel it, not even the world's will.

[Ding! Scanning the world is success]. Out of thin air, the transparent blue screen panel appeared in front of Gu Fanyu's eyes. All information about this world is displayed on it.

Highest Power Level: Third Layer Supernatural Being

Population: 8.2 Billion (Only includes intelligent creatures)

[Note: 10 years ago, a meteor suddenly appeared in Earth's atmosphere and fell onto the planet. That meteor is actually a small piece of the high world that has been destroyed long ago. Then pieces of the high world were integrated into the Earth. Moreover, the spiritual energy contained in that piece enabled the world's will to awaken and also helped the planet go through evolution. After the Planet was evolved, it was capable of producing its own spiritual energy known as Mana. Then Mana was condensed and spread into air around the world and caused humans who have the potential to awaken the hidden abilities in themselves. But, it is not only humans who have gone through evolution, even plants and animals do so. Countless plants and animals have transformed into terrifying monsters after they come into contact with Mana.]

Gu Fanyu was reading all the information with a calm expression, but his eyes couldn't hide the trace of joy. Moreover, this is the world where supernatural powers really exist.

Gu Fanyu at this moment, so eager to go outside and witness with his own eyes the existence of humans with supernatural powers.

But he had just arrived in this world and there were still many things he didn't know about.

However, after calming down, Gu Fanyu realized that he couldn't make a rush move. One wrong step can lead to death.

Not to mention he was unfamiliar with this world. For now, he needs to understand his circumstances and make an appropriate plan. 

''System, explain a bit about supernatural beings and tell me how strong is the third layer of the supernatural being?''. Asked Gu Fanyu with a curious expression. 

''Host, supernatural beings are no longer mortals, but they are higher level lifeforms. Of course, their strength is not something mortal can imagine. The third layer of the supernatural being is the initial stage. However, the strength they can unleash, can shock the world. In the eyes of mortals, they can be regarded as Gods. Once a mortal evolves into a supernatural being, he can directly sense and refine spiritual energy. As for how strong the third layer of supernatural beings…in simple words, their full power is as strong as an Atomic Bomb''. Replied the System in a deep tone.

Gu Fanyu's face turned excited and traces of strong desire arose in his eyes after hearing the System's words. But in the end he didn't say anything.

Gu Fanyu knew he couldn't be impatient!

After all, he is only an ordinary human now!

Suddenly, Gu Fanyu narrowed his eyes slightly with a strange expression like he remembered something and said in a hurry.

''Damn! I had better get out of here quickly before the owner of this house returns. I don't want to get arrested when I have just arrived in this world. It would be an awkward experience if it really happened''.

Before Gu Fanyu could take one step, the System stopped him. ''Wait..host, you don't need to get out of here. This is your house''.

''Huh! System, I don't have time to joke with you now. You had better explain it frankly''.

''Host, like i said before. Systems have created a valid identity for you, so you can act freely in this world. Actually the System does not create a new one but steals the human identity of this world''. 

After a short silence, Gu Fanyu asked. ''System. Let me ask you. I have taken over this identity.

Then, where is the original person?''

''Host, he is dead''.

''Dead?...did you kill him?''. Gu Fanyu asked without change of expression.

''No, although it is true the System is powerful. Unfortunately, the System is not allowed to kill any living being directly. It was the law of the universe''. Replied system to Gu Fanyu

Gu Fanyu calmly listened to the System's answers and he knew that the System said the truth. Since the System is bound to him, it makes them can't lie to each other. 

''Did he die here? and where is his body?

''Yes! and his body has already destroyed by the System after stealing his origin''.

''System don't know!''

​Now it makes Gu Fanyu wonder who the original person is?

More importantly, how did he die?
