Trouble at the Academy(1)

I entered the academy and saw a large crowd gathered near the main hall. I thought "Why the hell is there so many people. Looks like they are here to see a fight who knows.

Let me ask Pavan he should be right here."

I went to look for Pavan and saw him standing their with a young lady.

Pavan saw me and waved his hand " Hey Danial here come here"

I nodded and went to the corner of the main hall and greeted Pavan

" Hey Pavan how's your health I hope your not having troubles from Adren"

Pavan smiled and said " No Danial Adren has been quite this whole week and even at the academy he's been avoiding talking to me and doesn't participate in any combat trainings in the hall. His leg and wrist injury have been healed significantly and he's much more restrained then usual. "

I felt bad for his brother, in the end they are brothers after all,they share the same blood but his brother showed hatred towards Pavan and he inflicted harm to Pavan his own brother and he broke the family ties himself so he kinda deserve it.

Pavan then continued "But I heard him once saying that his burden will be lifted only and only after killing you so be careful in the future"

I frowned and nodded.

On the hall the crowd was getting bigger and bigger and the chatter was getting louder.

I asked Pavan "What's going on in the hall"

Pavan was about to answer but the young lady besides him said "Someone failed in doing his work so the Master Bowan decided he should be disciplined in front of everyone for his poor behavior. By the way my name is Maya."

She held out her hand for a handshake, but since she took the initiative I also greeted her by hand.

The moment I held her hand I felt weird energy invading different parts of my body.

I tried resisting the energy but the foreign energy didn't stop. Suddenly the System sounded [Foreign energy detected. The System will block the energy and stop the source of the foreign energy]

[Blocking....]

Suddenly my body heated up and the foreign energy invading my body suddenly stopped. The remaining energy got used by the System and merged with my body.

Maya felt the energy getting destroyed and stumbled back her face pale. Pavan immediately supported her and asked "What wrong Maya why are you so pale "

Maya replied weakly "I am fine"

Maya glanced at me and a flash of suprise appeared in her eyes , she then excused herself.

I asked Pavan "Who is she "

Pavan said "To be honest I don't know, I met her yesterday and she was friendly so I befriended her. I don't anything more"

Just then a heavy pressure befall everyone, that pressure belonged to the a Master level cultivation.

The pressure made everyone shiver. I saw Pavan' legs trembling, I held his arm and stared at Master Bowan walking toward the hall.

Bowan noticed a someone was staring at him so he turned his head and stared at me instead .

We both fell into a staring compition. The air was tense and the atmosphere was heavy. Everyone held their breath as we stared at each other. Moments later Bowan broke the stare and went to the stage as nothing happened.

Everyone stared at me like a madman. Who would provoke a Master level cultivation existence. I ignored everyone's stare and looked at the direction Bowan was heading.

Bowan stepped on the platform and said loudly "Today I gathered all of you here to show you what will happen if you disobey the rules and regulations of this academy. As you know I hate disobedience."

Bowan waved his hand and said "Bring him up."

Some of the trainer unwillingly brought the student up. The student kneeled in front of Bowan with tears in his eyes. Bowan motioned the trainer to bring the whip. I was shocked such cruelty to someone who just disobeyed some rules.

The students family was standing in front of the platform wailing. The students mother was crying loudly and his father was holding his mother with tears in his eyes.

How can someones mother see his son getting whipped 20 times by someone 100 times stronger then him.

Bowan started whipping the student on his back. Fresh blood poured out of his wounds. The sound of whipping resonated through the entire hall.

The crowd held their head low in shame and horror as they couldn't see the torture the student was going through.
