Luna and his cats would proceed to the gaming room, and the walls were riddled with posters of classic games from the 2000's. Old old games

"Okay, aw! They even arranged them the way I asked!"

There was one big capsule, and 3 smaller capsules surrounding it. The capsules however look more like pet beds than gaming capsules

"Ha! The best capsules money can buy, lets see how good this trash called 'Journey of Legends' will be"

Journey of Legends is a new game that came out fresh the day prior. Its the first true full-dive VR game, as it can simulate all of the 5 senses and has been said to feel like real life. However, before launch day it earned a bad rep; every VR game that claimed these things, turned out to be complete hoaxes, as they would have the graphics from when games were first ever created a few hundred years ago

Luna and the 3 cats would then proceed to enter their respective capsules as each one was customized; among the 3 small ones one depicted a volcano, one depicted a mountain top, and the 3rd had clouds. And the one big one, a beach, except each was constantly moving like an animated background

"Well, they stepped up their game with this showmanship. The game better be good this time, or I'll bash them so hard their parents will be regretting raising them from their graves"

Lunaria has always been a big gamer since birth. The only reason he wanted to make money from it was because he loved gaming so much he started streaming live on Snitch, the #1 Livestreaming platform. Even his Bilcord was #1 trending, and it was just a server to find people to play video games with!

The 4 would each enter a respective capsule as the capsules would power on and they would drift off asleep

Words would pop-up for each one of them and they would be floating in space together. All of a sudden, a bunch of boxes would pop-up for Luna

[PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR RACE!]

"Now lets see. The Devs promised me a special race only I can access, so that I can have telepathy! That way I can finally talk to my favorite people"

He would pet the cats affectionately, as he would scroll all the way to the bottom and see a dragon

"Oh there it is! A blue dragon!"

He would click on it, and his body would change into that of the quadrupedal legendary creature, and his cats would become more dragon like, the russian blue was like an earth dragon cat, the sphinx a fire dragon cat, and the maine coon a cloud dragon cat

However, the only thing is that he's much smaller than the adult version; a mere hatchling

"Oh each of you looks more adorable than the last!"

Luna would scoop up all of them and hug them, standing on his hind legs as he could feel emotions from each of his cats

"Oh? I can sense what each of you are feeling. Well, this telepathy ability must not be very strong yet, but one day I'm sure we'll be able to hold actual conversations!"

The cats would feel happy for him on that note

"Well then, time to level up!"

A portal would appear in front of the 4, and they would jump into it, and landing on a clearing of soft grass. It was a small clearing of grass surrounded by trees, and messages popped up for Lunaria

[Ash has become your first familiar!]

[Rumble has become your second familiar!]

[Breeze has become your third familiar!]

[You have maxed out your familiar slots! Well done!]

[You have earned the achievement 'League of Pets'!]

[You're pets will now grow in strength with you, and level up when you do, and you level up when they do. You each also count as one person, and Levels will be gained the same for all each of you! Happy travels!]

"Well then! Late game achievement get! That's the kind of message that says 'You'll become broken as Snickers if you solo play as your pets aren't counted as players!"

Your familiars express content and excitement

"Well my children, what's the first thing we should do? Let's kill some monsters!"

The group run off into the forest, and the first thing they run into is a slime. It looks like round jello, like a small bouncy ball with an adorable face that would belong in an anime

"Aw, they made it cute so it can team wipe newbs and teach them to never underestimate anything!'

At that second, the slime's eyes shined with stars, and blasted at Ash when the said cat just spat a ball of fire at it and it died instantly

[Critical Hit! Double Damage!]

"Oh? A weakness? Are all slimes weak to fire? Lets test this theory out shall we?"

They would then start running around the forest and start slaughtering slimes en masse

[Congratulations! You have killed 1000 slimes! You've received the title, Slime Slaughterer!]

"Its been a while, but we've learned a lot. We even leveled up about 10 times! Okay, time to log out and eat some dinner, what do yall think"

Your familiars express agreement

"Okay then, Log Out!"
