The Godslayer, lacking a head by ten meters, dragged the steel lion with ponderous steps towards the underground elevator.

However, this time, it didn't return immediately.

First, it mimicked taking a step forward, then clandestinely surveyed the sky. Although it lacked a head, it remained a Godslayer, and observing the outside world wasn't straightforward without conventional 'eyes'.

After an extended period of observation, the unique ancient god didn't descend again.

It wasn't clear if it had truly escaped or would repeat its pattern of sporadic appearances.

The Godslayer placed the steel lion on the elevator first and sent it on its way.

Meanwhile, it continued to guard the entrance of the passage. The elevator had limited capacity and necessitated a phased approach to transportation.

And so, the Godslayer waited outside for half a day. When it noticed the special ancient god didn't reappear, it sighed in relief.
