After several rounds of dealing with Jackson, Randy hurriedly hung up the phone.
Now he had more urgent matters to attend to.
"A curse, or is it a Satanic curse?"
In his previous life, Satanic cults were often associated with wealthy people indulging their primal desires. There were also rumors that the rich sought out some adrenal red elixir to achieve eternal youth and terrorized children to extract it.
Randy wasn't very clear on this matter, as Korea was his base, and he couldn't investigate too much about American secrets.
In his past life, the most influential entity in America was undoubtedly the Illuminati, the one associated with the triangular hand gesture, also linked to Epstein's island. Many Hollywood stars were involved, and it was said that sacrificing family members could bring immense fortune, second only to the Nine-turn Pure Net of China.
It made Randy want to get involved.
But that was definitely not an option now. Just by hearing the name "Satanic cult," it was clear it was a top-tier church. Since this world had a God, there might indeed be a Satan.
The churches founded by its followers were likely to be endowed with magical powers by Satan himself.
Randy withdrew his perception and focused on invading George's house to begin the first phase of observation.
Darkness, silence, tranquility.
The corgi acted as if nothing was wrong, constantly biting its cage.
It was probably hungry again.
After dealing with Michelle that afternoon, Randy had also checked his residence. Besides collecting some necessary funds, he had learned the details of the clapping lights and even disassembled one.
The clapping light was something Michelle had randomly sourced from a company. Inside it was a unique piece of stitched flesh with a hexagram symbol carved on it. When powered on, the device would detect clapping sounds and emit electricity. During the light's operation, it would also deliver shocks to the two pieces of flesh.
The curse was likely activated by the energy from the electricity.
Randy had isolated the piece of flesh and tested the current activation. Indeed, it triggered danger sensing reactions, and even exposure to fire or strong impacts would yield danger warnings.
So the clapping light was just a decoy; the two rotten pieces of meat were the real medium for the curse.
Randy dismantled the clapping device from Beverly's house, removed the pieces of flesh, and then came to George's house. He clapped his hands, but nothing abnormal happened, suggesting that the clapping sensitivity was limited to inside the house.
Randy then opened the door and entered the house. In the darkness, he could see clearly.
To avoid accidental injury, Randy moved the corgi and its cage to the yard and then rolled up his sleeves.
"Clap!"
The crisp sound was particularly piercing in the darkness, but the lights suddenly turned on.
Like a bonfire ignited in the pitch-black wilderness, it was extremely conspicuous—a living target.
Danger sensing appeared.
"Clap!"
Randy clapped his hands again, feeling as if he was being watched.
"Clap clap clap!"
Clapping a few more times, the feeling of being targeted intensified. It was more accurate to say he was marked.
The curse was approaching.
"Clap clap clap clap."
But after clapping several more times, Randy realized something was off.
The curse should have been closer, but it seemed to be getting further away. As soon as he stopped clapping, the curse began to recede.
"What's going on? I'm clapping so frequently and it's not attracting it?"
When he left in the afternoon, Randy had been clapping at George's house, almost reaching the maximum threshold of the curse.
"Clap clap clap!"
Randy clapped quickly, but it only maintained the current effect.
Then he realized.
"Damn it, what time is it now, and it's already started! This clapping light is really something; it can detect any clapping sound?"
If Randy had come back later, Jackson might have seen two corpses crushed together by clapping.
Fortunately, he had already dissected the mechanism of the clapping light, or tonight he might have been outdone.
Randy took out the piece of flesh from Beverly's house and used his lightning power to burn it.
The damage was much greater, and the sense of danger surged.
As the danger sense increased, Randy vaguely heard wails in the darkness.
He immediately expanded his perception to the maximum and surrounded himself with an electromagnetic field.
Soon, he detected two strange energy entities approaching from different directions, with the wails in the darkness becoming clearer.
After sensing the curse approaching, Randy stopped his actions, and the wails immediately ceased.
Randy looked to his left, sensing the presence of evil spirits, but couldn't see anything in the darkness.
Did the lights need to be on?
Seeing that the two evil spirits were about to be attracted away, Randy tried clapping his hands again.
"Clap!"
The lights came on, the danger surged, the wailing sound appeared, and Randy even felt the presence of something on either side of his body, but he still saw nothing.
"Looks like they're invisible monsters, very special."
But invisibility was not a problem for Randy unless the entities were not in the same space.
The static field centered on Randy began to spread out, like a radar, quickly outlining the shapes of the two monsters.
They were two extremely large and fat humanoid monsters, seemingly women with very distinct African features.
They were being attracted by clapping sounds from elsewhere and were slowly retreating.
Randy looked at the stitched piece of flesh in his hand, noticing that one side was dark-skinned. Randy had thought it was a soy sauce color from cooking, but now it seemed to be the original color of the skin.
So these two pieces of flesh were parts of these two monsters?
Were they the wife and daughter sacrificed to the Satanic cult by Michelle?
Indeed, Satanic cultists wouldn't be interested in Africans; they likely induced Michelle to sacrifice his wife and daughter to cultivate evil spirits.
Every pain inflicted on the flesh was felt by them, leading to their pursuit and torture, and then absorbing the death aura and souls to grow stronger?
"Truly evil Satanic cults, making Michelle, the father and husband, personally spread the curse."
Randy resumed electrocuting the flesh, and the harsh wailing began.
The two monsters seemed to be awakened and charged towards him with their arms outstretched, like two tanks about to collide. Their skin was covered with fine lines, as if to stitch themselves together, aiming to crush the person in the middle into a meat pie.
At the same time, Randy also felt a pressure from the left, even experiencing a sensation of his soul being pulled out.
These mother and daughter evil spirits not only crushed bodies but also devoured the souls of the deceased, which was why they had become so huge.
Lightning flashed around Randy, as lightning was the nemesis of evil spirits. The two mindless evil spirits felt fear, but the excruciating pain fueled their hatred. Despite their efforts, they could never break through.
Eventually, they were exhausted by the lightning.
After dealing with the two evil spirits, Randy immediately grew a seed within his body, made a cut, dripped blood into it, and then held it high. The seed began to breathe as if it had a life of its own, and the energy in the air quickly flowed into it.
Once it bloomed, it would grow the power of evil spirits.
"Still need to go to the sewer at night. Well, I'm doing a good deed, helping Michelle's family reunite."
Randy dismantled the clapping light device from George's house and took out the piece of flesh, which was a very good ripening agent.
He tested the electricity on the flesh again, and this time there was no sense of danger, indicating that the curse had indeed been resolved.
