South District

<<Welcome the South District.>>

This was the first thing to hear everytime a newcomer arrived on the place. So it was the same to Archer. He was there and knew that wouldn't cross anyone from his previous school as they have great Magical prowess and were teached inside their houses too.

"Hey, Archer.", he found himself with Ruffus again.

"What are you doing here?", Archer thought that Ruffus would be on the North District at least.

"What are you talking about? I'm very bad at magic and for my Awakening I can control sand. So this is the obvious choice for the school.", he smiled while talking. "What about you?"

"The same about magic and even worst in the Awakening."

"That's sad. Which elements did you awake?", the boy was still optimistic.

"Ice and Lightning."

"That's some good elements over there. Even with little you can do some damage.", he took a position of thinking. "Even with only ten points you can do really well but then you would be on the East or West District."

"Five.", Archer smiled at his friend. "I like you when you don't talk so much too."

"Sorry."

"How many points do you have?"

"Fifteen. Which is good but not enough for a non common element to pass through."

"You can use your power effectively still."

"And you gained a hell of a body.", the blonde guy replied. "You must be thinking so much that didn't even noticed."

"You're right.", Archer started to finally feel his body. He grew a little and toned his muscles as some even increased. "Maybe it's not too bad."

[TFQ: But it's far from good.]

TFA and now TFQ. What that fuck was happening with his equipment?

[TFA: It's not the equipment.]

He was going insane reading this messages on his vision and even more now that it could react to his thoughts as well.

"Are you alright, Archer?", Ruffus asked.

"Yes, a little dizzy from the Awakening."

[TGK: That's enough. Lets begin.]

[You received your first mission.]

[TFQ: TGK is right. He's too weak.]

"Hey, Archer, aren't you too immersed on your stats?", Ruffus said.

"Sorry.", he gave a troubled smiled.

"The South District Director will give his speech."

<<Be welcome students of the South District. I am your Director for the year. My name is Maxwell Müller. Your grades and feats are what lead your future on our school. Your watches will be synchronized with the South District by now.>>

The watches from everyone beeped twice and change its screen color to white.

<<You are now officially students from the Grand Hazel School. On your watch you can see some informations about yourself and even access information about another students but do it carefully as they will know you did so. For being on the South you will receive 5 credits per day and it only accumulates for a week. Transations are allowed as well. The credits are used so you can eat and have access to the library's books. You can gain more credits by doing the mission on our Board on the South Building. The classes are only on the morning and are obrigatory unless the teacher wants. This is for now. Have a great year on the school, kids.>>

"Yes, the credits dropped.", Ruffus celebrated. "Lets eat.", he said to Archer but the boy didn't move.

[TFQ: I would like if it was more combat focusing.]

"ARCHER.", the boy startled at his friend's shout. "Are you okay?"

"Sorry. I'm bad at controlling this with my mind.", he said.

"Use the controls on the watch then. Now lets eat."

"Hey. Why is the screen White?", he noticed finally.

"It's because we are on the South. Center is Black. North is Yellow. West is Red. East is Blue."

"And?"

"As you accomplish things the color will start changing so you can take an exam to change from District. Normally even without color you can make the exam to climb one District.", Ruffus said while looking far away on the food.

"How much is the food?", Archer started to think in his missions. Maybe doing them wasn't too crazy for his part.

"One credit three meals.", the blonde boy answered. "If you are thinking about the books. It's expensive taking one for a day. I think its about ten credits for it."

"That's unfair."

"For us. yes."

"What are you talking about?"

"For each District the credits are increased by five.", the boy looked at Archer. "You don't know the nickname of this District or you forgot?"

"The Hungry District."

"Exactly. There are two types of people that survive here. The intellectuals and the hungriest. The first are like you. Expending money on books. They sure go far but normally graduate on the North District at most. And then there are people like me. Hungry for battle and become a Board Eraser. That gains points and achievements to graduate on the top on the Center District."

"Don't you think that balance should be a better starting point?", Archer asked.

"You don't gain experience from books, man. You need to put your foot on the battlefield and try the adrenaline for yourself."

"Well, I'll do what I think is correct and you do the same.", the boy took his bag and then he remembered. "Where do we live?"

"Maybe you are going to the Board now. The rent is one credit per day. You'll see after you left the cafeteria."

"I can live with that.", he left. "Two credits per day and three accumulating. Four days, one day rent."

[TFA: He's smarter than I thought.]

[TFQ: But still lacks everything else.]

[TFA: I'll take from here. You all are off limits now. I'll train him.]

"I'm not good.", he said and went for the dormitories.

He paid the rent for three days as well informed that he would like to stay on the same room for the year. He packed himself on the room. Changed his clothes for the gym ones and left with his two food tickets.

He started the exercises with the one kilometer run. The people on the school's ground saw him with a little confusion. What was he was doing was common actually but no one would do that on the first day. He had his reasons. Finishing the run he fastly did the other tasks as they were significantly more easy.

*********

[Growing to be a King was completed.]

[Reward: You gained 1 free stat.]

"What this means?", he was clueless about it.

[TFA: Open you status and you'll see.]

[TFA: You can put that point where you want now.]

"That simple?"

[TFA: For such smart kid you are really slow and you can use your mind to talk to me too.]

[Archer: Okay. I'll put a point into Mutation then.]

[TFA: The others are silenced but it's interesting to pick missions as your friend said. They will still build system missions around them.]

[Archer: System missions? Oh. Like the exercise and read book ones. Got it. But what are you?]

[TFA: You don't have enough authority to know even our codenames yet. Maybe after Level 10.]

[Archer: Oh well. How many of you are there?]

[TFA: A lot. Neither we know.]

[Archer: Why did you chose to train me?]

[TFA: A like to shut the others' mocks and with enough pressure you can surpass a diamond.]

[Archer: I'm looking foward.]

[TFA: Not as much as I am.]

The boy passed on the cafeteria took his two meals and went with them to his dorm. Ruffus was on the stairs talking with a couple of students and left them to encounter with Archer.

"Hey.", he noticed the food. "Why are you...", and then the clothes. "Did you left to do exercises?"

"Yeah. Why?", the boy returned to walk into his room direction.

"Take a shower and join us. I'll be waiting here.", the blonde told him.

"What are you planning?", Archer didn't like the tone as it remembered him of the bullies.

"Nothing much. The second years on the South District always make a party for the newcomers apparently."

"Yeah and even some mock battles happen too.", one of the two girls with Ruffus said while smiling to the blonde boy.

"How about it?", Ruffus smiled to his friend.

"This doesn't smell as a good thing to me.", Archer replied.

[TFA: You don't have anything to lose. Try out.]

"Come on.", the sand awakened said.

"Ok. I'll get ready and see you in a moment.", his senses were extremely on alert and giving him a very bad premonition.

Archer were smart enough for the day. All his credits were spent and he had nothing to lose but some face. That was okay to him as long he had time to return the favor. The system was helping him even if he didn't know what the system was exactly.

He stored his food and went to take a shower. Put his uniform that he used before after the awakening as he wanted to save the other for the class tomorrow. Even putting used clothes he put effort into looking as good he could with his abilities.

[TFA: Only thing that I want is that you don't give up from now on.]

[Archer: Why is that?]

[TFA: It's okay to lose but it's dishonored to fall without giving all of yourself.]

[Archer: Got it.]

"I'm ready.", the boy was on the stairs.
