In the palace
"He said he's going to make my life miserable if he tries it,I'll let him know why I went for special training," Liu'er raged.
Meiruo rolled her eyes and took the lead.
"Do you believe his men would have ceased patrolling?"Liu'er inquired.
"Of course, they would have stopped, but I told Fu Zin to stop at the next market section," Meiruo explained.
"Ah!?"
"When are we going to get there?"
Liu'er inquired.
"We've already arrived," Meiruo said as she walked gracefully to the carriage.
But first, she asked fu zin, "Did they suspect anything?"
"Of course they did, but I made up a story about my young mistress fleeing and me trying to find her."Fu zin said, and Meiruo proudly smirked.
"I taught you well." She said and tapped Fu zin's shoulder before entering the carriage, while Liu'er, who had been watching them, shrugged and climbed the carriage as Fu zin started it.
The carriage came to a halt a few minutes later.
"Have we arrived already?"Liu'er inquired.
"No, but this is where we're going to stop," Meiruo said.
"Here!?"
"Why?!"Liu'er asked.
"Okay, you really thought we'd ride a carriage into the palace?" Meiruo inquired.
"What will we become?"Meiruo inquired
"Consorts!?"
With an eye roll, Meiruo inquired.
"Why can't we ride into the palace in a carriage?" Liu'er inquired.
"As I previously stated, why will a future maid..."
Meiruo was speaking, but Liu'er interrupted her.
"Be riding in a carriage," Liu'er said, giving meiruo a look.
"My leg hurts; let's sit in the carriage a little longer before we leave." Liu'er stated.
"How come you're always tired?"
"Didn't you get any training?"
Meiruo inquired.
"Of course,I received training, but it was unique. I believe you forgot, so let me remind you".
"I was initially placed in your training group, but they realized I was too cheerful to be an assassin, so Mr Zing took me to another location where we were thought to be assassins regardless of our facial expressions."
"Do not judge a book by its cover',my master used to say to me"Liu'er stated, repeating the word cover.
"You don't have to tell me that again."
Meiruo abruptly climbed out of the carriage.
"Whenever you decide to come, I'll meet you in the palace." Meiruo said and walked away, and Liu'er grumbled but quickly climbed down and ran towards Meiruo.
They arrived at the palace and proceeded to the registration site.
The man sitting there looked at their faces, and Meiruo raised her eyebrows, saying, "I am Xi Ming, and she is Mu Liu."
The man smiled and gave them name tags as Liu'er looked at her with a shocked expression on her face.
They quickly walked away from there and went to where other maids were gathered.
"What's the matter, is there something on my face?"Meiruo inquired when she noticed Liu'er staring at her.
"I'm just curious."
"Ximing!?"
"How come I had no idea your name was also Ximing?"Liu'er expressed surprise.
"Keep your voice low, and if they ask what's wrong, I'll tell them I don't know you."Liu'er smirked and folded her arms under her breasts as Meiruo said.
"Do you think they'll believe you, you know we literally entered together?"Liu'er remarked while Meiruo remained silent, as she scoffs.
A woman soon arrived to greet them.
'Mu Qing,' she introduced herself.
If they didn't want to die young, the headmaid advised the maids not to disrespect or cross part with any of the crown princess consorts or concubines.
The maids must submit their name tags before beginning work and retrieve them when finished; otherwise, they will not be counted among those who worked.
After that, she began assigning tasks to each maid and soon summoned Xi Ming and Mu liu to clean the crown prince's study before nightfall.
The maids who had tasks to complete went to do it, while the rest retired to their rooms.
There were fifteen people in a room, but for the maids chosen personally by 'THE CROWN PRINCE BEST LIFE,' there were only two people in each room.
Meiruo and Liu'er were fortunate to be in the same room.
Liu'er retired to one of the room's beds as soon as they arrived.
"Things went smoothly, we didn't have to look for a chance to get close to him or get separated from you, which would make communication difficult."
"It was all planned"Meiruo explained.
"What!?"Liu'er inquired, surprised.
"I said that everything was planned."
"I know the head of that place, and I talked to him, and he agreed to let us go in their name" Meiruo explained.
"Exactly what I expected." liu'er said.
"Life around you will always be planned but,you are truly amazing."
Liuer gave meiruo a big thumbs up,
Meiruo laughed, and said
"You can rest now; I'll dress you when it's time to leave."
"Since you were complaining, you were tired a million times," Meiruo chuckled.
"Thank you, my dependable big sister," Liuer said with a cute pout before falling asleep on her bed.
Meiruo, on the other hand, chuckled and arranged their clothes before laying down on the bed.
Then,Something came to mind for her. 'her pervious mission'
*Flashback
Meiruo was seen knelling in front of Mr Zing and another man, with Fu zin by her side.
"How dare you take a disciple without permission? You're getting bolder by the day," the other man said,Xu zun the third master.
"It doesn't matter,Junior you should have gotten used to Meiruo's personality; just punish her and her disciple so we can forget about it all."
'She is our best assassin anyway,' Mr Zing said quietly to Xu Zun.
"Fu zin, you will deal with the minister mission, and meiruo, you will deal with the market troupe," Xu zun scoffs.
People on the outside expressed surprise and began murmuring.
It's too dangerous for the minister's mission.
They obviously want to kill him.
Even our group's top assassin can't handle that mission without getting killed.
Meiruo heard murmurs outside and realized the mission could get Fu Zin killed and he might still fail to complete the mission.
"It's like a waste of time!"
Meiruo believed,she glared angrily at the two men before making her decision.
"I will go in place of Fu zin, and he will go in mine, because as you said, once we both complete the mission, we are no longer considered assassins," Meiruo stated firmly.
"If you really want to go on the minister's mission,I allow you,but you will still be an assassin whether you succeed or fail," Xu zun said.
Meiruo glared at him and motioned for Fu zin to leave, and when he did, Meiruo stood up and looked straight into Xu zun's eyes before speaking up, breaking the eye contact, and walking around the hall.
"Of course, I appreciate your offer to set fu zin free," Meiruo said.
"I and Fuzin will leave for our respective missions tomorrow," Meiruo said, now looking him in the eyes.
"However, if I am not saved by anyone in this group, consider me no longer a member of your assassination group."
Meiruo stormed away after saying this.
The next time we see Meiruo, she is covered in blood and crawling toward survival. She looks up and sees someone coming to her aid from 'THE CROWN PRINCE BEST LIFE'.
*Flashback concludes
Meiruo sighed as he looked at Liu'er.
"If only I had been more clear".
Soon after, Meiruo approached her and gently tapped her on the shoulder.
"Leave me alone, I still want to sleep," Liu'er said sleepily.
Meiruo sighed and said, "You can still sleep, but make sure that when you wake up, you pack your belongings and leave because you will never have the opportunity to be a maid again."
"On top of that, you could be beheaded."
Meirruo finished, and Liu'er jumped up from her bed.
"Beheaded!?"
Liu'er was terrified.
"Of course, if you don't want to be beheaded, get your lazy body up and let's go" replied Meiruo.
"Meiruo!"
"I will not accept that, I was only sent to assist you, and I am no longer an assassin, so why should I be beheaded?" said Liu'er.
"If they even try to put me in prison, I'll show them why I went through special training," Liu'er raged.
"OK!,Good luck with that," Meiruo said, taking her name tag and walking away.
"Hey!"
"Please wait for me!"
Liu'er yelled as she jumped out of bed, grabbed her name tag, and dashed after Meiruo.
After a short while liu'er finally caught up with meiruo at the place to register their names.
"I thought I told you to wait," Liu'er explained.
"I thought you promised to show them what you've got!"Meiruo said and walked away again, while Liu'er chased after her.
Soon meiruo and liu'er walked to the crown prince study.
Within the study
"Are you just going to poison one of his ink brushes?" Liu'er asked a few minutes after they entered the study and we were cleaning the book shelves.
Meiruo nodded.
"What!?"Liu'er was taken aback.
"You will actually do that?"Liu'er shouted, and Meiruo covered her mouth.
"No, I won't; I thought you'd asked for something else, so I nodded."Liu'er breathed a sigh of relief as Meiruo explianed,Meiruo uncovered her mouth.
"So, what are you going to do?"
Liu'er inquired.
"I'm going to study his ways so that I can deal with him in a better way" Meiruo said.
"I thought you already knew his ways," Liuer said but suddenly the door crept open, and whoever opened it noticed the girl's shadows.
"Who are you who enters his highness study?"A male voice inquired.
