CHAPTER 9 Outside of camp.

She left the shop she felt completely hopeless. She walked to Fred and gave him a pat on the neck. Then she hauled her self up onto the back of Fred.

"Did they have one?" Dalton said tilting his head to the side. She glared at him and curtly remarked. " Well do I have a eye patch on my face?" she pouted her lips and looked away and sighed. "Any way we should get back to camp. Leaving it unattended is a bad idea."

Dalton nodded and looked off into the distance. Elizabeth looked down at Fred's mane and said. "We should get going..." Elizabeth drove her heel into Fred's side speeding up his stride. Dalton watched as Fred speed up his pace. "Sure."

They entered the camp and Elizabeth went straight to her tent.

When Elizabeth was in her tent she went straight to her pallet and then looked around the tent and sighed. The floor of the tent was sand. Brought by the men to soak up the moisture out of the ground from the swampy area around the camp.

Elizabeth picked up the sand and let it slowly poor out of her hand. Watching as it slowly made its way to the ground and collide with the grains of sand around her feet.

She watched thinking about the surroundings of the camp. ( Hm I still want to see what the surroundings of the camp looks like...) she thought to herself finally letting all the sand out of her palm then wiping her hands off on her pants. Elizabeth stood up with resolve and walked out of the tent and towards the weapons area. All the weapons are there in particular places.

Elizabeth walked to the swords and grabbed her sword. The sword had silk cloth wrapped around the hilt it was soft to the touch. She reformed her grip and slid it into the sheath on her belt. Then she headed towards the muskets.

She grabbed the small musket that was given to her before her father passed away. She studied it for a while and smiled as it seemed to be still in good condition. She put the musket into it's hostler on her belt beneath her white cape and patted it as she looked up and smiled to herself.

She headed towards Fred who still had the saddle and reigns from the earlier visit to the village. Fred looked up at her and gave her a nuzzle. Elizabeth patted his neck. She looked into his blue eyes admiring them for a while. She looked towards to camp exit and sighed and heaved herself onto the tall white stallion.
