CHAPTER 8 THE EMPLOYEE.

Once they reached the village they began looking at the local shops. "Oh hm. interesting." Elizabeth remarked while they rode throughout the various shops venders. " Hm? What's so interesting it's just shops." Dalton looked around checking out each shop as they passed. "I don't even see anything that resembles a eye patch..." Dalton said as he let out a yawn.

"Don't be so negative. Lieutenant Summers." She paused for a minute admiring a blacksmiths shop then continued. " This is so much different from the villages around the castle...." she let her remark set into the air for a moment then continued. " Oh there is a clothing and accessories shop over there do you think they have one?" she ask hopefully and cast a glance towards

Dalton. He sighed and glanced at the shop and spoke. " They might. Should we check it out?" He returned his gaze to Elizabeth. She nodded, so they made their way towards the little shop. Once at the entrance they pulled back on the reigns. Dalton looked at the shop a spoke. "I'll stay out here with the horses you go in and ask if they got it." " Alright."

she hopped off Fred and grabbed his reigns and handed them to Dalton.

" Lieutenant Summers, try not to get to close to Fred." Elizabeth said as she started to walk into the shop.

She opened the wooden creaky door of the shop and entered inside was filled with all sorts of clothes and hats and belts ranging from something a peasant would wear to something a nobleman would find quite suiting she looked around at all the weird looking clothing for a while. Until she found a desk where a store employee sat dozing off with his head laying on the desk. He had kind of long black hair. He had good facial structure. Only one thing looked off he had scars all over his face ranging from small and long. She couldnt see his arms but she was almost certain they had scars all over aswell....

" Um... mister?" she went up to the desk and started to try and wake him.

"*SnOrE* mm?" it seemed he was starting to wake up but then he went back to sleep she reached out to shake him awake. She realized that it would not be formal to do so. So she pulled her hand back to her side. " SIR! " she finally had enough and raised her voice "AH! I wasn't sleeping I swear!!" his head shot up off the table and he about jumped out of his chair. " Sorry did I startle you?" she started to feel bad for raising her voice but it woke him up so it didn't matter anymore. "Ah. sorry bout that is there something ya need?" he asked narrowing his eyes." Sorry to bother you but.... do y'all have any eye patches?" she gave a hopeful smile. "Hmm I don't believe we sell those sorry....." he rested his head in his hand... "I'm sorry for bothering you." she said looking down at the ground turning away from the desk.

" It's fine." the man said lowering his head on the desk once more.

Elizabeth turned a left.

The man watched her as she left....

( what an interesting person.) He thought to himself as he let sleep take over once again....
