18 Hours earlier…

13:00 p.m...

My back was seriously killing me. It had been two hours since I had arrived on campus and finding my room only took me about ten minutes. The real problem was unpacking and setting up my dorm. I was the only one present, meaning my dorm mate was going to come here any moment. I had already unpacked my clothes into my part of the closet and draws, fixed my bed, and had put all my toiletries in the bathroom. Even when I was tired I still had to Skype my parents to tell them how things were going.

I sat cross-legged on my three quarter bed, fixing my hair into a bun to at least look presentable. "Hey mom and dad." I waved at the screen while they excitedly returned the gesture. I hung my laptop in the air and moved it around.

"So, what do you think mamma?" She smiled widely. "It looks great sweetie.

"Then looked down. "What's wrong papa?" He rubbed mom's back slowly. "We have some bad news."

I unexpectedly made a frown. What kind of news? Did it involve me? I quietly muttered.

"Your mamma's substitutional teaching is no longer required, it seemed that the school found another teacher to cover for all the subjects she does."

I tried not to seem effected. "Does this mean that I won't be able to study next semester?" She started to cry but managed to nod her head. The door began to open.

"I--I have to go,my roommate is here." I clicked the 'end call' button and closed the computer.

"Oh sorry, I didn't know anyone was here already."

A Black American girl appeared while holding a brown box in her arms. "I'm Taylor by the way." She smiled whilst extending her right hand. I just stared at her, wishing I could scream Dude, I'm not gonna be here longer than I expected so what's the point of knowing your freaking name! But I couldn't do that...no that was just too cruel, even for me. "You know...when someone offers their hand you're supposed to take it."

"I'm sorry." I quickly shook her hand. "I still can't believe that I'm here, in this room, you know?"

Gosh I'm such a liar.

She laughed. "Oh okay, that's reasonable. So what have you done to the room?"

Taylor walked around excitedly while I plopped on my bed and shrugged my shoulders. "Nothing much, just unpacked a few of my clothes and other stuff."

"Is that it?" She questioned then I nodded my head "Pretty much"

"Ohh..." The silence seemed to be unbearing for her so she suddenly jumped on my bed and shook me "We should celebrate!" I looked at her dumbly, raising my left eyebrow "And for what reason, may I ask?"

"Us being roommates, a new chapter of our lives has just begun." She squealed which made me think she was more crazy than I thought.

"Taylor, we've just met... How are you so sure that I'm not some serial killer or some weirdo."

"I somehow trust you so can you do me this one favor and go out with me because I don't know anyone and if we go out together and I get drunk then at least we will go back to our dorm together."

I heavily sighed. "I can't."

"Please, only this once and I promise that I won't ask anything like this ever again." She begged.

It could get my mind off what mom had said about me not being able to study next semester...

"Taylor, how long are you going to take in that bathroom?" I shouted while banging the door. I had a red cocktail dress on with black 5 inch heels light makeup with mascara and dark red nude lipstick. I had covered my long dark brown hair with a shoulder length brown-haired wig with light brown highlights.

You might be asking yourself why I was doing this, truth be told I don't know either but for some unknown reason I wanted to be someone...different.

"Haven't you heard that perfection takes time, my sweet Kaitlyn."

"The more time you take, the more I start regretting why did I agree to go with you in the first place." That seemed to get her attention as the door was opened quickly.

"Geez, let's go." And with that I was dragged out of our dorm room and into a taxi cab.

"Why is this music so loud?" I shouted.

It had already been 15 minutes since we had entered a club called the Lodge and Taylor had made it her mission to get me drunk. I had already had a martini and two shots of vodka while Taylor was sipping on her sex on the beach.

"It's a club Kait, the music is supposed to be loud." I rolled my eyes as the song Cross your mind by Sabina Claudio began to play.

Taylor screamed. "That's my jam!" And soon tried to drag me to the dancefloor. "Tay, I don't dance." She struggled to pull me, realizing it was impossible she then pleaded "Come on, everyone can dance."

"I didn't say that I can't, it's just I don't want to." She started pouting.

"Please, for me?" I sighed deeply. "Fine..."

She suddenly squealed then surprisingly took my hand, leading me to the dancefloor.

I remiss I admit it... I'm addicted to anything that's not good for me and I'm spending my time thinking who the hell is she in your arms smiling ohhhh ohhhh ohhhh. I know that you're afraid of what you want but I've been curious, do I ever, do I ever cross your mind...

My hips started moving to the beat of the song, going left then right and left again while my hands were in the air following the movement of my hips. They easily moved down to my hair, griping them in the process. I felt alive... Free. My mind was blank and I wasn't stressing over my mom's unemployment or how was I going to pay for my studies next semester. Hmm... seems like the alcohol had already started to kick in, no wonder I was started to feel lighter.

When you're kissing her, touching her, staring in her eyes. Tell me, do I ever, do I ever cross your mind. When you run your hands through her hair like you did to mine. Tell me, do I ever, do I ever cross your mind...

I was starting to get an impression that some people were staring at me.

Let them.

My consciousness said and I did until I stopped dancing. When I had opened my eyes Taylor was at the bar with a guy that was flirting with her. She then saw me looking at her and mumbled sorry and I mouthed it's okay.

While standing on the spot I was dancing just a minute ago, pair of eyes were staring at me, burning holes through my body which made me bite my bottom lip in response. He stood up and started to walk towards me. Crap! What do I do?

I surprisingly walked away to get a tequila by the bar. I needed another drink. After taking a few sips a person sat next to me. The same guy who stared at me not too long ago. The very hot, sexy guy with an invisible sign that said, 'Fuck me and you would never regret it the next morning.'

The bartender asked what he wanted and he responded with a beer. When he received his drink he took a sip then turned to look at me.

"Take a picture, it will last longer." Those words unexpectedly slipped out of my mouth. He chuckled. "If I did, wouldn't that be called stalking."

I finally looked at him, our eyes locked onto each other while he smirked at me. "Yeah... I guess it would. Well goodbye beautiful stranger." I stood up, taking my drink in the process but he grabbed my left arm, pulling me towards his lap which I had no choice but to sit on otherwise I would have fallen. With my right arm still holding my drink, I wrapped it around his neck. He stared at me for a moment, observing every movement and breathing I seemed to make before opening his mouth. "Did you just call me beautiful?" He grabbed my waist so I wouldn't break free from him, from his bewitching... Trap.

I laughed. "Is that all you remember." He responded with a nod then looked down on my cocktail dress, touching the fabric. "Also the word stranger caught my attention but I think that we should rectify that"

I sighed. "Hmm... We could after you show me that you can move" He had let go of my waist and I hopped off his lap, taking his left hand in my right one as we walked towards the dancefloor.

The song Slow Motion by Trey Songz began to play and he grabbed both of my hands, intertwining them with his then pulled me towards his body. His hands snaked around my hips. "You've been getting your way for a long time. I think we should rectify that." I whispered against his left ear while moving his hand upwards to my waist.

We moved one step back then one to the right. He spun me around and my back was pressed against his front. I felt his hot breath breathing down onto my neck. Why did he have to smell so good... It was like he knew that my legs were not able to support me anymore because he gripped my waist tighter making me slightly moan.

I began to move my hips accidentally but he turned me around "You're the most confusing person that I've ever met." He said, looking straight into my eyes then suddenly separated my legs apart with his right leg.

We moved two steps to the left and then he pulled me closer, which meant we were completely against each other. I reached out to touch his hair, it was really soft.

"I don't even know why I'm doing here." I laughed. "And I'm drunk, which explains why I've been thinking dirty things about you."

He smiled. "It's okay, I've probably been thinking the same things you are."

"That's... Cute." We both burst into laughter. "I'm Reed West." He extended his right hand which I took. "I-- I'm" He frowned.

"Are you okay?" I nodded "Mystery girl it is then" He took my hand in his. "You want to go outside for some fresh air?"

I looked over where Taylor sat then nodded my head "All these drinks have made me hungry"

"Then you're in luck because I know this place that sells the best Hamburgers I've ever tasted."

~°•°~

Turned out that Reed was right, the burgers were to die for. We had later went to his apartment which was surprisingly beautiful and neat.

I was still viewing the living room when he asked if I wanted to drink something. "Do you have...Wine?" I wonder why did I even want to drink more alcohol if I was already drunk.

"Hmm..." I licked my bottom lip slowly. "This is delicious." He followed my tongue with his eyes then looked at me "I'm sure that you taste even better."

Blushing at his statement, I shook my head. "There's nothing unique about me, I'm just like the rest, dull and plain... Normal."

He stood up from his seat, sat down next to me and unknowingly kissed me. My eyes immediately widened as he started to pull away. "Trust me, you're far from normal." I blinked once, twice, thrice, still letting what just happened process in my mind.

I unexpectedly slapped him. "I'm sorry."

He blankly stared at me."I--I'm not used to letting people kiss me without my permiss--"

He kissed me again, this time it was more meaningful, and passionate. I uncontrollably responded, opening my mouth more in the process. He lifted me up, placing me on his lap while I tugged his hair. His hands traveled from my waist to my ass which he tightly grabbed. "Reed..." I moaned, moving my hips against his now aroused shaft. "I shouldn't be here." I pulled away from him. We were both breathing heavily.

"I'm sorry... I know we've just met but I've wanted to kiss you ever since I've laid my eyes on you at LUX. Your lips are very tempting."

I began to smile but that soon turned into a frown. "Where's the bathroom?"

"Umm...Upstairs to the right. You good?"

I couldn't explain because my legs sprinted towards the toilet. Soon loads of junk starting exiting my body. Reed held my hair and rubbed my back while I continued to barf.

~°•°~

I had drank water and my body had started to relax. Unfortunately my dress smelled of alcohol and barf so Reed borrowed me his black T-shirt. "This was totally unnecessary but thank you." I caught his shirt when he threw it to me "I don't mind, I'm sure it's going to look better on you."

I laughed but started feeling dizzy. "You're spinning."

He raised his left eyebrow. "What?" I nodded my head. "I think I'm going to faint." His eyes widened. "Right now?" I nodded again then suddenly everything went dark.
