"Dart Goblin!" Brian inhaled sharply
Although Brian wasn't sure which creature he was, but it closely resembled the figure of Dart Goblin from a certain game.
Brian was in no state to care about the 'help' he must've borrowed from this Dart Goblin as the poison was starting to act on him. He wasn't fully sure about which poison he was infected by so he did nothing.
"Phweeeeeeeee!"
Brian used a lot of his remaining strength to whistle as loud as he can and summon his familiars. Although this would alert many animals around him normally, but he had already cleared the area and didn't need to worry for the time being.
After whistling hard, he then took some water from his bag and started washing the wound. He removed his clothing first and then cleaned up the wound and plucked the dart from his body.
Whilst in the process, he felt a lot of pain but he endured it all.
After half an hour, his familiars finally came to his location. Commanding the bear to take the Dart Goblin and the panther to take him, Brian finally fainted.
…
"Are you fine boss?"
"huh?!"
Jack's voice startled him a bit but he soon regained his senses and looked around. He found himself in the log cabin built by Jack. He also found a few notifications from the System which were mostly from his parents and some scammers.
"Care to explain what happened?" Brian finally opened his mouth and questioned Jack.
"Uhh where should I start…
Your familiars got the body and you to us. I was panic stricken by your condition but didn't know anything about poisons. You had symptoms of diarrhea as you were shitting in your sleep.
I consulted Allen about it but he had other plans. He wanted to kill you and grab all your Creation Points, but I stopped him with my extremely powerful skills…"
"Stop Stop stop. Don't go on blabbering all the details, just tell me everything IN SHORT" Brian shouted
"ok,
In short Allen betrayed you but due to his weak physique I was able to defeat him. I made him open his mouth about the poison and then gave you the cure. He is now tied up in the warehouse." Jack also spoke everything in short.
"Hmm…" Brian was uncertain on what to do next.
On one hand, the scientist was extremely important due to his knowledge and on the other hand, he was not someone who could be trusted. Brian wanted to torture him and make him a subordinate but he was rather unsure about the success percentage. The only other option he had was to kill him and borrow his 'help'
He knew that the most rational decision was to kill him or use the newest skill he got, but he still felt that Allen was useful for long-term. Being unable to decide, he left the decision for later and opened his communication tab to check up on his parents.

A bright smile broke on Brian's face. He felt the love of his parents even when they weren't present with him.
He patiently replied to both of them explaining the reason for his absence and also giving the news about his wellbeing. While replying to his parents, he also put the agenda of reuniting with his family to the foremost.
This incident was no doubt quite unfortunate for Brian as he was not expecting a Dart Goblin just when he had levelled up. Brian reminded himself to remain calm and composed at all times and not lower his guard for even one second while he is in the [Selection Area]. This also gave him the first-hand experience of betrayal making him aware and also becoming the foundation for his future development.
"Huff…" Brian exhaled deeply.
He had already made a decision in his heart. He was not going to leave the traitor just because he was useful. Brian also felt the need to establish certain principles for himself which would never be broken.
He decided to give the last ultimatum to Allen to become his subordinate and continue to provide elements to Brian while being imprisoned. Although this was quite brutal as Allen was not bound to him in any way and had not done anything wrong by trying to escape as that is just human nature, but Brian felt that it was necessary to remain tough at certain points to not let subordinates climb on his head in future.
Brian was also very grateful to Jack. Being saved by him twice made Brian see the importance of loyal subordinates.
The loyalty can be because of fear or trust, it doesn't matter. Brian knew that Jack also would've done the same as Allen if he was not a subordinate and feared death.
But that didn't stop Brian from deciding to trust Jack a little more and add him to his Friend List. This seemed like nothing important, but it was a sign of trust by Brian. He was willing to give a chance to Jack.
"Jack!"
"I have a task for you…"
…
Brian slept for almost 7 hours before he woke up.
He didn't forget about the strange notification stating that Anahita was gazing at him and had once again written on the [Human Chat] to ask for answers.
Finally, he had his answer-
According to the self-proclaimed Mythology Expert, Anahita is an ancient Persian Goddess associated with healing, fertility, and wisdom. She is a part of Zoroastrianism and became an angel. She also has some kind of cult in Indo-America.
Brian slightly widened his eyes but soon composed himself. The whole ordeal of Gods pointed to one thing which had already been guessed by Brian earlier but was dismissed due to no proofs.
In John Jacob Bastor's memory, there was little to no mention of Gods that hosted the [Selection Area] or the [Selectors] but there was a little incident where he overheard someone speaking about the Selected people having a direct ticket to the Sun Valley Academy.
Hearing this John was unable to keep calm and unfortunately made some noise making the conversation between them come to a halt. Sun Valley Academy was one of the legendary Academies in the Genesis Plane where entry was as difficult as crossing the hell. It was like getting into Oxford University just 100 times harder.
If Brian went along with the memory fragments, then the Selection might not be so simple and his father won't get an invitation by Ptah so easily. This was most likely a scam or more likely it was a test for the potential candidates.
Maybe, if his father accepted the offer hastily then he might never have the opportunity to get selected ever again and even get a punishment of some sort. Even though it was a scam, it also showed the potential of his father was seen by the Gods and they were willing to give tests to a mere mortal.
