18 Chapter 17

There is no greater feeling then getting one over someone and they not being able to get a word back in. I just sat back and ate some rice balls I bought from the human village for an easy breakfast as I considered what to do for the day. 'I should check in with Reimu she will need to know the Scarlet Devil Mansion is going to explode with activity soon'.

After I was done getting cleaned up I grabbed a small space expanded bag and stuffed a bunch of knives and a couple sets of bedding inside and, with a loud crack I disapparate from my tower and landed in front of Reimu's shrine. Now it was looking much better and not nearly as run down, and was actually approachable and people started to leave donations. But there was a bigger problem I teleported from my home so I didn't see the morning sky. But now that I have it was blood red and there was a red fog spreading out in the distance so one couldn't see that far

"Hey Reimu I got news from Yukari and I know what hell is going on I think!" I called out but I received no reply and after a quick check around the shrine it was confirmed that the priestess wasn't here. 'Maybe she is at Marisa's house she learned of that weird ritual there just maybe I can find her there.

Not too familiar with Marisa's house and surrounding's, I didn't want to mess up apparating there so I just spent a half an hour flying quickly there and noticed Marisa's house was a smoking wreck again and after checking her home I saw that there was a struggle with how there were clear burn marks from more one explosion's but hardly any outside so I thought maybe she just flew away and they tried to catch up.

"Shit where the hell did they all go. Well I guess I have no choice but to check out the Scarlet Devil Mansion if both of them are gone." I groaned and I started flying into the human village to get a couple futons really quick to stuff in my bag and then headed to the western river that separate's the mortal and spirit portions of Gensokyo and had to dodge the occasional spirit and fairy that wanted a nibble out of me and the ones I couldn't I shot them down by electrocuting them to fall out of the sky.

Arriving at the river I just followed it north and I saw the large Scarlet Devil Mansion sitting not far from the bank of the river but it was cast in a menacing glow from the dark red sky and the surrounding bloody mist didn't help its appearance either. Landing at the front gate I saw a woman leaning up against it.

She had sunset red hair and she was wearing a green dress with the sleeves and sides of the dress white. She was sleeping so I coughed to get her attention... I coughed again louder. "Hello!... Wake the hell up!" I called with my eyes twitching I mean seriously what the point of a guard if there that deep asleep.

She exploded with my yell standing up straight and if I wasn't just watching her i would have just thought she was just resting her eyes with how aware she was. "Ah haha I was just testing to make sure you wouldn't have entered without permission intruder!" ??? I haven't even had the chance to break in yet, but then again that seems to be what all the 'cool kids' are doing here.

"Yeah I just have to deliver a package for a ahhh.. Mrs. Remilia Scarlet? May I go inside to give it to one of the maids or something it shouldn't be left outside for however long is you're shift is." She pondered the question and seeing her doubt I continued on the vein of the items Marisa and Chen stole. "If it helps it was a rush order by a Silver haired maid who ordered a whole kitchens worth of knives and a bunch of bedding." I said with a shrug and the guard looked relieved to say the least from what I was saying.

"Oh that is so great to hear they have been going insane for the last couple days about getting robbed. Oh by the way my name is Hong Meiling its nice to meet you." She said with a heartfelt grin while holding my hand and leading me inside I was guessing she was happy she wasn't being beaten black and blue by whoever wanted to break in this time.

After exchanging my name and telling her that I was a wizard and living closer to the shrine maiden, she told me she was a martial artist Yokai and how she was getting bored just being a gate guard, so thinking about it I didn't have access to Chiron anymore and I needed to strengthen my body that way its less likely an errant spell make me instantly lose a fight. "Um Hong Meiling would you mind teaching me some martial arts sometimes?" I asked kind of shyly I wasn't sure how secretive people kept there ways here in Gensokyo at least Reimu had no problem sharing her magic with me only her bloodline magic was kept from me but I was the wrong gender to be able to use it anyway.

"Hmm well Remilia is really upset lately so how about after she cools down I can give you some lessons and I can see what needs to be worked on." She offered happily seeing a break from the monotony of standing in front of a gate.

We reached a set of double doors and Meiling turned me to look at her and she straightened my clothes a bit "I don't think its a big deal but Remilia and Sakuya is very picky about how we dress when they sees us and I don't want you to become a blood bag before I can teach you." She stepped back to take me in "Ok the waiting room is in there just go in and sit down I will get Sakuya the head maid to come take the package just give me a minute and wait in here."

I obediently nodded and walked in and sat down in the beautiful room and took in the nice furniture and a glistening chandelier hanging from the ceiling providing light and took the out my space expanded bag and took out the futons and bedding I got and set out the knives out in a neat line for inspection. "Well hopefully this is enough to appease Remilia and clear up Gensokyo." I mumbled

"Not likely boy." Came a chilled voice beside me and slowly turning towards the voice I saw a silver haired beauty giving me a cool smile and the lady continued "I know you had nothing to do with the worst of the thefts but its mighty circumspect that you come here bearing a supposed package that doesn't match what they stole. Is this their pity or just you trying to be a nice human child..."

I grimaced at seeing Sakuya sneak up on me. How in the world people were able to beat her time manipulation abilities boggled my mind but then again such overpowered abilities were common here in Gensokyo. "Yeah I'm afraid if you want your original's back you will have to invade the Gap and take them back from Yukari and her familiar's." Yeah going by her grimace even she didn't like her chances against such enemies.

She sighed and lost some of the threating posture she had. "Fine we thank you for the bedding and I could use some extra knives but you should meet the lady to explain all this." She said simply and I nodded and started to follow after she gestured to leave the stuff I brought.

We started to march through the halls of the mansion and I was reminded due to Sakuya's constant space time fuckery the space in the mansion was heavily expanded so it took us several minutes to get from the waiting parlor on the first floor, to a set of doors on the second floor. "Lady Remilia is inside please be respectful, and when you need to leave just knock on the wall a couple times, a fairy maid will come to show you out.

I nodded and Sakuya knocked on the door and I heard a quiet "Come in Sakuya and guest" Came through.

I steeled my nerves to meet my first vampire and walked inside to take in to see a predator of humanity. Her poise showed she wouldn't allow any disrespect in her presence, it didn't matter if she had the body of a young teenager her steely expression and proud eyes looked at me as though I was a meal at best.

"And so the fly fell into the spiders parlor how may I help you." I looked beside me and noticed Sakuya was already gone, she just stepped outside of time and didn't even see a sign of it while I was shocked by Remilia's disposition.

"I brought some supplies to help with what those girls stole from you ladies so I was hoping you could bring down the blood mist and other phenomenon." I said simply and her eyes tightened in response.

She shifted in her seat and brought a hand up to rest her chin on as she stared daggers into me with her eyes taking a crimson glow adding to the slitted eyes, feeling of a predator. "So I am supposed to simply take you're handout and take my foot off Gensokyo's throat I don't see the point in that little boy..." I was watching her expression and I noticed something, She was excited or something similar with the way I saw a blush coming onto her face her neck and starting to color her cheeks.

Ok so she doesn't want my supposed handout how can I change this then. As I was brainstorming plans on what to do Remilia cut off my train of thought. "Your blood its like a well balanced wine I can smell it on you boy. It hints of the sky and deep earthiness along with a smell of death that reminds me of my sister and myself so who are you Outsider." Welp the game is up about my bloodline, then maybe I can bet on it.

"I bear the blood of Zeus and Gaia as my Grandparents and a powerful dryad is my mother along with the Godslayer Scathach." Man saying that out loud sounds like bragging.

Remilia was already old before she and her sister came to Gensokyo so she knew exactly what I meant so her expression finally showed some interest at my origins. "Oh some of the Olympian's brood escaped, I see although the tale of how you came to Gensokyo may be interesting I have something else more interesting to me in mind. Now you want the blood mist gone but I don't, its nice to be able to walk around in the sun but then again I kind of want to keep you here now for your blood it will be delicious." I snorted at being kept as a blood bank. "Oh don't worry boy I would treat you as a favored pet and not a blood slave I destroy mentally to keep docile." Her smile was terrifying me so I gulped and stood up preparing to summon my glyph and Fiendfyre to burn this whole mansion to the ground wordlessly.

"Oh that's cute now what is your name I will need something to put on your collar." She snarked standing up to face me ands we were the same height so our eyes met perfectly and the mansion started to shake with the outpour of our energies.

"My name is Jake Barris The Wizard Of The Tower of Stars" I made up a fancy name mentally promising to make my tower shoot stars or something to match my title knowing how these people love there titles.

I was right Remilia grinned with a bloodthirsty expression "Not bad Jake I will have to have that so called Tower Of Stars demolished, the only title you shall answer too is Jake the pet of Remilia Scarlet heiress of the Carmilla Faction and Lady of the Scarlet Devil Mansion."

Snorting I started the unavoidable conflict by trying to get more room by sending a blasting charm at one of the windows being covered by thick drapes and the spell exploded on contact with the drapes but after the light faded we saw the drapes were undamaged if anything I just knocked the dust off... "Yeah here in Gensokyo if you don't enchant your property its impossible to keep anything nice." She said shrugging as my plan to get outside failed so I just turned back to her.

She was within kissing distance and I could feel her breathe against my lips and her eyes were bearing into my own, Blue eyes met Crimson slits as her gaze hypnotized me she leaned in to wrap her arms around me with her head dipping towards my neck silently.

"Flippendo!" I shouted getting my mind out of her glowing eyes, sending her sliding back although she was clearly able to fight off the flipping aspect of the spell she wasn't able to disable the pure kinetic energy sending her backwards.

She wordlessly threw out a hand and and a number of crimson chains started to fly around the room trying to capture me and we both took to the air inside the the large dinning room thankfully the space inside these rooms were so expanded just this room alone was a solid twenty meters high and even longer so we had plenty of room to maneuver and I was abusing that to dodge around pillars to tangle up her dozens of barbed chains.

I summoned my Glyph and started shooting blasting curses at her that exploded against her own Glyph she was prompted to summon which started to shoot waves of large knives at me and around the room.

There was now a big problem the knives were starting to bounce off the walls so I couldn't keep up with them as I was gouged on my back making me hiss from the harsh burning feeling of the exposed cut. Remilia audibly sniffed the air and if I was older I would be worried about my virtues at her hungry expression which clearly said she was going to lick that wound up making me shiver.

"Hmm Jake wanna call it quits? I have you outmatched and I admit that blood is driving me to want to drink you dry and that would be a tragedy." She said and with a flourish as even more knives started to be shot out normally the knives had green handles but now some of them had red ones and after dodging one and shooting a gouging curse at her in response I screamed as a blade was lodged in the side of leg. 'It was the red handled knife they could boomerang around fuck!' I mentally screamed.

Panicking I summoned my trump card "Fiendfyre!" And a large dragon made of purple flames formed and roared out at Remilia and even the so called enchantments couldn't withstand the hungry flames as the previously untouched carpet started to smolder and with a loud exhale the dragon started to suck in all the knifes in the air to devour the magic.

Seeing that Remilia cocked an eyebrow in interest before sighing ruefully "Jake that's a scary little trick but unfortunately for you, I have my own." She raised her hand at the dragon and nothing fancy happened till with a blink of my eyes it was just gone like it was never there to begin with. She saw my shocked expression and with a evil giggle explained like any good evil mastermind. "I have the ability to control fate itself so a temporary magical construct's fate is all too easily to delete in comparison to someone alive." She laughed and then the conjured chains came back and tried to encompass me and instead of trying to animate and control the Fiendfyre flames I just started blasting it like a flame thrower at full power.

BOOM! The floor melted all the way through showing the room beneath us and the expanded space was starting to become unstable with how the room was shrinking and expanding like a rubberband would stretch back and forth.

"Enough Lady Remilia! that's enough damage to the house please." I was clocked on the head with something hard and became dizzy and lost control of my Flying Carpet and started to glide away from whoever hit me only for a woman in a blue maid dress to appear in front of me holding a handful of knives in her hand.

"So is this going to be a two on one then?" I said looking at Sakuya and I was well aware I had zero chance against the both of them. While I was busy staring down Sakuya one of Remilia's chains snagged my foot and yanked me off my Flying Carpet and smashed me into a wall and then another repeatedly till I lost consciousness.
