19 Chapter 18

Waking up to ceiling you don't recognize is never pleasant. "So you are awake huh. I thought you would need to heal for the rest of the day after being rag dolled by Lady Remilia."

Grimacing at how sore my body was I stood up and glared at the cool maid. "What do you want? here to brag about stopping time to club me over the head hmmph." Even she looked a bit sheepish about that. I tried to rub my head and felt a something that sparked rage in me I was wearing a fucking collar.

Grabbing it I said "Effansco" and vanished the collar making Sakuya glare at me. "Fuck you I am no one's pet." I said with a cheery smile, and managed to stagger to my feet and seeing I was only in my pants I twitched. Ignoring that I spun and tried apparate and felt a like I ran into a brick wall and I got a nose bleed and made Sakuya twitch.

She sighed "Look you're life is guaranteed here so long as you are willing to behave so stop trying to teleport, for people who can manipulate space or time like me, stopping you is easy we just need to know you are about to do it and just make space more solid."

Giving the maid a cheery grin I activated my last little trump card and pulled out a little coin I kept in my pocket and with an actually painful yanking sensation I was torn from the Scarlet Devil Mansion violently being thrown around by spatial turbulence and was smashed onto the stone floor of my castle floor. groaning my abused body just wanted to shut down...

"Damn portkeys they are always harsher than apparating not to mention she was holding space together ugh." I heard a snigger and whipped my head to side to see Reimu and Marisa eating my food and Marisa was holding her stomach and clearly trying not to laugh but failing.

"So what happened to you Jake and why are you missing you're shirt?" Reimu asked me and although I could tell she was finding this funny she was still somewhat concerned for me.

I just laid my body flat on the cold stone ground and started to tell them what I found. "I found out who is making the blood mist and confronted them, as you can see it didn't work out well and got sucker punched by one of there friends who proceeded to steal my clothes and touch my no no zone." I fake sniffled and for a moment Reimu's eyes were full of rage then "Woosh" A tear in space came and a woman walked out and she had nine beautiful tales behind her.

"Oh Jake don't mislead her too much even if most of that was true." Ran said softly and she gently picked me off the ground and deposited me into an empty couch and pulled my head into a lap pillow.

"Why are you here Ran?" I said simply and tried to ignore the feeling of her tails wrapping around me and the soft fluffiness before giving up and just stroked them softly.

Marisa walked over to my kitchen and pulled out even more of my food and I saw they literally been pigging out and ate more than three days worth of food and the massive stack of dishes in the sink confirmed it...

Ran just ran her hands through my hair "Well Yukari wanted you too see some of the stronger people of the world and learn where you stand in the pecking order." I mentally snorted so she sends me literally to lions den to a person who regularly eats humans sounds like appropriate baby steps sure. Ran noticed my disdain at the decision and nodded "Yes I thought much the same if she wanted that she could have just as easily done it herself and you wouldn't have died or in your case been enslaved."

Reimu nodded to her words "Yeah even my mother made me walk through the whole Forest of Magic after learning a lot from her to make sure I was worthy to be the Hakurei Shrine maiden. I almost died many times there even lost a few fights and had to escape." She said with a reminiscing look in her eyes.

Even if I wanted to be pissed at them for manipulating this situation I needed this wakeup call to get stronger even if my magic was very versatile I couldn't just rely on just Fiendfyre to overpower others with how varied and powerful some of the foes I will face later on if I want to be relevant.

I decided to just relax and enjoy the pampering and just threw out a couple charms to clean the dishes from Ran's lap. "Hey Reimu could you make me something to eat as well?"

She just huffed and and threw me a couple rice balls and I levitated them to me and carefully ate them around the swaying of Ran's tails it was an interesting game and even the other girls stopped to watch it before Ran coughed "Ok Jake maybe you should share what happened so the incident can be stopped the human village is going to riot if it continues for too much longer."

"Ok so the big mansion by the spirit river is called the Scarlet Devil Mansion and it's own by a Remilia Scarlet." And so on I went telling them about how the space inside the mansion was heavily stretched so they could easily get lost in the much larger than it appeared mansion and the occupants especially the time stopping and fate altering nonsense they could and Reimu nodded giving the warning there weight while Marisa just looked excited.

"Reimu lets go and take care of it!" Marisa cried out in excitement and Reimu nodded and they stood up to leave.

I called out to the girls leaving "Be careful you two there's a lot of strong people there!" I just know those idiots are going to split up and none of the people there are weak but they should be fine. After a moment I asked Ran "So what should I do now? How should I go about getting stronger." I partly mused to myself

Ran stood me up and sat me beside her. "Well I see two major options you could go learn swordsmanship from the ghost princess's servant. Yukari knows them and are friends with the princess in question or you can try to learn from the Oni's in the old hell but that comes at a significant risk to yourself.

I nodded and thought for a while, honestly being a beatstick and punching people into the ground was nice and all but I rather keep some distance and learn how to use a swords. "Can you help set up a meeting with the ghost princess?"

She sighed and looked at me with pity "The shrine you will going to is called the Hakugyokurou shrine and the princess is the shrine maiden and she is um... very free spirited you will have to be careful of her pranks. Oh and the princess's name is Yuyuko Saigyouji, and you're teachers name is Youmu Konpaku."

I nodded and asked "Ok so when can this start?"

Ran seemed to be in thought "Well Yukari just went back to sleep so it will be a couple days till she feels like getting up so just rest up and I am afraid you will have to get there on your own we aren't allowed to take other people across the spirit river you must get there on your own, but we will tell you when to go there."

I agreed to wait till they gave me a heads up and after a bit more of small talk about Chen's antics Ran left through one of Yukari's gaps and I was left alone so I went to take a shower and get cleaned off.
