No one will believe you(chapter 12)

That night Jennie didn't sleep well she had alot of nightmares,she would wake up covered in sweat breathing heavily.She was hungry but was scared to go grab snacks in the kitchen,but she wasn't the only one who couldn't sleep,her mother couldn't sleep either she kept on thinking about her daughter.They didn't have a good relationship,they hardly talked and despite seeing her daughter being treated badly she said nothing,how could she go and ask her daughter what was troubling her,there was a time they were close she was young at that time even her brother loved her,they used to play alot and she treated both of them with love and care but things changed once Jacob went in highschool,he had been admitted in highschool,it was a prestigious school they celebrate him and were happy for him but once he came back from school during school break he came as a complete different person.He became competitive and tried to prove to be better than her sister,he humiliated her sister whenever he got a chance,she had tried to talk to him but things got even more ugly and that's was the genesis of their broken relationship.

At Alice's mansion, Alice sat on her bed smoking cigarette, something was on her mind and she felt restless after that night at the party she hadn't heard from Jennie.She was scared that she might have told her parents,if she did she would get into trouble.Though her friends were also part of the plan she was the mastermind ,she was the one who drugged her, though her father can protect her it would be hard since Jennie father was also powerful,they could become enemies with the Louis."Maybe she didn't tell them otherwise they would have called me or my dad" she said taking a puff from her cigarette.She took out her phone and send a message to their group chat,she decided to visit Jennie at her place early in the morning,she still had her purse she can pretend to bring it to her and find out if she had told her parents what they had done.After waking up from her nightmare Jennie sat down on her bed and sighed out loudly,she couldn't get the events of that night out of her mind,she stood up and decided to take a shower,she decided to tell her parents what had happened to her,she hoped they would believe her and give her justice.

After taking a shower she didn't go to sleep,she was scared of the nightmares.Early in the morning Jennie went to the dining room,her father and brother were having their breakfast her mother wasn't there,"morning Jennie are you okay now?" asked Mr Louis with concern look, Jennie was suprised it seemed what she had told her father,he had listened and decided to treat her better."Morning dad" she replied,she was far from okay but she didn't want her father to know,but she couldn't hide how tired and trouble she was."Sit down and have your breakfast,from today onwards you will not be preparing breakfast or diner for us,you can prepare if you want to but don't force yourself" he patted her daughter's shoulder as she sat next to her father though she felt resentment for how he had treated her she was a little happy for how her father treated her and hoped their relationship would improve.Jacob looked at her sister with hate and anger in his eyes,his father had served her sister breakfast,he neve did that to him,his hate for her increased tenfold.Jennie saw his brother looking at her with hate but she didn't care,if he hated her it was his problem not hers,she had alot of problems to deal with and he was the least of her problems

As they ate their breakfast,the door bell rang and one of the maids opened the door."Morning" Alice greeted the maid,"Morning ma'am"the maid replied."I came to see Jennie I'm her friend" she said the maid nooded her head and let her in,the maid brought her where they were having their breakfast."Morning everyone" she greeted happily,Jennie froze after seeing her,she began shaking,sweat forming on her forehead,her eyes had unconcealed hate and anger,"Morning Alice "replied Mr Louis with a smile "what has brought you here so early sit and have beekafast" Alice laughed "I'm fine I just came to see Jennie she left her purse at the party,I brought it for her" Jacob rolled his eyes at her act,the way she was acting anybody could tell she was pretending to be good friend with Jennie.Mr Louis looked at her daughter and smiled "I'm happy that you two are friends,she is so lucky to have you as her friend,you went all that trouble just to bring her purse" Mr Louis said pleased with her daugher,if she was friends with her it meant he could work with Alice's father in the future with that though a smile appeared on his face,Jacob could guess what his father was thinking and was displeased."We have finished eating breakfast you two can talk we will leave for work and also Jenni take as many days off as you want when you feel better you can come to work"Jennie nodded and both him and Jacob left.The smile on Alice face was gone replaced with a sneer " so you're sick" she asked with arrogant voice, Jennie clenched her fist and looked at Alice " what do you want" she said gritting her teeth, seeing her like this made Alice happy,"nothing I just wanted to know if you had told anyone what happened that night but it seemed you didn't,you're smart after all" she said,after being reminded of that night tears formed in her eyes.Alice had came to taunt her,she laughed looking at her pained expression,"why didn't you tell them,aaah you think they won't believe you right?" she was having alot of fun taunting her, Jennie kept quite she wanted to lash out with anger but controlled her emotions.After taunting her for sometime Alice threw her purse at her it hit her chest," you better not tell anyone about what happened or else I'll make you more miserable than you are,also I'm sure no one will believe you, you're pathetic" she said with mockery Jennie trembled slightly it seemed her life was never going to change,Alice left without looking back, Jennie broke down and cried bitterly no one will ever know the injustice done to her,but she didn't know that someone had heard their conversation and left with tears.

Alice sat on the couch with her friends,"wow you must be really happy your father gifted you this big mansion,you father really loves you" Sandra said trying to flatter her,Alice smirked at her comment,of course her father loved her she was his only child."Why did you tell us to come here" asked Joan."That day at the club we failed to catch Jennie I'm scared she might tell on us" Alice said."If what happened is known by others my mother will kill me,her reputation is important,as an actress if her daughter is accused of bullying and drugging someone her career might came to an end" Sandra said panicking.Alice looked at her with disgust "why are you panicking, your mother is just an actress my father is a politician so if this gets out I'll be in more trouble so you better stop talking about your mother and help me find a solution" Alice scolded.Joan sat there silent,"what do we do?" Alice asked,"You said you went to visit her this morning right?" Joan asked,Alice nodded her head in agreement,"did she tell anyone about that night?" she asked again."I don't think so,her father was friendly,so he doesn't know,I heard her brother and mother hates her so they also don't know but I'm afraid she might have told someone else apart from her family" Alice replied."Then why are you scared? if she reports us we will have to deny,were many of us but she is alone,she doesn't have prove we drugged her so all of you should seal your mouth and say nothing" Joan said.Alice smiled and said"you're right if we deny her accusations no one will believe we did it,but let me ask you who do you think she slept with?" Joan scoffed "Maybe an old man in the VIP room too bad the manager of the club refused to give me the list of vip guest I would have searched to know who she slept with" "but don't you think we went too far this time?" Sandra asked,Alice looked at her with despise " All I did was to help her have a wonderful night with her future husband but she decided to spent it with a old man it's her fault" she said, Joan rolled her eyes,"I heard you're dating her brother" she's said,Alice panicked but didn't show it she smiled and said "it's all rumours I can never date someone related to Jenni".Whatever I'll go now my father wants to see me" and with that Joan left.Though they were best friends they treated Sandra like a nobody and disregarded her that's because her mother wasn't that powerful,though she hated it she could do nothing but just endure their harsh treatment because she benefitted alot in their friendship."You should also go" Alice said and left.
