Kai looked at the lovely, soft woman in his arms that was looking at him with half-closed lids which partially hid a hazy, dreamy look.

Her lips were moist from their kiss and slightly parted, as she breathed through them. And he could hear how affected she was from their intense kiss.

Kai groaned.

Dear Lord, give him strength.

As much as she appeared to be willing, Kai was not willing to take her up on the offer. They were caught up in the heat of the moment and the last thing he wanted was for her to regret it afterward.

She had always been so firm from the beginning and yes, he had always been shameless enough to push his boundaries; but he would not take advantage of the situation.

"If you really don't want me to stop," Kai told her seriously, "I still would."

Lianne looked at him puzzedly, but was a little bit embarrassed for her bold words earlier.
