Not Going To Deal With Them

"Call me Sir Taff," Ruby said to the guard before she turned around and walked to the window with her fingers intertwined behind her. These were people that had to be dealt with with care and Ruby didn't think that she should go ahead to grant the man audience. She waited as her mind drifted to Mabon one more time while her heart went out to him, hoping that he was safe wherever he was and that he'd return to them whole.

Some minutes passed and there was a knock on her door. "Come in, Taff," Ruby said knowing who was there already.

"My queen," Taff greeted with a bow of his head as he fixed his arms into each of his sleeves.

"You asked for me…"

"I'm worried," Ruby said.

"I can see it in your eyes, My queen," Taff said as his head bent to the side. He had a concerned look on his face as he'd been thinking about how the queen was holding up. He knew that she was practically looking out the window for the commander.
