In a blinding flash of light, Chronos and the 59 other cadets were suddenly beamed into the center of the Grand Hall of the Colosseum.
The Grand Hall of the Colosseum was a sight to behold.
The walls were adorned with intricate carvings and murals depicting battles and heroes of ages long past, and the ceiling arched high above, seeming to reach for the very stars themselves.
At the center of the Grand Hall was a circular platform, surrounded by six smaller platforms, each one connected by a narrow bridge.
This was where the tournament would take place and where the cadets were teleported to.
A disembodied voice boomed out from an intercom system somewhere above.
"This is the First Round of the Tournament, the 60 of you will engage in a royal rumble-style elimination match until only 20 remain standing…"
"Your preferred weapons based on your latest stat scans can be retrieved from the inventory panel… Now… BEGIN!"
