25 Goblin

In the southern entrance of the village that is facing the forest, Estel can be seen standing on guard, ready for any situation that may come to their village. Estel was thinking of ways to help and accomplish his majesties orders.

While she was thinking, she suddenly noticed some movement in the forest. Noticing the abnormal situation, she quickly drew the bow hanging in her back, latched some arrows, and shot the movement in the forest.

After shooting an arrow, she suddenly heard a shriek, followed by what seemed to be the sound of running away. Due to that, she was able to get a clear view of the source of the shriek.

It was a small green creature, probably half the size of a human. Despite its cute size, it looked completely hideous. The small green creature was equipped with tattered clothes and a dull bow.

Estel acted quickly and latched another arrow. She applied some mana similar to what Avery had taught her. She released the arrow and was able to cleanly hit the small green creature by the head.

After killing the said creature, Estel slowly approached the corpse while looking on guard for possible reinforcements.

Arriving by the body, she noticed the equipment and weapons which is a clear sign that they have some sort of intelligence. She inspected and took the coins that appeared by the side of the creature and decided to survey the surrounding area for any signs of companions.

After a while, she found footprints of something. Based on the size and appearance of the footprint, Estel concluded that it was the footprint of the same small green creature that she just killed. However, Estel found that the footprint was not for only one person. It was clear that there was another creature that came with the one she just killed, and that the other one probably already escaped.

Noticing this abnormality, she decided to go back and report this to his and her majesties as quickly as possible.

Present time...

"Did you really discover one?" Avery Asked with a frown.

"Yes, Your majesty." Estel confirmed.

'Based on the description Estel gave, that small green creature was probably a goblin scout.' The way it clothed, the weapon of choice, and other small things all matched the description of a goblin scout.

Noticing that something was wrong, Yue approached the two of them to ask what happened.

"Is something wrong, Big brother?"

"Not really, but Estel discovered a goblin by the forest."

"Goblin? You mean those green creatures in fantasy books?"

"Yes… but they are more than small green creatures that plunder and rape women."

"Rape…" Yue frowned at those words. She slightly shook her head to get those things off her mind and got back to the topic. "If they are more than brainless creatures, are you implying that they are capable of higher intellect like humans?"

"Yes. They are capable of creating their own civilization. A civilization with its own unique specialization. And from what Estel said, the goblin that approached our village was clearly a scout."

"Hmm… if there is a goblin scout here, it only means that there is a gathering of goblins nearby." Yue added.

"Yes, and a scout coming to this place only means that they are looking for another village to prey on."

"Can you tell the size of their gathering, big brother?"

"Yes… based on the quality of their equipment, I am sure that the gathering is only an outpost of about 10-20 goblin."

"We can't let them invade our beautiful village right brother? So why not attack them before they attack us!" Yue said with excitement in her eyes. She clearly wants to try her magic in action.

Looking at her, Avery decided to follow through. Since there were only about 10-20, he was confident in taking them all on his own if he plans his actions right. Plus, with Yue and one of the generals fighting alongside him, he was sure to succeed without a scratch.

"Okay."

"Yey! I finally get to see my magic in action. Thanks, Big brother!!"

"Come on, let's go prepare. I also have some orders to give before leaving."

With that said. They prepared and equip themselves with equipment found in the blacksmith. Avery also decided to bring Estel with them while leaving Lia behind to take care of the security of the village while they were gone.

Avery also tasked Elrand to supervise the construction of residential buildings and the school. He also added that he send some villagers to survey the plains in the north to check if the place is fertile and fit for them to plant some crops.

Avery did not want to rely on hunting and gathering forever, so he plans to check the surrounding area to grow food for them. Normally, the crops will take longer to grow, probably taking months before harvest. However, he remembers a method of using magic and imbuing the plant to help them grow faster.

He plans to tell the idea to Lindir so that he could research it later on. Though for now, he wants him to finish enchanting the equipment they have in the village and gain some foundation on his knowledge before letting him on this project.

After giving his order around, Avery then went to the entrance of the village in order to start their expedition.

There he saw her beautiful cute sister along with Estel waiting for him. They were equipped with the basic armor and weapon that Lindir finished enchanting.

Seeing Avery, approaching them, Yue called out as she ran towards her bib brother "Big brother!" She then hugs Avery and asks as she looks at his face with a grin her smile. "Are you ready? It's going to be tiring later on."

Avery looked at her as he decided to tease her back "Of course… however, it's your first time, are you prepared?"

"Hehe... even if it is my first, as long as it's with you I am fine with any approach, just be gentle alright." Yue teased back on with her own line.

"Oh.. I'll make sure to be gentle."

At the side, Estel was blushing as she listen to the two exchange lines on their own. Her face became redder as she listen to them converse in something that could be taken as something else to people who do not know the context of their conversation.
