24 Return | Morning Lessons

Avery walked out of his bedroom and went to the living room. There he saw the television was on as Yue sat on the couch scrolling through her phone.

Yue was looking at the pictures of Avery and her on her phone. A grin was plastered on her smile as she looked at the pictures she took. Some were old pictures of her and her big brother, while some were photos of Avery that she secretly took. She was so focused on looking at the pictures that she did not notice Avery entering the living room.

Avery stopped for a second and thought of something. His mouth then formed into a small grin as he decided to tease his little sister.

Avery then sneaked up behind the couch and closed in on Yue. He then slowly blew a hot breath beside her ears. "What's got you so occupied, Little Yue?" Avery whispered in her ears.

Yue felt something hot in her ears as shivers went up to her spine. She let out a surprised yelp as she looked at the person who did it, and saw Avery with a grin plastered on his face.

"B-Big Brother! What are you doing here?!" She let out a cute exclamation as she quickly hid her phone, seeing that Avery was there.

'D-Did he s-see it?' Inside her mind, she was worried that her big brother saw the content of her phone. She did not want her Big brother to think of her as someone weird who would secretly take a picture of him and stare at it while he was away.

"I was going to call you since we are going back inside the Ascended World."

"D-Did you see it?"

"See what?" Aver asked with a confused face.

'Sigh… good, looks like he doesn't have any clue.' Yue thought in relief.

Seeing her relieved look, Avery thought she looked very cute 'Hehe, you're so cute, Little Yue. I know you're taking pictures of me secretly… well it's not like I mind. In fact, I actually love it when you do that. It shows how much you pay attention to me.'

Yue quickly regained herself as she let out a beautiful smile at Avery "Nothing, Big brother." She then stood up and quickly pulled Avery back to his bedroom. "Anyway, forget about that, let's go!"

Inside the bedroom, Yue was laying down on the bed as she waited for Avery to take the Crystal of Ascension by the desk.

Taking the glowing crystals, Avery gives one to Yue as he lays down beside her. Yue then clings and hugs Avery. Noticing her action, Avery looks at Yue only to see her giving him a smile. He smiles back and activates the crystal.

Their eyes slowly close as they quickly become unconscious. They then opened their eyes and saw that they were back at the village hall, the same location where they last logged out. The sunlight was shining through the windows making the room bright.

"Welcome back, Your Majesties!" Avery and Yue looked towards the direction where the sound came from. They then saw Elrand kneeling at the side, probably waiting for their arrival.

"Nn. You may rise." Upon hearing Avery, Elrand then slowly got up and waited for further orders.

"Did the villagers eat breakfast already?"

"Yes, your majesty. They are done eating breakfast and are now cleaning up and preparing for work."

"Nn. After they are done, gather them by the plaza."

After receiving the order, Elrand quickly left in order to accomplish his task. Yue then looked at Avery questioningly, asking what he intended to do.

Seeing the questioning look on her face. Avery decided to satisfy her curiosity.

"After our session yesterday, I decided to teach the villagers every morning until I find someone suitable."

"Oh… but can I help?" Yue asked cutely.

"Hmm… Okay. I'll let you teach the basics of magic, the things I taught you yesterday along with Lia, Estel, and Lindir." He decided to let her teach them as it also let her have some more exposure to the villagers. One thing he learned as an emperor is that they need to be close to the people to understand them better.

He was planning to teach the basics of magic anyway, he might as well give her the task. Other than that he also plans to teach some other magics that could help increase the efficiency of their resource gathering. This would allow them to be more proficient and familiar with magic so that there would be no problem when the time comes for them to shift or move to the military.

"Yay! Thank you, Big brother!" Yue exclaimed cheerfully.

"Come on let's go and prepare."

They then went to the plaza and prepared for themselves as they waited for the villagers to arrive.

After waiting for a while the villagers start to gather by the plaza. Lia, Estel, Haldir, and Lindir quickly went to their side and greeted them just like how Elrand greeted them when they arrived.

The villagers were talking amongst themselves as they wondered what the occasion was for. After seeing that, the villagers finally arrive. Avery first ordered Lia and Estel to stand guard in case something approached them. He and Yue then stood by the platform as they prepared to address the villagers.

"Good Morning Everyone, as you all know we are a race that is gifted in the arts of Magic. In order to reach and utilize our potential to the fullest, I have gathered you here to teach you magic. Every morning, at the same time, Little Yue and I will personally teach you magic until I find someone suitable enough to teach you." Avery of course can't keep on teaching everyone everyday. He has some other things that need his attention. He was hoping that by the time the school is finished building he would be able to find someone suitable enough to teach.

After introducing the purpose and his plans, he then gave the stage to Yue who smiled at him as she proceeded to stand in front of everyone.

"As my brother said, I am going to be teaching you guys the basics of magic…" Yue then proceeds to teach them the basics of magic, mana, mana circles, and etc.

Not far away, Avery stared at his sister as she explained what magic and mana are. He was hypnotized. His sister was really beautiful, the posture, the smile, the gestures, and all other things add together just to make a beautiful sight for Avery.

He was so focused on his own little world that he did not notice that she was already done teaching and was standing in front of him.

Noticing that her big brother seems out of it. She bends forward, bringing her face closer, and waves her hand in front of his face as she calls out to him. "Hello? Is Big brother there?"

"Ah!" He was surprised since his sister was suddenly in front of him. He noticed that her face was so close at that moment. Taken off guard, his face starts to warm up as a blush makes up his face.

He quickly backs off and slowly regains his bearing. "Cough! Cough! Sorry, I was just thinking of something."

"What were you thinking, to be so out of it?"

"Ohh, it's nothing."

"Hmm…" Yue looks at Avery suspiciously.

"Really, it's nothing. Anyway, it's my turn so I'll go and teach them now." He quickly leaves.

Yue decided to leave it be and to watch her big brother teach.

At this stage, Avery decided to continue where Yue left off. He continued increasing their foundation and helping them build their magic circle using the [Heavenly Forming Method]. The very same method he taught to the others.

With the exception of Haldir who was one of the first five villagers, the time it took for them to have enough control to start doing the [Heavenly Forming Method] was longer than the people he taught yesterday.

The current people he was teaching had varying talents so some were able to finish forming their first Mana Circle faster than others. Along the way, Yue also joined him in teaching the others as she has experience in this area.

After they finished forming their first mana circle. Avery then taught them how to use that mana to enhance their body so that they could move faster and become stronger. He explained the theory and helped them in practice.

He was about to teach them three basic magic spells: [Cut], [Weight Magic], and [Levitation] which could help them significantly in their work. However, he was interrupted by Estel as she told him what they found.

"Did you really discover one?" Avery Asked with a frown.

"Yes, Your majesty." Estel confirmed.
