Feast

After some more walking, Avery and Yue finally arrived at the village. There they were greeted by a worried Estel.

"Your Majesties! Are both of you alright!" Estel greeted with a worried look on her face as she carefully inspected the two for signs of injury.

"You don't have to worry Estel, Big brother is there to take care of things."

"Yes, like I said I can handle it if something happens. Plus we did not even encounter any danger along the way."

"Sigh* I am just worried about your Majesties, we don't know what will happen if something happens to both of you."

After calming Estel down, Avery asked about the current situation.

"Everything is going smoothly your Majesty. The gathering of logs is doing great with Lia guarding them, they don't have to worry if some wild animal goes to them."

"Great, I want you to take these two deers and prepare them for lunch. We have to thank them for the hard work they are doing."

"There's no need for this, your majesty. It's already enough to be able to work for the both of you."

"Just accept it Estel, giving them some meat would motivate the new villagers." Avery said with a tone that says he won't accept a no for an answer.

"Big brother is right Estel, plus having a full stomach would give them more energy to work the following day."

Having said those words, Estel finally relented and went ahead to prepare the two deers leaving the two alone.

"I haven't asked this Big brother because of the things happening, but what happened to the real world, can we still go back?"

"Why? Don't you like it here?"

"No! Of course, I like it here!" Exclaimed Yue. "There's magic, we have our own village that we can build, there also Lia and the others who are loyal to us, and especially since I can enjoy these things together with you big brother." Yue said, while saying the last part shyly.

Avery smiled hearing the last part. "Earth should be in chaos right now and won't be able to recuperate for while. Although I said hours ago that the world would end, it is still not going to happen until a few years have passed."

'And by that time, everyone regardless of whether they have a crystal of ascension or not, will be forced to permanently live in the ascended world thus truly becoming a part of the ascended universe.'

"So we can still go back?"

"Yes, we can freely go back and forth using the crystal of ascension. Though there is a time difference, as an hour on earth is two hours here in the Ascended World."

"You mean, we can go back right now?"

"Nn." Avery nodded. "But there is no need to go back immediately, we still have some time."

They continued to talk with one another until they decided to help out on some work.

Lia, Estel, and Elrand, of course disagreed as they didn't want to bother the two rulers.

However, the two siblings insisted so the three could do nothing but reluctantly agree.

Avery went to help the villagers in gathering some logs, while Yue helped gather some herbs and fruits nearby.

Seeing their rulers help and work hard with them, the new villagers could not help but feel some respect for them. This resulted in the Popular Support of the Village to rise from 73.3% to 80%.

'Using an axe is very inefficient. I would have used the wind spell [Cut] to chop this tree immediately but…'

'My mana is insufficient even if I earned that measly 40 points of mana from the little bit of condensing I did a while ago. Though I could cast one for 20 mana, but I do not want to risk mana deficiency.'

'I could teach the villagers this spell tomorrow as this would essentially help in increase the gathering speed.'

'They could also use this chance to increase their mastery over magic.'

Time passes by as the sun starts to set. Everyone goes back to the village for dinner.

When they arrived, the villagers were greeted with a feast of meat in the center of the village.

"Wow! is this for us?" Asks one of the villagers.

"It looks delicious!"

"After a long day of work is really making me starve!"

Elrand frowned at their behavior and disrespect towards their majesties and reprimanded them.

"No need to be like that Elrand." Avery said

"Eat up! My people deserve some reward for the hard work they have given for this village."

"Yes! Especially since Big brother hunted this on his own. It would be a waste if we are the only one eating them."

Hearing that his majesty hunted it just for them, they could not help but feel some more respect for their rulers which eventually raised the Popular support of the village to 86%.

"Thank you, your majesty!!" They all thanked Avery together.

They all then went in to eat. While Avery and Yue went to the village hall.

They then sat at a table beside the window overlooking the plaza where the elves happily ate the food.

Looking at the scene outside, Yue couldn't help but smile.

Seeing that, Avery curiously asked. "Don't you wanna join and eat?"

Yue then looked back at Avery with a brighter smile. "I am more happy if I am with you, Big brother."

Avery could not help but feel incredibly happy after hearing those words.

They then heard someone walking to them. Looking at the side, they saw Elrand coming in with two servings of food.

"Your Majesties, here is your food."

"Thank you, Elrand!" Yue thanked cheerfully.

Elrand then proceeds to set the food on the table. After that he simply stands there.

Yue and Avery waited for him to leave since they wanted to eat alone together.

But, Elrand seems to not take notice and simply stands there silently.

After some more awkward silence, Avery then decides to ask. "Elrand, why don't you join them outside."

"I am more than satisfied to wait here for your majesties."

'Sigh* Their loyalty can sometimes be annoying whenever I want to be alone with Little Yue'

"You also need to have fun yourself sometimes." Yue said.

"But.."

"I insist Elrand." Yue said with a hard smile plastered on her face.

Seeing that, Elrand could not help but feel a shiver ran down his spine.

"Ye-yes your majesty." Elrand said nervously.

He then left the two siblings alone and joined the feast outside.

"Finally." Yue and Avery sighed at the same time. They then went silent and stared at one another before breaking into a fit of laughter.

After calming down, they then happily ate while chatting with one another as the background noise of the people outside laughing and having fun was heard.
